The salty wind blew against her face, played with her bronze curls and messed her hair a bit. Renesmee walked along La Push first beach with her hands in her pockets, enjoying her day alone. The sky was grey and cloudy, which was a good thing since she absolutely did not fancy having someone, especially human, catch the moment when her skin glowed under the sunlight. She was one of the few…bloodsuckers allowed to roam freely around La Push and she was grateful for that, despite the fact that she was not a true vampire in every meaning. The wolves and vampires were born to be enemies and that a vampire stepping into the wolves’ territory was somewhat unacceptable to them. Fortunately, her family and her shifter friends had a little treaty to keep the peace upheld as the Cullens did not mean threat to the human community as well as the shifters in the area. Furthermore, the shifters had somehow attempted to be friendlier towards her family due to the fact that they had been through so much together. Vampires and shifters stood together in the battlefield was something unimaginable but it had happened. The Cullens had return after fifty years of vanishing. She remembered how reluctant the whole family had been when they had to leave Forks, and how sad she had been to leave Jacob and her other shifter friends behind. Forks was her home, where she had been born, where she had grown up and where her heart truly belonged. It was the place of love and friendship. Leaving it was the most terrible thing she had had to do in her entire life. But everything had got back to normal now that they had returned from the world. Hearts were back home finally. Renesmee remembered missing walking along the shore, listening to the songs of the waves, hearing the wind whisper in her ear. She wished her time in Forks would last forever; the family would never have to move again and remain in this lovely town as long as forever lasts. But it was impossible. Life changes, people changes but the creatures with cold, non-beating heart would never change. One way or another, someone would find out what they were if they did not move. The younger Renesmee used to have a silly childish dream: putting Forks in her backpack so as to be able to carry it around the world with her. Her parents had laughed at that idea, commented how innocent she had been. That silly dream was like the belief in Santa Clause – it was fictional yet amazing to think of.
Renesmee closed her eyes suddenly. A distinguished sound caught her attraction. She could hear the melodies of a song – a song that she knew. Nevertheless, the sound was very low and she had to focus to hear it clearly. Had she been a true vampire, she would have been able to hear it clearly without trying. Her senses, despite being heightened, could not be compared to a true vampire’s. She knew the song and she liked it very much, she just did not know what the name of it was. She remembered that it had been played on the old radio in Jacob’s house. Despite not knowing the name of the song, she was pretty sure that it definitely had something to do with the Imagine Dragons. The girl looked around, excitedly searching for the source of music. Finally, her wide eyes were on a young human girl. That girl was supposedly about her age, or maybe a bit younger. Her brown hair flew gracefully in the oceanic salty wind. Renesmee liked the eyes very much. Although she was pretty far away from the girl, she could still see the hazel color of those eyes. Was that a newcomer? Honestly, to know everyone in Forks was not hard at all. So small was the town that knowing every face in town was not something impossible. People knew where you come from, who are your parents, grandparents and sometimes they even know your great-grandparents. Renesmee, despite only having been back in town for quite a short time, had known everyone living in Forks, thanks to her grandfather – Carlisle. The girl sometimes visited her grandfather at the hospital when he was working; and of course, Carlisle had proudly introduced her as his…adoptive daughter (as she was old enough to be considered as her parents’ sibling) to his patients. She sometimes helped Carlisle take care of the patients, talking to them and look after their children for them. It was understandable when she adapted that quickly.
But she had never seen that face.
