Master Aro had sent a letter to Jasper Cullen about wanting him to help out with the Ball. Aro needed Jasper’s ability to calm the emotions around him to make sure nothing goes wrong. Jane found herself at an area around Forks. She did not like it that her mission brought her back to Forks but she never did question anything that Master Aro told her to do. So she looked around and she was in the forest. She thought” Good there are no humans around. They judge me and treat me like a child. That is one thing I hate about this. I will always look like a kid.” Jane looked around and saw animals galloping away from her. She smirked as she thought” They know who is boss. They do not want to die” Jane then caught a scent of vampires around her. Jane thought” Oh I am not alone. Who dares to disturb a great and Mighty Volturi guard?” Jane looked around and saw no other vampires. She followed the scent and as she walked closer the scent got stronger.
She then saw the vampires that she detected. Jane thought” Oh great it is them” Jane stopped as she saw two of the Cullen’s One of them was the one that she came to talk to and that was Jasper Cullen. The other one was the guy’s mate Alice Cullen. Jane stopped and waved her hand alongside the robe knocking it back behind her. She had a stern looking expression on her face . Jane said” Jasper I have come to talk to you.”

To be quite honest, it was refreshing to be back in Forks. It felt like home. She had no idea what she and her family could expect, given the last time they were in fact here in town. She did not like finding out that Aro had wanted her husband to become an official guard for one night, no matter what the situation revolved around. The woods were friendly toward her family, they had set up their household again here in the same house they had been in before. She loved it, and loved to go shopping with her mother and sisters. She was just grateful that her husband would accompany them.
Only a couple nights ago had she found out about what it was that Jasper was attempting to hide from her. What it was that Aro had wanted him to do. And it wasn’t something she liked. Standing in the forest with Jasper by her side, they had just finished a discussion regarding the very thing that she knew upon seeing Jane that she had come here for. Mostly because Jane wouldn’t dare come here unless it was for an important task, like one Aro had sent her on. Of course she still didn’t trust the vampire in question but that was all in the past. She was spending her time with Jasper without there being an interruption when suddenly Jane Volturi appeared, determined to speak with Jasper. She was not going to leave her husband’s side not without probable cause. She loved her husband and she needed to know that he was safe. And she didn’t trust Jane at all. She smiled as she looked to Jasper. "It's okay, Jazz. I'm not going anywhere. You don't have to worry." She said honestly as she ignored Jane's presence as she wasn't going to address the vampire in front of her.

Jasper was still feeling very troubled about what answer to give Aro, Carlisle and him had discussed the matter in detail last night, there seemed under the circumstances only one real answer they could give and even though it was something Jasper did not want to be apart of he knew he had to say yes. If he said yes for this one night and this one time only, then it would show Aro that the Cullens were still willing to cooperate with them as Carlisle had pointed out and they needed to show that they were no further threat. There was a chance that Aro was going to use this and twist it to get to Alice, Bella and Edward which were the only members of the family he wanted to recruit, but it was a risk they were going to have to take for the moment Aro really had them all wrapped around his pinky finger at the moment. Alice and him had discussed the matter, he knew the decision was his to make and he knew the risk involved, but the one he was going to give to the Volturi was the best one for the family at the moment.
Jasper had been thinking about how to respond to the letter what exactly he would write in return, he had not thought for a second that Aro would send someone to collect his response in person unless there was more to this then met the eye. As he Jane approached Jasper wrapped an arm protectively around Alice's waist, he could already feel Jane's resentment towards his wife he also wanted Alice close to him because after learning Alice's vision he was slightly more afraid of her since ultimately she was the one would have caused his death, by having Alice close to him it was difficult to be afraid. Just as Jasper expected Jane's first words were that she had come to talk to him, he did not know whether she would mind Alice in the conversation as well, but his wife had no intention of leaving him which she made clear. "Hello Jane, What is it that you want to talk about?" There was all be it a very small chance that she had come to talk about something else and just in case it was not something to do with the letter he thought he should keep the question open, as he spoke instinctively in the presence of possible danger he tightened the grip he had around Alice's waist.

With the Volturi's best interest in mind Jane knew that she had to be somewhat civil and she could not use her power on jasper or Alice. Out of all the Cullen's Alice was one of them that Jane wanted to use her power on and not let up./ She was the one that had a hand in preventing the fight that one day. Never it mind that she prevented a massacre of the Volturi jane just did not like it at all. Jane heard jasper's response and she knew that Jasper had grown up to be a Southern gentleman and that would be tested very much. Jane said" Master Aro sent me here to retrieve a answer to the letter he sent to you and your coven. Master Aro knows y our views on this matter and waits for your answer. It would not be wise to keep him waiting. As much it would please me to make you bend down in pain I know master Aro would not be pleased with me. The answer is a simple yes or no. It is not like we are making you be one of us forever. Master Aro knows how you feel about that.”
Jane stood there waiting impatiently for a answer from jasper. The so called Southern Gentleman had a important decision to make. Jane saw a scared little Alice clutching jasper’s arm and jane knew that it was because of jane and how she must intimidate Alice. It made jane happy to know she could still make people scared.

