Alex was sitting at his desk reading up on a certain case that had come across his desk. It was about victims that had questionable wound marks. It had been called a bear attack but the marks were too clean for a bear attack. Alex picked up the folder and backed out of his chair before turning the light at his desk out. He walked towards the doors and out towards his cruiser. He placed the folder on the passenger seat. He turned his head at the folder and shook his head. He did not like to start a job and then quit on it halfway into it. He turned the cruiser on and backed out of the parking lot. He then drove towards the hospital because he figured a hospital would be a good place to start. He figured a doctor would be the first person to notice questionable wound marks before anyone else. As he drove along the road he looked to each side and saw different types of activity and he thought” Kids these days. They can be such rambunctious.” He arrived at the hospital and he picked up the folder, locked the cruiser, and walked into the hospital.

He stopped at the desk that had a receptionist at it and asked her where he could find a particular doctor. She pointed Alex towards him. He was carlisle Cullen and he was coming from a patient. Alex stopped him by asking” Umm Carlisle Cullen perhaps? I need to ask you about a couple of cases having to do with questionable wound marks. Can we go somewhere where we can talk?”

This morning had been rather quiet at the hospital for Carlisle that just might be because he was not up for operations today that always made the day more stressful for him, instead he was just doing his normal rounds. Carlisle had just finished seeing one of the elderly patients a Miss. Johnson and was discussing with a nurse about her medication when he noticed the
Police Officer heading in his direction. "If you could just increase the dosage I don't think it's having the desired effect, she seems's to be in a lot of pain still" He smiled at the young nurse noting her cheeks went a little pink as she hurried away, they had a habit of doing that around here the female nurses especially when on shift with him and it did not fail to make him smile. As the officer approached him Carlisle recognised him as Alex Daniels, it was a small town and everyone knew everyone around here, so it had not surprised Carlisle that he knew him the first thing that ran through his mind was what on earth had Emmett or Edward or Jasper or Rosalie or Alice or Bella done. He knew it was highly unlikely they had done anything, but it was just a parenting reflex that he found occurred more and more often at the moment.

As the officer spoke he smiled and held out a hand to shake the officers hand "You have the right person and I am more then happy to help, perhaps we can talk in my office?" After shaking the officers hand he lead him back down the corridor past the front desk where he paused "Mary, could see if Dr. Larson is available to finish my round as I have to speak with this officer" He spoke to the lady at the front desk who seemed more than eager to help him out, before he continued down the corridor to his office which was located in the quieter end of the hospital near the wards for patients who stayed overnight. "So how can I help you officer" Carlisle asked as he pulled the door open and took a seat behind his immaculately clean and organised desk, he had already begun to wonder this was about at the mention of 'questionable wound marks' he had to wonder whether there were any nomad vampires passing through the area, if there were then he was not aware of them which was even worse.

As Alex had been standing in front of Carlisle he saw that Carlisle was talking to a nurse about a patient he had been working on. Then Alex knew that the good doctor was well respcted in the town.He saw Carlisle extend his hand out and then Alex did t he same and shoook Carlisle's hand and heard Carlisle ask Alex a question.Then Carlisle led Alex to his office.Alex noticed that it was very clean and Alex liked it when a person had that in t hem.Alex said" Well doc I have had cases in which there had been strange wound marks . They were marks that would not be done by any animal.

There had been two puncture marks perpendicular on the neck. I do not know of any possible animal that could have done that. In my best opinon it could have been a overdose of a taser or something."As Alex took a couple of breaths he cleared his throat. He backed up in his chair. He then looked in the folders. Then Alex spoke again saying"I am thinking that someone could have done something unnatural to the people and then tasered them to make it look like something else. That is the best thing I can think of. Have you had any questionable hospital visits from victims??" He them leaned back on t he chair and then placed t he folders on Carlisle's desk

Carlisle nodded as Officer Daniels spoke about these strange wound marks he knew immediately what they were about there must be a vampire in the area, this had happened before in the different towns that he and his family had stayed in. Though he had to wonder whether it was any of his children that may have caused this incident, but he quickly pushed that thought to the back of his mind his children would have told him if they had slipped up and there would be some red in their eyes which he had not seen, so it could not have been them. As the Officer went on to speak about the attacks the idea of a taser or an overdose was interesting to him the officer was obviously quite clever, since that could leave the marks he described "I'm afraid we have not had any questionable hospital visits that I can recall or at least not any wounds that sound to fit your description, do you perhaps have a picture of the victim which I could look at?"

As always Carlisle had a few standard responses to this sort of thing he knew he had to show a determined level of interest in helping the officer as well as asking a few questions and going through old paperwork to see if there was anything else about it. "Do you know what time frame we are looking at? The past couple of weeks? Months?" This information would also help Carlisle track it back to locate a possible vampire in the area, he would have to speak with his sons tonight to see if there was anyway they could track this vampire and make them aware of their obvious hunting style and how it could make them more obvious to humans.

Alex had just spoke to the good doctor about some cases having to do with strang wounds and questionable deaths.He saw the doctor nod his head acknowledging the contents of Alex's speech. Alex wanted to hopefully get behind this and solve the cases.Alex said" That is strange because you would think they would be taken to the nearest hospital.No I do not have any pictures on me. I forgot to bring them. I am usually not that way. I usually remember to bring everything that i would need to use.What would you say could cause two holes ot the neck right next to each other. I am thinking either supernatural of taser. Since i do n ot believe in the supernatural that leaves me to think about taser." Alex fiddled through his papers he brought and came across a interrdting detail about a case.

Alex said" There are cases that spans for decades bugt they just happen to speed up within the past few weeks. There has been injuries that i think could be stuff to throw people off the real cause of death. I inherited some of these cases. That is what i meant about few de cades that were not solved.If any cases that has to do with our talk about comes across here you will let me kn ow right?" Alex closes his folders and backs up the chair and sc oots around rto get comfortable.

Carlisle nodded slowly in agreement with the officer it was in deed peculiar that these bodies had not made it to him and there was no way of them getting here without him knowing because he knew everything happening in the hospital as one of the head doctors that was his job. Though the officers slight incompetence at not having any actual proof with him did surprise Carlisle usually the officers around here were so particular in their investigations it was unlike them to make a rookie mistake like this. At the mention of the supernatural Carlisle allowed himself to chuckle "The supernatural?" It was perfectly acted he had done this many a time there was enough confusion and disbelief in his voice to make it perfectly believable "That sounds a bit farfetched don't you think? It could be someone trying to cover up what they are doing by blaming it on something supernatural, but you don't really believe in all of that stuff do you?" This was standard conversation he had been through it before with other police officers, but still despite it being standard Carlisle spoke as if the words had never been rehearsed or repeated there was no reason to doubt what he was saying, except of course if the person he was talking to knew he was a vampire, but Carlisle knew for a fact this officer did not know.

"Of course if any information that can be of assistance comes up I will be sure to let you know, I will keep the look out for any .... supernatural injuries?" Being a doctor a man from a scientific basis he was allowed to be dismissive and laugh at the supernatural even though he knew it all to be true, it was all part of pretending to be a human. Carlisle ran a hand through his hair as he thought about what could have given fresh evidence to this trail, there must be someone passing through the parts of that he was sure, it just confused him why the shifter packs had not alerted them to the new scent or that Alice's vision had not picked up on him or her. It was possible it had just been a nomad who was a little lost of no particular threat in deed and this played heavily on his mind he was not going to have to do his own research into this that he knew.
