Leah Samantha Clearwater padded through the forest, her light grey ears flicking back and forth, listening. The light grey wolf grinned a wolfish grin as she spotted a rabbit scurry away. Leah hadn't been out in the woods for a long time; She had been busy, helping Jake. Slipping through the bushes silently, Leah burst into a run, racing after her target: A large dark brown rabbit. She hadn't been hunting for a good 2 weeks, thanks to Seth, who seemed to be always out in the woods. She had wondered why her brother was out here all the time. He always said he was hunting, but Leah had a feeling he wasn't just hunting. ' There's no other wolves in this area, so he couldn't have imprinted, unless she is a human and they've been meeting here secretly....' A sharp snarl erupted as Leah dodged a large tree trunk, that she would have run into if she hadn't dodged it. 'Leah! Pay attention!!' Giving her head a good shake, Leah raced after the dark brown rabbit.
As Leah drew nearer and nearer, the 19 year old leaped into the air, lannding on the rabbit and biting down on it's furry neck. The rabbit let out a squeal, kicked once then twice before laying dead. The light grey wolf smirked before digging into it's furry body. She hadn't noticed if anyone was watching her.... She was the only thing around.... or was she?

Lucas was in the la Push forest and he was walking through it but this time was different. He was in his wolf form. The greyish brown wolf was squatting down uprooting leaves and swatting at them. He would make a friendly noise to indicate he was having a good time. He then raised his paw itching his nose and he rolled over and scratched his back on the ground making happy noises. Then he got back on his feet and started walking forwards. He heard different sounds that came from other animals surrounded him. He was used to that and did not surprise him at all. He then put his nose to the ground to see if he could pick up a scent. He wanted to make sure nobody that could cause a threat was out in the woods. It was especially if they were a vampire or a human hunter looking for their next dinner. Lucas thought” At least the humans take more for dinners and stuff when they kill instead of just killing for their blood like the vampires do.”
Then Lucas came across a light grey wolf. Lucas did not know how to approach it. He was pretty sure that no one in his pack was a light grey. He doubted that they were out in the woods also. He bent down in a defensive stance and he growled a little bit. His thoughts were about “ who could this be.” He remembered from the chat with that pale faced vampire that he encountered that one day that there was another pack. Lucas then barked at the stranger wolf. He backed up and went into his defensive stance.

Leah nearly broke her jaw as she jerked her head up, hearing a bark. The light grey wolf whipped around, snarling as she came face to face with a greyish brown wolf. She knew for a fact there was no one in Jake's or Sam's pack, that was this color. She snarled again, her light green eyes studing the wolf. He was in a defensive stance, so in return, she did the same. She growled again, holding her ground. She may not have been the alpha but she was loyal to her pack, and she wasn't about to back down from some random wolf.
An unfamiliar smell filled her nose as she watched the wolf. She tilted her head trying to think. 'Could he be...' Leah relaxed slightly, studying him. She always felt better in her wolf form, but if he attacked her, Leah knew she couldn't defend herself. Taking a deep breath, Leah relaxed her posture and closed her eyes, shifting. She opened her eyes again before standing up. She looked down at the wolf before speaking up.
"I'm a friend..."

Lucas had barked at the light greyish wolf and he saw it snapped up and he thought its jaw would snap. Lucas saw the wolf whip right around and it looked like she was chasing her tail but Lucas had the idea that she was just wanting to see what wolf that bark came from. Lucas had a good idea that the wolf was not one from his pack. So it had to belong to one of the ones from the other pack. Finally he would be able to meet another wolf other than his family. He heard a snarled being returned to Lucas’s way. He figured he had done it one or two times and it was a sign of not knowing what or who the other wolf was. He saw that she was in a defensive stance just as he was. It seemed that she was mimicking what he was doing. He thought” Either she is being safe and standing her ground or she is just doing what i do to see how i would react.” Then she growled once again. He then saw she tilted her head and he growled at the strange action. Then she shifted and she had her eyes closed. She then opened them and stood up. She spoke to him. Then she said she was a friend. Against his better judgement Lucas closed his eyes and shifted also.
Lucas stood up and said”I am Lucas and I am your friend. I do not tend to be any threat to you.”[/b] He took a deep breath tapped his fingers on his leg and said” I was just going for a run. I live in the mountains. I am from the Jackson pack.”[/b] He then extended his hand as an act of friendliness and hoped that she would accept it and return the favour. She looked like a Native American and wondered if she had one of them names like running with water or something like that. He would not ask of course because he did not want to be rude or anything. He then ran his hand through his hair because he was nervous.