She knew that everything was going to happen with or without her being able to give her husband the support he needed. She would be by his side irregardless, but she didn’t have to like the fact that he was willing to do this. Yes, Carlisle had a point, that they had to keep the peace but that was besides the point. This was something that was supposed to be a fun event—not one designed to make them work. She was going to at least attempt to be civil in a case like this as Carlisle would want her to. Like it or not, she respected her father in that regard. There was a risk, and that was, even if they could prove they were in no way a threat to the Volturi, it wouldn’t stop them from trying to fix the situation so that they’d have no other choice but to join the Volturi permanently, which is what Aro had hoped that she, Edward and Bella would find themselves doing. Whether he got Jasper or not, that was besides the point. It was risky that Aro could use this as a method to get the ones he wanted, and if that were the case, he’d have to have a fight on his hands, as there was no way she would join him willingly. Nor would the members of her family. It was a risk they were going to have to take as she was going to make sure nothing happened. They had discussed this situation until they could not discuss it anymore. They had gone to Carlisle hoping he’d be able to help them but the only thing Carlisle had been able to say was to give them what they wanted in this case, which was Jasper for the night. Of course, it was only because they needed to keep the peace. She would not leave his side, throughout the event, something Aro would have to understand.
She knew that Jasper had been thinking about how to reply to the letter without sounding threatening. But it never dawned on her until moments before Jane arrived that he was planning on sending one of his minions there instead of expecting a written letter to confirm his intent, which was to do what he was asked. She wasn’t afraid of Jane, despite the fact that Jane could cause a lot of damage in a short amount of time, but as she felt her husband wrap his arm protectively around her waist, she was keeping her eyes focused on Jane for the moment. She knew that just by being with Jasper it was giving him the comfort that he needed, that they both needed. As patient as the vampire could be she watched her husband talk to Jane, in teh most civilized manner that one would expect. However, she didn’t know if Jane would threaten her simply because the two didn’t see eye to eye. And the fact that her vision had been the one thing that had stopped Jane as well as the rest of the Volturi from fighting. Yet she could now feel Jasper tightening his grip around her waist.
She hadn’t been stupid—as she knew that Jane wanted to use that gift of hers....on not just Jasper but on herself too. Mostly because it was her fault that the battle did not take place the way that Jane probably hoped for. After all she had saved not only her father, Carlisle, but also her husband Jasper, in the war, as well as saved plenty of the Volturi who would have died in the massacre as well. It was not something she liked to have done, for the record she would have been pleased with Jane and Aro getting their just rewards but, for the sake of the future as they knew it to be—she had to stop them all. She wasn’t scared of what Jane could do, as she had witnessed it herself with what Jane had done to Edward. It would be more of a threat if she hadn’t known what Jane’s gift was. She was going to let her husband speak to Jane, and not interrupt him as any wife would. Jane was just a child—at least that was what her appearance showed and that wasn’t intimidating although she pretended that it was. After all it was better to keep the peace than to disrupt it.

Jasper listend as Jane spoke nodding slowly, he resist the urge to smirk when she spoke about wanting to hurt them she would not dare hurt Alice without encourage the wrath of Aro and since currently for some odd reason Aro was interested in him it meant they were both safe for now. He listened as she clarified that he was not signing up for the Volturi permanently and he was glad they understood that, they did not have a hope in hell in getting him to sign up unless he did unknowingly. It was no surprise to Jasper that Jane was quick and to the point he doubted that she wanted to be here, they were not massive fans of hers and Jasper could sense her resentment towards them, but she and always hated them even before their face of with the Volturi, she just did not seem to be a fan of their vegetarian ways she was entitled to her own opinion, but Jasper did wish she was not here and Aro could have waited for a letter.
Choosing his words carefully Jasper responded "I'm sure you can understand Jane that this is a difficult decision for me to make" Out of all the response he had come up with this seemed the most proper, but also professional since they were trying to make peace with the Volturi it seemed fair that he was respectful to Aro and in turn Jane even if she thought so little of them "Is that the only reason you came all this way Jane? I hope I have not been an inconvenience to you or the Volturi" Aro seemed a little too eager to get his response, he obviously could not have waited patiently for a letter in response which troubled Jasper a little, but he did not think of it instead he just gently stroked Alice's hip with his thumb, focusing on what Carlisle had told him, keep calm, don ask to many questions and don't give away your doubts and misgiving about helping. This would have been much easier to do if he had been sending a letter, instead of having to speak to Jane in person.

