The vegetarian vampire smiled brightly. The vampire was back in familiar territory, she couldn’t have believed her eyes that fifty years had passed since they were in the familiar woods of Forks. The vegetarian was keeping her eyes peeled, ever since they returned to the house they all had loved fiercely—things were getting better. They were back to filling in a role that they had been comfortable in filling fifty years ago. Although alot had changed—for one thing her brother Edward the one she had been closest to had gotten married and had been the first to have a child with the love of his life and her best friend Bella. Nessie, as everyone had called her had been a beautiful child, with certain gifts of her own. Although it had been quite a surprise to everyone when Jacob Black—a Quileute wolf had imprinted on Nessie, which had caused quite a stir in their family. Bella had been very angry about it but over time the entire family realized that they couldn’t change it and had tolerated the wolf’s appearance in their lives. She had to learn to accept that Jacob would forever be a part of their lives since she could barely tolerate the stench that came with him. He would smell like a wet dog, a scent that lingered with him. But he and his pack proved to be quite useful when Renesmee’s life had been in danger and they felt the need to protect themselves. Of course luckily they were able to talk their way out of such events by her showing the Volturi exactly what they needed to see. With Jacob around he had been able to help shield Renesmee so that the Volturi couldn’t get near her while they talked things out—and for that she would always be grateful. Being back in this area she couldn’t help but smile. She was wondering where everyone was, and that was when she had smelt the unattractive stench of the wolf. And having been around him for as many years as she had she had known that it was none other than Jacob Black. Although Jacob, his packmates nor their imprintees seemed to age a day which meant without a doubt that even the Volturi were watching from afar even if they hadn’t made their appearance known once again. Taking a deep breath she didn’t know what to expect. Having left the house she walked out into the woods—which she knew were vast and were well equipped for their hunting grounds. She had fed recently so she was prepred to handle whatever was about to happen. The vegetrian’s golden eyes looked around the woods in which she was now standing. She was watching the surrounding area. She continued walking into the woods, the surroundings were as green as usual. “Show yourself, Jacob. I know you’re here.” But the real question was what was Jacob doing, since he was by himself and Nessie was no where around. (Sorry it's not the best post I tried. I'll get better. My first posts usually aren't that great... )

Jake was worried. Period. Ever since his talk with Leah and Renesmee, Jake was on the edge. His tail would not stop twitching and he flinched at every sound. He needed something to do, so he decided to hunt. but not just any prey. He was silently following Alice Cullen. He needed to keep his mind off what Leah had told him.
As much as the 17 year old kept his eyes focused, his mind contiuned to wonder. 'They're like us, Jake.... Shapeshifters....' The 17 year old resisted the urge to look around. After Leah had told him about seeing other wolves... Other shape-shifters, Jake was tense. He was worried for his pack, his vampire family, Renesmee. He growled lightly, thinking about his Renesmee being in trouble.
“Show yourself, Jacob. I know you’re here.” Jake's dark brown head jerked upright as he heard Alice pipe up. He growled before patting forward towards the veggie vampire. With a shudder, Jake shifted back into a human.
" Hey Alice, Sorry about that..."

The vampire was worried, not only because there was a chance the Volturi could come back at any moment but honestly she feared for their lives, even Jake’s as she had to think of her niece too who had needed Jake just as much as Jake had needed her. The pixie like vampire kept her eyes on where she smelled the wolf from. It wasn’t the first time one of the wolves had hunted the vampires—but she had accepted it. Although why any wolf would need to hunt them—the Cullens posed no threat to anyone—herself especially.
Jacob was after all her nephew by extension due to his deep connection to her niece which she couldn’t say she liked but had appreciated the fact he had been willing to die to protect her when the Volturi had come the last time. The vampire kept her gait the same as it had been prior to sensing something or someone was close but if it was a shifter she couldn’t see them coming so she had to rely on her other senses. She stayed put when he phased back into his human form.
“It’s okay. Were you uh—were you following me? I had this feeling I was being watched but—you know if one of you shifters are involved I can’t see anything....” She explained lightly while looking at him. The stench she could deal with after all he’d been around her family for many years. But she still held her belief that some werewolves were not good company to keep. But she had accepted that there were a few she could tolerate, Jake and his immediate pack especially.
"Is there something you wanted to talk about? Because no offense but you normally don't really seek one of us out unless there's a reason." The vampire said as she did not want to start an argue but she couldn't help but be curious as normally shifters and vampires were not ones to get along but--with Nessie they had to work together first and foremost.