Slowly, Renesmee walked towards the girl, wearing the friendliest smile on her face. As she was about a meter away from the stranger, the sweet scent of blood distracted her. Hi there! She said to the stranger. Would you mind if I asked you which of the Imagine Dragons’ songs you are listening to was? She titled her head, smiling. tagged: liliana archer :] outfit: thisooc: hope it’s okay. btw, i chose “radioactive” since you seem to like it quite much. (it’s a good song xD)

Lily laid on her bed reading as she had been doing for most of the time. She looked up briefly when she saw her mother stop by at her door. "Hey, Lils I was heading out to Seattle for the day. I know how much you hate big cities, but it's unhealthy for you to stay inside all the time" She said with a hint of worry in her voice. Lily looked up again at her worried mother and bit her lip. She had spent her time walking around in the forest since they moved here. She had even met someone, Bella was really nice, and she could officially say that she had human interaction in Forks. But she had heard a lot about the La Push reservation as well. As if her mother read her mind she spoke up saying, "La Push has a few beaches that are beautiful, and I know how much you love beaches, I could drive you there if you'd like and you could call your dad to come pick you up when you want to come home." She smiled at her daughter. Lily grinned and tapped her chin as if in thought and nodded at her mother. She grabbed her iPod(possibly her most prized possession) and exclaimed "Let's go!" She got off her bed and followed her mother out to the car. As they were driving to the Reservation Lily looked out of the open window and looked out at the blur of small houses at the predominantly green environment. The sky was grey and dreary, as it usually was around here, but that didn't make Lily not want to go to the beach. Beaches were one of her favorite places to go. It was something about the sand between her toes and the sound of the rushing water that appealed to her. It was pretty quiet except for the sound of the car on the road and the sounds of nature that rang out from time to time. They soon arrived at a beach and there was a sign that labeled it as "First Beach". "Real original" Lily muttered, but it must have been louder than she thought as her mother snorted and nodded in agreement. She turned and kissed her mother's cheek as a goodbye, "I have my phone with me if you need anything" Her mother nodded and shooed her away, "I know now get out of my car" her mother grinned at her and Lily rolled her eyes and stepped out of the car. She waved goodbye to her mother as she got back on the road. Lily looked out towards the beach and smiled softly. She started walking and found herself closer to the water. When she deemed the spot appropriate, she sat down on the sand, not really caring about getting her shorts dirty or having sand in her flats. She took her iPod out of her pocket and chose her playlist and placed it on 'shuffle'. She grinned as the first song came on, Howl by Florence and the Machine. Florence Welsh was one of her favorite artists and was actually one of Lily's musical idols. Lily tried to use the same techniques as Florence did when she sang, and although their voices were pretty different, Lily liked the outcome. As the song ended Radioactive by Imagine Dragons came on. Imagine Dragons was another group that Lily enjoyed immensely. Radioactive was a great song with great lyrics, melodies, and she absolutely loved the bass part. She saw something, or rather someone move out of the corner of her eye, Lily turned and saw a girl, about her age with flowing bronze colored hair smiling. Lily looked behind her to see if there was anyone there, but when she saw no one there, she realized that the girl must have been smiling at her. She took out an ear bud and smiled back at the girl. The girl said hello to her and Lily waved awkwardly in response. Then she asked a question that made Lily perk up, "Uh, yeah. It was Radioactive. You know Imagine Dragons?" She was slightly surprised, back home there were few people who knew who Imagine Dragons were, but that was how it was with Lily. She didn't like listening to most of the pop that was on the radio. Lily was struck by something though. The girl knew she was listening to Imagine Dragons. "Sorry, was my music really that loud that you could hear it?" She grinned sheepishly at the girl. She didn't usually put her music up to a high volume, but sometimes when she was by herself and it was a really good song she would pretty much blast it. She stood up and extended a hand out to the pretty girl in front of her, "I'm Lily Archer, I'm new to Forks, It's nice to meet you" Words: 819 Outfit: hereNotes: lol >.< It's fine, I love Imagine Dragons. I was actually listening to Radioactive when I read this

Fifty plus years had past. Forks had some changes. Of course it had to change even if it was just a super small town. Everyone had to move on and live. Coming back to Forks after such a long time meant that everyone Renesmee Cullen had known were all gone, including her dear grandfather. The girl sometimes walked by the old house of chief Swan and she usually could not hold back the tears. She hated losses because they were so sad and painful, sometimes even unbearable. Coming back to this small town after half a century meant that she had to play a stranger in her own homeland. What could be worse than that? Instead of being welcomed home like every child who came back home after a long run around the world, she had to pretend to be a newcomer – someone had just moved in and had no specific feelings for this small town. Renesmee knew every single alley of the town, every path, every house – every place. She knew it better than any kids living in Forks but still she had to pretend that everything was rand new to her. It was awkward. Well, one of the places where she could find some comfort, where she did not have to be a stranger, was La Push. La Push was like her second home because of Jacob and his pack. She was always welcomed warmly there. She loved them, each of them with her heart. They were her friends, like brothers to her. She was alive, healthy and breathing partly because of them. Had they chosen to fight for her in the confrontation with the Volturi fifty years earlier, she had not been walking along the shore, enjoying the day without worries like this. God knows she had missed them terribly when the Cullens had to move. It was so good to be back to where everything had started.