Leah took a small step back to study the now boy in front of her. She listened as the boy introduced himself as Lucas and spoke about another pack. Leah had known about a another pack, but she never thought she would meet one of them. Why not, Leah was unsure. The 19 year old took Luke's hand, shaking it before speaking up.
"Leah Clearwater..." Her normally sharp voice had a soft edge to it. She listened as he spoke about what he was doing on their land. "I'm of the Black's pack... Jacob Black...I've never heard of the Jackson Pack, although if you live in the mountains, it would make sense.." Leah spoke, keeping her eyes on the boy. She didn't trust him, although who would trust someone who they just met. She noticed he seemed nervous, which she understood. She relaxed her posture, slightly, not letting her guard down quite yet.

Lucas was studying the girl's body movements to see if she would or could be a threat to him.Lucas told her his name and what his family was called. Then the friendly gesture such as shaking the hand of the other person happened and that made Lucas happy a little bit. He was still a little bit wary of her.Who would not be wayry of a stranger that they just met.Then she gave him her name and he nodded his head.He ran his fingers throught his hair as Leah spoke about what pack she was from.
Lucas had felt something at that moment that he could not explain and it had to do with this girl. It had to do with Leah Clearwater. Maybe it was the way she handled herself or the way she looked. Lucas said"[b[ Well leahif it is any consolation I have only heard of your pack by word of mouth. I met this one vampire carlisle cullen. He mentioned that there was a pack that lived in la Push and that I needed to be careful.You have something about you that i can not keep my eyes off of you.The mountains are a good place. That is if people can keep from killing the animals . I have a feeling it is the vampires.I am 19 and I am one of 9 in my family."[/b] he was usually not this straightforward when it came to talking to girls.
Lucas cleared his throat and tapped his fingers on his leg before asking" Were you out for a run. i feel that is what is good for the b ody. Also to get away from the family for a little bit."

Leah relaxed slightly, hearing Luke speak about Carlisle. Although, she had an open dislike to vampires, Carlisle was almost like a father figure. Leah respected him, although she never really knew him. "Actually, Lucas, there are two... Sam Uley and Jacob Black... You might want to stay away from Sam... He's, well.." Leah tried to think of a way to describe her ex-boyfriend, before shaking her head as memories, that she wanted to forget arose," Anyways..." Leah listened as Luke spoke about being drawn to her. Her stomach almost fluttered at that. She bit her lip, wondering what it meant. "Wow, big family... Would you mind telling me about them?" Leah asked, her voice now soft. She didn't understand why she was feeling the way she did.
Leah chuckles, a light almost fluttery sound that was not often heard from the 19 year old,"More hunting, my little brother had been doing most of the hunting lately, not that he brought any of the kills home... Yeah, I've been pretty busy and wanted to make sure I was still the fastest in the packs...." Leah felt a smile cross her face slightly.