Jake shook his head, trying to clear it before smiling lightly at Alice. Picking himself off the ground, Jake rose to his full-height. Leah's voice continued to echo through his head. Dusting himself off, He listened as Alice spoke.
" No... well... I needed something to do, I have a lot on my mind..." Jake shrugged his shoulders. A cool breeze slipped through the trees, causing the air to cool slightly. Jake flinched as a twig snapped in the breeze. He growled mentally at himself for being so edgy.
" Actually, I just needed to do something after what Leah told me...." Jake shrugged as if it was no big deal, but it was a big deal. There were wolves... shifters in the area, and he had to protect his family, no matter what.

It was alright to see him there. She knew he had some things to think about. So did she, and she was sure all of it would unravel in time. She hadn’t had a reliable vision in a while which made her somewhat nervous. Especially since the Volturi hadn’t come after them in a while which meant they were planning something—the question was what they were up to. Anything was possible.
The voices of the others flowed through her mind as she realized that some things would never be the same. It’s echo was overlapping and she wasn’t sure what voice belonged to whom anymore. Snapping out of her thoughts the vampire glanced over to the Shifter, who had imprinted on her niece.
“You’re not the only one. I’ve got a lot of things on my mind too.” She responded while looking at the shifter in front of her. Instincts were telling her that something wasn’t right. He seemed somewhat on edge though in her mind they all were with what they were facing. She knew he was trying to shrug it off but something told her he couldn’t do that forever. “What exactly did Leah tell you? Does it have to do with the other shifters? Is—is something the matter?” She couldn’t help but ask.
Having Sam’s pack and Jake’s was enough shifters in the area...on top of her family—there were enough chances of an arguement between the three groups. “You know I think you need to relax....a little bit. But I guess you don’t want to hear that from me. You never were one to take my advice. But being on edge isn’t going to help matters Jacob when we’ve got enough problems going on right now.” She replied softly, knowing that anything was possible at this particular moment in time. The Golden eyed vampire kept watching him.
Instinctively she thought of her family. Of what they were feeling. She worried about their safety but she hoped her visions would continue to be of use. It wasn't enough to think of other vampires in the area. Especially the carnivourous ones, since they did have to deal with them from time to time.

Jake could feel his eyebrows moving up as Alice spoke. When she finished, Jake nodded.
"According to Leah, There are other shifter in the area.. Much like us... All I know is there have been 4 sighted in the area, but they're like ghosts..." The nervous 17 year old ran a russet hand through his hair before looking around. He took a deep breath, before listening as Alice talked about relaxing.
He nodded," I know, I've been trying to calm down... Leah was pretty shaken too, so that didn't help at all." Jake contiuned, keeping his breathing calm and collected. He hated when he got worried, even around family. He was suppose to be their protecter, not a worried little wolf. He was the leader. With that though, Jake stood a little taller and met Alice eye-to-eye. He knew Alice couldn't see shifters, that was the downside.

The one downside of her visions was not being able to see the wolves—or halfbreeds. But she couldn’t help that—she’d always had visions even as a human, or so she’d found out. Normally the visions helped but not in cases like this one. “Great, so we need to find out if they’re willing to work with us or if they’re against us. I’ll have to tell Carlisle. Because the last thing we need is another war like what we faced years ago..and you and I both know how that turned out. I saw what would have happened had the Volturi not seen reason. And if—if things go bad we may be dealing with them sooner than we would have liked.” She responded as she didn’t trust wolves, especially ones that she didn’t know very well.
“No, it doesn’t. You’ve got to relax and get your pack to relax as well. Do Sam and the others know about this? Because if they don’t...I think it is for all of our best interests that both packs and our family have the same information.” Protecting came necessarily easy for her and she did not want anything to risk their lives again. Jake was not the worst of the shifters she’d dealt with—actually he was more levelheaded now than he had been when she had met him a few years before Renesmee was born. Before Edward and Bella were engaged.
Hesitantly she thought of something else while she began to think of her niece. Perhaps it was a bad thing to address this but she felt the need to. And she was never one to turn her back on her instincts. Especially after the conversation she’d had with Nessie the other day. Nessie had been very angry and so she hoped maybe she could get Jake to talk to her. “And also—I think you need to find some time to talk to Nessie. I think she’s been feeling left out recently—because I can see it. I’m her aunt. I don’t need to see a vision to know when she’s upset about something. Don’t get mad at me—because normally I wouldn’t intervene but I think she needs you. More now than ever. I think she’s scared she’s losing you because of how much time you’ve been spending with Leah and your pack. Or that perhaps you don’t care for her—but I’m just I’m worried about her and I know you are too. That’s why I’m telling you this, Jacob. Not to get you angry but to try and help.” She said knowing that it might create a rift between the two of them.