Renesmee, despite being quite a social butterfly, did not have many friends. Yes, she did have acquaintances – a lot of them. But none of them was her true friend. Heather, the girl in class that had a crush on her father, was a friend, but all that happened between them were brief conversations and mostly about her father. No one at school could make her feel that she could count on them. The girl did not try to keep distance from anyone; it was merely that she was too different from other kids at school, especially the girls. She was nothing like them; she was not even a human. The gossip girls at school liked to talk about boys and dates while she liked to talk about jumping into the water from a super high cliff. They talked about dresses while she hated those clothes as much as she hated cockroaches. The girls at school considered her as weird and out of mind sometimes. She took that as a compliment. She could deal with boys better because they enjoyed crazy and risky things like her. Nevertheless, that was the only thing she and the boys had in common. Now she understood the saying that finding a true friend among seven billion people in the world was as hard as finding a needle in Davy Jones’ locker. But she did not expect to be close to humans, although she liked them very much, because there will be chaos. If any of them happened to know what she, or her family, was, everything would end up in a mess – a bloody battle. Loneliness probably was the price of immortality. Nothing was for free after all. She sighed.
As soon as she found out the source of music was a human – graceful young girl, she found herself struggling with the decision whether to come over or not. Having companies was not bad at all but it could be dangerous. Too many people know her meant that it would be harder for her to vanish. But she could not resist the need to know the name of the song. What passionate, attractive and powerful song. The song made the young listener want to dance right there in the middle of the beach. She had to know what its name was. Approaching the human girl quietly, she started the conversation. Honestly, she did not know whether what she had done was good or bad. She wondered if this little conversation would lead to something huge in the future. A smile grew on her face as the girl answered her. Radioactive – have to remember that. She thought secretly. Even the name sounds so powerful! She commented delightfully. I do know them, not very well but I like their music. She smiled. She had happened to know the band in one time she played with her uncle’s phone. Not a lot of people know Imagine Dragons but she was sure once they heard their songs, they would not be able to do anything besides loving the band. She was a live example. No, not too loud. I was just…by chance a few steps away from you so I could hear it. She looked up at she tried to come up with a good enough excuse. She could not tell a human that she had super senses and could hear everything in her iPod easily. Pleasure to meet you, Lily. I’m Renesmee Cullen. It’s pronounced Ruh-nez-may. In case you find it too hard to pronounce, just call me Nessie. She smiled and extended her hand to the human. The nickname reminded her of her old friend – Jacob Black. New in town? That explains why you look strange to me. My family has just moved to Forks for a few months. But I think I’ve known everyone in town, except you. She said. Would you mind if I joined you? The view of the ocean is spectacular today. tagged: liliana archer :] outfit: thisooc: <3

Liliana couldn't help but smile at the girl who showed so much interest in the song. She nodded in agreement to her statement. Radioactive was one of her favorites to listen to, it was one of those songs where she could listen to it multiple times in a row and not get sick of it. And when she said that she liked them, Lily decided to like the girl as well. That was her problem most of the time. She would like someone based on if they had something in common, not on their personality, well not until she got to know them better that is.
Lily raised an eyebrow at the girl's explanation as to how she could hear the music. Lily couldn't see anyone near her until the girl made herself known. Wow, maybe she was more out of it than she thought. She needed more caffeine or something. She brushed it off and accepted the girl's explanation and smiled with wide eyes when she introduced herself. "Renesmee? That is an awesome name! It's really original!" She shook the girl's extended hand and grinned at Renesmee, or 'Nessie' which she assumed was the girl's nickname. She liked her nickname as well. It wasn't everyday she met someone who had the name nickname as the Loch Ness Monster.