As Jane was standing there looking at jasper and Alica she could realize that Alice was intimidated by jane. Jane loved that fact and said” Alica why do you not say something if anything to me. Is it that you do not want to say something that might tick me off? That would be wise not to do. Jasper it is as simple as this. It is either yes or no. All you got to do say yes and keep the peace or say no and go on your merry own self. That is if Master said that is what you could do. I forget what he said exactly. I know that with your upbringing that you are trying to be as gentlemanly as humanly possible. Last time i saw you were not a human so it would mean that it might affect your behior. Unless you feel that it would not matter one way or another.”[/b Jane smirked at mary and was thinking”[bi] If only this was not for Master Aro what I could do to twist and turn Alice. She would be begging me to stop and she would be at my mercy.”[/i] Jane said” I believe it is the only reason I came. Unless you have something that you wanted to talk about. If you were a inconvient to us you would know it . You know this to be true jasper”

She did not like what was going on but she kept her eyes peeled. One bad move and she would attack, Jasper would know this. He would know how protective she was....especially when it came to a member of her family...in trouble. She did not like what was going on, and didn’t trust the Volturi. Why would she after as many times as they had tried to recruit her? Was she glad that Jane was quick and to the point? Absolutely but she wanted Jane to leave now. However, Jane had issues with them not only because of their choice of diet—their vegetarian lifestyle—but also because she was unhappy that the fight—that nearly occurred years ago hadn’t happened. Jane had wanted to fight, that was easily seen in her face. And the fact was it was her fault—at least that is what Jane would believe—because without her vision—and sharing it with Aro—the fight would have proceeded and alot of lives would be lost—some would be hard to handle—and some well she would like to actually see get their just rewards. She wished that Jane had stayed in Volterra and that Aro would have been kind—smart enough—to just wait on a reply to his letter from Jasper himself.
Decisions, that was what all this was about. Jasper knew exactly how she felt about the issue. She just didn’t wnat her husband to be in more pain, and knew that Aro could be like, when he chose to sink his teeth into something. She was going to be supportive of her husband, even if it was hard for her to do so. The fact that Jasper would even think that he was an inconvenience to anyone, was one thing that she did not believe in, but she kept silent. Because this was not the converastion she needed to be involved in unless Jane involved her in it. It was troubling to believe that Aro could not be patient enough to wait for a written response, but as she felt Jasper stroking her hip, with his thumb, she didn’t feel any better about it. Patience was hard to keep with Jane right there. But they had to do what was best for their family....even if they didn’t necessarily like it.
She glared at Jane at this moment, she was starting to get on her nerves, but she did her best not to let it show. She had to try and be respectful even if the two would never agree on anything, especially their choice of diet. “I choose not to speak because this is Jasper’s decision, it’s not mine to make. I support him, that’s as much as I will say. But it does not mean I am intimidated by you. It just means I respect my husband enough to not get involved when he is trying to have a discussion with someone else. Because this doesn’t involve me. I’m only here to support him, it’s as simple as that.” She explained, keeping her voice calm and light, which was very hard to do with Jane in their presence.
She knew that Jane had it in her to hurt her, and Jasper both, but would not do so without the order of Aro, Marcus or Caius, and that was somewhat soothing. She continued to stand close to her husband and looked at him. Just looking at him, allowed her to focus, and to keep herself from saying or doing something she would later regret. They had always known the way to keep eachother sane, and as long as they were around eachother they were safe, even in Jane’s presence.
“Whatever your decision is Jasper, I support you, just like I always have. Just like I always will.” She felt like she had to say it, her husband needed to hear it. To know that she supported him, even if she didn’t like this situation, which he above anyone else would know.

Jasper let out a growl as Jane threatened Alice and he pulled her back behind him to protect her in case Jane tried anything he did not like her threatening his wife especially whilst he was here and she did not stand a chance of going anywhere near her. "Back of Jane or would you like to go back to your master and tell him I refused to give him an answer as his follower was threatening my wife with no just cause" He almost yelled at her keeping Alice behind him, though if Jane was going to use her powers he doubted his attempts so shield her would work, but in his opinion they were worth the try. In his opinion if Jane was here on Volturi business that did not concern Alice then she had no right to be threatening her the way she was and if he had a chance to speak to Aro then he knew this would come up in the conversation.
As Alice spoke about supporting him no matter what his decision he made calmed him a little, it was really just hearing her voice and reminding himself that Jane had not done anything yet. Jasper had made his decision, with the help of Carlisle they had discussed the matter at length and this had helped Jasper see there was only one thing he could do in this situation and if anything went wrong he knew that he was not going to be left his family would come after him. "My decision is this, for this one night of the ball I will help Aro by using my ability to keep the party upbeat, if I identify any threats then I will alert one of his guards to deal with the situation, one night and one night only" He managed to return to his calmer voice removing all the anger that had come from Jane's attitude towards his wife, he looked directly at Jane as he spoke still keeping Alice behind him shielding her with his body just in case Jane tried anything.