Jake nodded in agreement, He knew Alice was right. He had to talk to Sam. Ever since he had come back from the meetings with the leaders, the 17 year old hadn't seen the other pack leader. " I haven't seen Sam since the meeting of the leaders, nor have I talked to the rest of the pack, but I was heading in that direction anyways... Although I'm sure Sam would want war, even if the other shifters were willing to cooperate with us." Jake nodded again, as he listened to Alice speak of telling Carlisle. He knew the older vampire would be able to help them out greatly if they would have to wage war. And Jake was not willing to lose anyone in his family.
Jake nodded. He let his mind go blank, letting him think for the first time since he had talked to Leah. He He knew Alice was good but she had helped him greatly, which was what he needed right now. He mentally smirked at that. ' Never thought I would say those words....'
Jake nodded again with a sigh. " I know Alice, I've been neglecting her.. And I've tried to make time... I talked to her before Leah told me and she seemed alright, but I could tell somethings up... I also talked to her when I came back from the leader's meeting and she had said she wasn't feeling well... She said it was just a bug and it would pass but still...I understand she's upset because I've been spending a lot of time with the pack and I'm truly sorry about it, but there is nothing I can do..." He knew he hadn't been talking to Nessie as much as he should have. He knew Nessie was protective over him and was upset because of all the time he had been spending with Leah and the pack, but he couldn't be in two places at once. He cared about Nessie more then he could take, and his pack needed him. He had to also talk to Seth and Leah, asking them if they could take on some more work, just so he could have some time with Nessie. ' And you couldn't have thought of that earlier! Before you got yourself so deep into this mess...' Alice was only looking out for her, and he was glad she did. He had to find her and apologize for not being there for her. It was uncool to neglect her and he couldn't feel worst. He grinned lightly at Alice.
Thanks Alice, I needed that.." He knew she was probably thinking he had lost his mind but he was happy he had talked to someone.

The idea of a war brought her mind back to when they had that near miss with the Volturi and it was one thing she hoped she wouldn't have to see a repeat of. “No, I know, he’d want war but I’m hoping that...that is something...that we can hopefully avoid. If it comes to that, if the other shifters are friendly then what do we do exactly? Because we can’t exactly challenge him not without breaking the treaty that has been in place since before you were even born, as you very well know.” She answered softly as she watched him specifically.
Both the packs and her family had to be prepared for the inevitable because there was a time where they had to work together to protect themselves against a common goal. “Well I told her that you were going to be working a lot when I spoke to her, until things calm down as my visions have been accurate thus far, and while I can’t see what’s going on with the pack, I can see what’s going on with the vampires...and I know there’s been movement up north from where we live. Nothing too bothersome, yet...although I’ve been waiting to see if something develops.” She sighed softly as she watched him for a moment before continuing.
“Well she has been feeling a little off lately, she snapped at me when I asked her even the most basic of questions. I can’t help but worry about her. You know that. She’s family....and you above all else know what lengths I’ll do to protect my family. I can understand your point of it too which is why I told her that you’re working with Leah....not that you’re trying to avoid her or to make her feel like she isn’t important because we both know how you feel about her—you’ve made it obvious over the years. You just can’t strain yourself...by working too hard. I know you’re a pack leader and all—that you have more responsibilities now than you have had before but you can’t neglect yourself or the one you love simply due to that. And it wouldn’t hurt to get some help every now and then... as I think Leah and Seth are both trustworthy enough to depend on should you need help.” She said it though she hoped she wasn’t overstepping her boundaries. She was just worried about him and about Nessie too. Which that was her job as an aunt.
She reciprocated the grin when he gave her one, and it made her happy. For once they were actually on the same page which was a good thing. But what he said next she never thought she would actually hear him say. “Thanks.” That word coming out of his mouth directed at her—was quite a surprise but she was happy about it. It meant he wasn’t angry and that was what was important. “You’re welcome. You know I may be a blood sucker as you once called me but you can always come to me if you need someone to talk to.” She offered as this was personal—this was family and that was why she was willing to do it.