She recognized the last name instantly as well. "Cullen? So are you related to Bella?" she asked. She knew that the group of Cullen kids were all adopted but they were all adopted in groups weren't they? Like her dad told her that at least three of them were blood siblings, there were a pair of twins, and Renesmee looked like she could be related to Bella.
Lily nodded to her when she repeated her statement of being new in town and nodded once more, "Yeah sure, pull up some sand, I could use some company" She smiled at Renesmee. She sat down and looked out into the ocean. The only time she could get a view like this was when her family went on their annual summer trip to South Carolina. She loved the beach, just the feeling of the sun on your back and the warm sand between your toes, and the salty breeze in your face. It was awesome, but she doubted that they would take the trip this year due to the need to settle in a bit more, but Lily didn't mind. Although the La Push beaches weren't as sunny as the ones in South Carolina, you still got the nice beach-y feel to it and Lily didn't mind one bit. "So, Renesmee, how have you been?" Lily blinked, she didn't know where that question came from, but she just went with it. She had a feeling that she would get along well with Renesmee.
Notes: Sorry it seems kind of short (well, compared to the others >.<) Tell me if you'd like me to edit anything <3

Music was not annoying, only people made it annoying. There were good songs and bad songs among billions of songs that had been written. Imagine Dragons’ were definitely the good ones. At least Renesmee was pretty sure that she would be able to listen to their songs for a long time without growing tired. She was glad Lily and she had that in common – the very first same interest they had. The hybrid got a strange yet good feeling that this potential friendship might work out better than others she had at school. Well, maybe this meeting up could truly lead to something huge. Lily’s iPod soon switched to another song and that meant there was nothing to distract her anymore so she focused on their conversation. Some giggles escaped her lips when she heard Lily compliments for her name. Her family liked it but humans found it weird simply because they could not find it in any dictionaries. This girl thought it was cool, and unique, which pleased her a lot. She was literally flattered and proud. She loved her name no matter how difficult it was to pronounce. Someone had given up trying to say it correctly, Jake for instance. So they decided that they would stick with the nickname – Nessie – which her mother hated wholeheartedly. Renesmee loved the nickname as well since it was Jacob who had given it to her, although her mother showed negative opinions about the nickname. Why, thank you! Not many people like the name because it’s too hard to pronounce correctly. I didn’t mind being named after the Loch Ness monster, if that is what you’re thinking of. My best friend gave me that name. She grinned. I believe your parents are very proud to have such a beautiful daughter like you. Even your name sounds beautiful. She said to Lily with honesty in her eyes.
Renesmee was quite surprised at the fact Lily knew her mother. Well they were not the most popular family in town, maybe only at the first few months when they had just moved into town. It took her a few seconds to choose the finest reaction to the situation. Finally, she decided to make the surprised face. Oh, you know Bella, my…sister? She tried hard not to laugh when the word sister jumped out of her mouth. She had just called her own mother her sister, which sounded weird to her yet made sense to the humans. She was kind of used to it as they needed it to keep their secret secured, otherwise things would soon be discovered and all of them would end up being executed by the Volturi – who apparently were not greatest fans of her family. Small world…Maybe you’ve already known that we and other five kids are adoptive children of Doctor Carlisle Cullen. She said, rather proudly. But soon, she hoped Lily would not try to get to know her family too much, since it would be dangerous, in every meaning of the word dangerous. They were harmless to humans, but their world was not that kind. It was best for Lily to stay away from that chaotic world.
Renesmee sat down by the girl after she had agreed. She did pay a lot of attention to the ocean, although it was breathtakingly beautiful. She liked to talk with the human. Tell me about your hometown? Is it beautiful? Did you have a good time there? She asked curiously with a bright smile, wanting so bad to know where the human came from. She must have lived in somewhere full of sunlight due to her tanned skin. Renesmee always had to avoid the sun due to the fact that she must not let anyone see her skin glow and question what she really was. She really hoped to hear about the story of a town full of sunlight from Lily. Renesmee was quite surprised to hear Lily’s next question. It was strange yet amusing. She acted like they were long lost friends. A smile grew on her lips as she answered. I’ve been better since my family moved here. The world out there is too complicated. she turned to face her new friend. I’m glad you ask, since no one has ever asked me the same thing.

