That particular day was just like any other day for the young woman. She was excited. Returning to Forks brought good memories of her human life. It was here where she had met and married the love of her life, Edward, and it was the place she had returned to, not long after discovering she was pregnant with Renesmee. Although becoming a vampire came as naturally to her as breathing had for any human, it also came with it’s own unique set of challenges. One was that she couldn’t tell her human family the truth—Charlie and Renee especially.
She was at the house, as she was told by Nessie that Jacob was going to be bringing her home. So when she got a text message from her daughter, the vampire opened her phone. She had trusted that Jacob was going to be looking out for her. Especially since Nessie was his imprint, and she knew all about imprinting due to her being Jacob's best friend.
Honestly, she was sure that Jacob had been there already. But getting the text meant she had to go pick up her daughter. She replied to her daughter stating that she would be there as soon as she could, which would mean to Nessie that she’d be there in just a few minutes. She quickly ran to the garage, and entered her vehicle. With Vampire speed, it hadn’t taken but a minute or two to get from one side of the house to her vehicle. Luckily it was cloudy out so she wouldn’t have to risk what she was—or that of her family. Everyone she had ever known was gone now, and so it was easy to head to the high school. It was hard to drive the normal speed, because like her family she enjoyed being fast. It was an exhilerating type of feeling, one she had never forgot.
Entering the parking lot, she saw her daughter and pulled up next to her. That way her daughter wouldn’t have to walk across the parking lot. Smiling she rolled down the window, on the passenger side. “Hey sweetheart, I came as soon as I got your message. Come on, let’s go home. Or we could go do something, your choice.” She told her daughter as her eyes were a golden color, meaning she didn’t have to worry about feeding any time soon. She didn’t want to ask about Jacob because she knew that would probably lead to an arguement.