As Lucas was waiting for a answer from Leah he was feeling like there was something
about her that he could not explain. It was like he was being drawn in to her
presence. Surely it could not be something like a attraction . he had just met her
and they were co plete strangers. Whatever it was he was liking it.He had spoke about
Carlisle and he had a feeling that it might not go over too well. He was ready to
defend his statement with whatever came to mind but nothing about it came out of her
mouth.What did come out of her mouth was that there were actually two other packs in
the area. Luc as's curiousity was rising to its peak. Lucas asked"So what are
thwey like? i mean are they friendly or are they hard to talk to?Could you try and
make a arranged meeting?"
Lucas smiled at her because that strange attraction came to his mind. Lucas
asked" Have you ever had a feeling that could be explained as a strange feeling
for a total stranger? Usually i have not believed in it but I think there is always a
possibility that it is likely to happen." Lucs had mentioned how big his family
was and he heared Leah's comment and question about it. Lucas said"{b] Well like all
families there are different personalities. Some can be jokers. Some casn be laid back and helpess romantics towards other people. They all could be overprotective towards siblings and would die protecting the other siblings. it would be a long time explaining everything about all of them."[/b] Lucas stood quiet listening to leah talk about what she had been doing . Lucas nodded his head before saying"I hunt a lot and then I usually race with my siblings. I am one of the faster siblings. There is about one or two that can come close to me.Brothers and sisters can be quite the pain can't they but het they are family and that is what is supposed to happen> Am right in that statement?"

Leah's stomach twisted slightly as she studied Luke. Being complete strangers, it was interesting to talk about family. Hearing Luke's curious behavior to the two packs, Leah replied," Jake is pretty laid-back.... He's very protective over his pack, but he's a good leader. Sam... well, he's a different story... He's very protective over his pack and is a bit hot-headed at times..." A small smirk played on Leah's face. 'Like most boys...' she wanted to add, but decided against."Although I do warn you, stay away from Sam's pack... If he found out there was another pack, meaning you and your family, he will want war... Trust me... I could try and arrange a meeting between your family and Jake..." Leah shifted her weight from foot to foot. She resisted the urge to look around before listening as Luke spoke about this feeling. The 19 year old nodded,"Yeah, I do..." Leah flashed a small smile to Luke. Although she would never say it out loud, she felt calm and almost happy. It felt like the old Leah was coming back: The one before Sam broke her heart. Leah felt her guard come back up. Leah nodded as Luke spoke about his siblings. Leah let out a low chuckle, nodding; She understood completely. Leah grinned as Luke spoke about siblings being a pain and nodding,"Yes, They can be... I have a younger brother, but my pack is almost like my family, after my parents passed away..." Leah bit her lip as she thought about her family. She looked down at her feet and forced herself not to cry.

Lucas listened to Leah speak about jacob and Sam which were the leaders of the other packs. He understood where they came from when it came to their respective packs. Although the one thats was supposedlyh hot headed Lucas felt that he was kind of like the one that Leah called jacob.Lucas said" Yeah all leaders could be a bit protective and a little bit hot headed. When it comes to my pack or family however people call it I would die for my family's safety. Thanks for the warning about Sam's pack."Lucas felt a strange invisible forc e xrawing him closer to leah by the minute. He could not explain it but there was something there.Lucas asked" So he is very terroitorial? There are people like that and that just makes you a type of person that people will not like to be around."
Lucas took a breath, looked around and then said" I would like that very much. We are just here to have a peaceful time around here. We do not want to cause trouble even if we do have hot heads among us.So is this the first time meeting someone from my family. This is the first time meeting any other pack around hwere.Yeah I know the feeling about parents passing away . I would rather not talk about that topic as I think you feel the same way"

Leah nodded," No problem..." The 19 year old shifted her weight slightly, crossing her arms over her chest. She let her eyes take a quick glance around before replying "Both Jake and Sam are very terroitorial, but that is expected of them... Jake has very protective over his pack and other family..." Leah was unsure what the Cullens would be classified as: Close family, extended family, Step family? Leah was unsure at that point, but just shoved it aside
Leah nodded," I'm sure Jake would like to learn and know more about your family... We, like your family, do not want any trouble as well...." Leah nodded sharply, agreeing with Luke about dropping the whole parent conversation. They just met, why should they be telling each other personal stuff, as much as Leah had the urge to spill her entire life story.