" I know, I still have to figure that out... Sam won't listen to any of us, without wanting to start a war..." Jake growled lightly, thinking about how stubborn Sam could be. With his luck, Sam would act the same way like he did when he found out that Bella was pregnant with Renesmee. He winced before shaking his head.
As he listened to Alice, Jake felt worse and worse. Nessie, snapping at her family.... That was not right. He growled at himself, unhappy with this. As Alice made the giving Leah and Seth more to handle, Jake had to chuckle.
" You sure you can't read minds?" The 17 year old joked lightly, before nodding in agreement, " I understand, Alice...
Jake chuckled lightly at Alice's somewhat surprised expression before nodding." Thanks Alice, I'll remember that..." He grinned lightly at the vampire.

She knew well enough that Sam would want a war if he could help it. He had always in her eyes been restless...and he wouldn’t listen to anyone—not even to his own wife for what she had gathered from Bella. Smiling softly she knew that Jacob was frustrated because of how stubborn Sam could be as well as the others. Knowing how Sam was, and how history had shown him to be he would most likely be the same way—wanting to fight first and ask questions later just like he had when Bella was pregnant with Nessie. That had almost been a disaster.
“I know which is precisely why we have to do everything we can to keep him from doing it. It was hard last time—when we were trying to keep him from starting a war with us when Bella was pregnant with Nessie. We both know how he acted back then...and I doubt he’s changed all that much. Although I’ve avoided dealing with him—given how he can’t stand those like myself even if we do have a treaty with one another.” She explained while looking at Jacob and then knew that she probably ought not to have mentioned how Nessie had snapped at her but she figured it wouldn’t hurt much. She chuckled lightly at the reading minds comment.
“I'm positive. That's Edward's gift, but I do know you. And I know that Leah’s your Beta, your second in command and I know you trust Seth just as much, which is why I think it ought to be done. Even if you don’t want to do it but I think that way they can have more responsibility within the pack and also you can get out a little bit. So you don’t piss my niece off. As she does have her father’s temper and that’s dangerous enough by itself.”
She grinned when he said that he understood. Quite a shock really but it made a little bit of sense. “You’re welcome.” She explained to the shifter. He still smelled like a wet dog even though he clearly wasn’t wet, but that was besides the point. She couldn’t forget that smell or avoid it even if she wanted to. She’d just learned to tolerate it after all these years.

Jake nodded as he listened to Alice. It was almost like she prepared for anything. As he listened, He began making plans on how he was going to alert the elders and Sam. Jake did NOT, He repeats, DID NOT want another fight now, questions later.
Jake grinned as Alice chuckled. He hadn't seen much of a laugh from any of the vampires. It was interesting. The 17 year old nodded sharply as Alice spoke, showing her he understood. With a light grin, Jake nodded.
Jake grinned lightly. When he had first met the vampires, He never would have thought he would be so close to them. Like maybe a nod or a pass by in the forest now and again, but being imprinted to their niece, who was a half blood, wasn't part of his plan.

Having been a vampire for as long as she had been—she had learned to be prepared under any circumstance. She took a better safe than sorry approach to things. Especially when such things had to do with the protection of her family. Smiling as she looked at the shifter she could tell that he was lost in thoughts, and for a moment she was happy for a moment of silence.
The vampire had been so busy that even to take a moment to rest had been unusual. She was trying the best she could not to let the things that were happening weigh heavily on her mind but sometimes she couldn’t help it. She knew better than anyone not to take anything for granted.
Because one never knew if things would be the way they were—or if they would have another day to live. Although it took a lot to kill a vampire like her, there were ways of going about it—especially ripping one’s head off. Which is precisely why she was grateful for every day that she had—and the family to which she had always belonged to. Personally she did not want to fight again—and if they could avoid it—it would be better for everyone involved.
She was happy, happier than she had been, in a while which was precisely why she was comfortable laughing again. Never in a thousand years did she think that she would be here in this moment—to be so close to a shifter after all they were natural enemies, as history had dictated for as long as she could remember and even before that. However the circumstances here were a bit unique considering the fact that Jacob had imprinted on Nessie. And whether they liked it or not they had to respect that because nothing would change it. She couldn’t help but be worried about Jasper and the others given the state of things but she figured she would have seen soemething by now if one of them were hurt.
Her husband and their family—Jacob included were the most imortant people in her life and she did not want to see them in harm’s way. Not if she could help it. She may not be the best fighter in the family but that did not mean she wouldn’t put up a good fight if it came down to it. Taking a breath she looked at Jacob, knowing anything was possible. "So--what's new with you? Because we both know your whole life isn't just about the pack." She teased, she was trying to keep things civil, which they had been doing well at thus far.