As Jane had threatened Alice she heard a growl come from Jasper and that made Jane smile and say" Aww did i hit a sensitive note jasper. At least I know where the weak point of yours is at.I am backing up and no i would not want to tell master that because of me you had refused his offer." Jane h ad begin to think" Maybe there is some good for them after all. They do protect their loved ones and that is a good thing." jane listened to what Alice spoke about not speaking because it was not her situation. jane spoke" Well that would be a wise decision made Alice. It is a good thing to support someone you love .I would do the same for Alec or Master Aro.I will honor that respect seen and will say that That is a good thing to have."
Then jane heard what Alice said to jasper about supporting him no matter what the decision was. Jane said"Wise decision made jasper and I will make sure master Aro is notified about your decision. Well I think that is all I have to deal with with you. It has been quite a interesting meeting. If you do not have anything else to say I will be on my way."
(unless you two have anything else to say I think this could be done)

The second she was moved behind her husband, the more she rolled her eyes. She didn't like the fact she couldn't defend herself if need be, but she understood why her husband had done so. He was only doing this to protect her. But Jane wasn't very bright either. Because for someone who was supposed to retrieve an answer, and only that, she was antagonizing Jasper into deciding not to do what it was that Aro had asked of him. She hoped it wasn't a mistake.
The woman heard her husband’s growl, but didn’t care. She knew that Jasper was only being protective of her, which meant she had to be careful. She didn’t want to upset her husband far more than he already was. She didn’t care what Jane tried. They were doing a favor for the Volturi, by having Jasper help them out on the night of their ball. It was unsettling to think that Jane couldn’t let go of the past. She knew that he was trying to guard her with his body. Oh how she wished Bella was here so that they could have their shield. It was worth a try to have Jasper in front of her. However she didn’t think it was necessary. Because if Jane really wanted to use her power on her, she would have already used it by now. “Jazz don’t. You’re just giving her something to work with. I can take care of myself. You don’t have to protect me.” She told her husband as she looked at him. Although he was in front of her and all she could see of him is the back of his head.
If anything happened to Jasper she would rip the place apart, tearing everyone apart that she could—before she succomed to whatever end she would find herself in. Aro would know this as he had known how protective each of them had been over the other family members. Although she could tell that Jasper had toned down his anger, it was still apparent in the way he continued to shield her. “It’s going to be alright, Jazz. Trust me.” She whispered to her husband.
As Jane egged her husband on she really just wanted to rip her head off and feed it to the dogs—although what dog would want to eat her was another question entirely. One she didn’t want to know the answer of. When Jane said something that finally made sense to the vampire, she nodded. “Yes it is, which is why—for the sake of what you’re asking of my husband, I would think it wise not to threaten either of us.” She couldn’t think of anything else to say to Jane. She wanted it to be like it was, just her and Jasper alone. It was not that she hated other vampires...quite the opposite but she didn't trust Jane. Who would after everything her family had seen Jane do?

Jasper stifled another growl when she mentioned she had hit a sensitive note and he heard Alice's point about being able to take care of herself and that he did not need to protect her, sometimes as much as he loved Alice he wondered if she really understood him because he had to protect her. He did not care whether he was giving Jane the satisfaction that did not matter to him whatsoever all he knew was that if Jane did attack for some reason that he had done everything within her power to keep his wife safe, he had to protect her, she was his life and without her it was not worth living in the slightest. Jasper was aware that Alice was perfectly capable he was not that overly protective, but he knew what Jane and the other Volturi were like they did not think in straight lines they were manipulative and down right evil in his opinion, so whether she was capable or not he was going to defend her.
"I have nothing else to say Jane, you have my response which is what you came for and unless you have any further questions, we are more than happy to let you go on your way" Jasper did not turn away from Jane to let her leave he knew better than to turn his back on the enemy, he would wait till she was gone before letting his guard down around her, he could also feel Alice's feelings behind him her protectiveness and anger towards Jane. He would clam those feelings once Jane was gone, he did not want her to think there was no threat when it still stood before them, a sense of calm returned to Jasper as their conversation concluded glad that the Volturi were going to be far away again, he did not like the idea of them being so close to home.