The moment Lily made the connection between Renesmee's nickname and the Loch Ness Monster, the girl voiced her thoughts. Lily gaped at her for a second, "Wow, you a mind reader or something?" She joked. She grinned back at her, but the grin faltered with Nessie's next words. She called her beautiful. Renesmee was a complete stranger, an extremely pretty one at that, and she just called Lily beautiful. In Lily's whole life she had only been complemented like that a handful of times, and mostly from her relatives. To have someone completely out of the blue complement her like that struck something in Lily. She searched the girls face and finally looked into her chocolate brown eyes and saw nothing but honesty in them, and it almost brought tears to Lily's eyes.
Ever since her middle school years, she had been tormented endlessly just because of how she would express herself. She was called fat, ugly, freak, weird, and many more that were not so nice as those, the whole spectrum of insults. You think of it Lily probably was called it. People could be cruel, Lily knew that all too well, but she really felt hope in humanity when she met people like Renesmee. People who didn't judge upon appearances, or insult people because they got pleasure out of seeing the broken look on the other person's face. There should be more people like Renesmee in the world. Hazel eyes met chocolate brown ones and Lily tried putting all her emotions into two words, "Thank you"
Lily nodded at Renesmee's question about Bella. She seemed really surprised that she had, "Yeah, I was walking out in the woods a couple of days ago and I bumped into her." She explained."She's really nice, I like her." She smiled. She nodded once more at the girl's question, "Yeah, my parents told me about your family. I think that it's pretty awesome that Doctor Cullen and his wife took you all in. That shows a lot about his character" She said kindly. It really did. The man and his wife took in seven children in when they needed them most. The world didn't just need more Renesmees, heck the whole world should just be full Cullens in general.
Just when Lily thought that the meeting was going wonderfully, Renesmee asked a question that truly did want to make her cry. But this time not out of joy or happiness. Her hometown was touchy subject, it was the reason that her family moved out of little Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She was at a loss as to what to say to the girl sitting beside her. Lily took a deep breath and acted as if her inner turmoil wasn't actually bothering her. She put a smile on her face, and hoped that it didn't appear to be strained. She shrugged, "I lived in a small town in Pennsylvania, and yeah, it was beautiful. I used to go out in the evening and watch the sun set over the Susquehanna River. It really was beautiful to watch." She sighed as she remembered the nice moments that she had in her old town.
Lily glanced up at Renesmee, and shrugged again at her last question. "I-um, suppose I had a nice time?" She wanted to facepalm right then and there, she phrased it like a question! Why would she do that? She cleared her throat and tried again, "I mean to say, it was average. You live in a town, you grow up in one, you kind of just get used to everything." She explained, hoping that she sounded confident. She was not about to break down in front of a girl she just met. Especially one who had the makings to being a really good friend to Lily.
Lily smiled back at Renesmee as she answered Lily's odd question, it seemed that she found it amusing at least. That was good. Amusing could be good. Lily tilted her head in a questioning manner at Nessie's statement. The world is too complicated, indeed. She agreed, but Lily was a bit curious as to how Nessie came to know this. Lily raised an eyebrow at the girl's next statement. If Nessie didn't puzzle Lily a bit before, she sure did now. No one had ever asked her how she was? That was awful! If not a bit odd... Asking how a person was, was one of the most common forms of greeting! How was she never asked? "If you don't mind me asking why is that?" She asked all the more curious about her new acquaintance. Thinking of other ways to keep the conversation going, she began asking Renesmee questions, "So, where did you live before Forks?" She asked, since Nessie asked about where she came from, she hoped it was safe enough to ask the girl the same thing. Hopefully, her experiences in her hometown would be a lot better than Lily's
