Since sleeping was no longer a priority for Alyx, she found herself continuously being bored. While most other guard members were reading or doing unmentionable activities in their private rooms, Alyx paced across her own room while longing for some kind of adventure. She's just returned from a mission, and it did no good to beg for one again and again. She did this nearly every week. Tonight was not any different. Alyx was sure that it was hard for even the most boring person to not want an adventure while being an invincible vampire, and she didn't see herself anywhere near boring. It was actually quite hard for her to believe that no one wondered the streets of Volterra for fun instead of just for rounds. Alyx knew very well that is was probably very stupid to take the chance of walking around too much, even at night.
She moved the curtains aside to glance around the darkened room. A soft sigh passed her lips as she slowly turned and stepped over a pile of books to the trunk at the foot of her bed. Grabbing a small bag from on-top of her trunk, which she knew was full of small packs of blood, she quietly walked out of her room and down the hall. Why she was quiet, was rather stupid. But it made the experience more mysterious for her. The empty corridors were still extremely calming to her, even knowing that everyone in the castle could hear her. Alyx made her way to the common rooms.
The first one was filled with about four members of the lower guard and while she was usually entertained when scaring them out of her way, she wasn't up for it. She was on her feet again soon, now in the hall and started her way up to the other common rooms. Every little sound startled the adventurer as she made her through the large, somewhat confusing castle, though she knew it by heart her second day, so many hundreds of years ago. Alyx passed by the second and third rooms hearing sounds she did not like to think about and the fourth one which held the sound of video game players screaming out bets. The fifth one occupied only one person, and she was fine with them.
Alyx entered the room and moved over to the dvds section of the room, nodding slightly at Marcus.

Marcus was bored of being in his room and the throne room. He had nothing better to do anyways, it’s not often he’s asked to do something by his brothers. All he could do was sit and go threw his memories of being with Didyme and actually being happy. Of course it goes all down hill once she died. He had no idea who did it and to be honest with himself he would have no idea what he would do if he found out. Though he did think about it a lot and he still does sometimes to this very day he still doesn't know what he would do, which worried him slightly.
He decided to go to a common room to relax, he thought it would be nice to do something different for once in his long life. He sighed as he just read of of the books that was left in the room by one of the guards. It seemed like an interesting read, a young man goes on an adventure of a lifetime and finds the woman of his dreams. He was glad to have a little alone time away from the guards again, but then again even Marcus does get lonely.
At that moment a guard walked into the room, a high ranking guard. He remembered her name being Alyxander, he saw her a few times but like every guard he never really paid attention to them. Normally because he’s in his own thoughts and hardly notices things. It was a surprise he even realized she came into the room at all. He nodded at her and wondered if she was bored enough to strike a conversation with him. He was feeling a little lonely at that time which he found odd.

Once Alyx found the movie she was looking for, she glanced over to Marcus. She vaguely remembered Renata talking to her (or ranting) about how Marcus needed to spend more time with other people....err vampires. Groaning mentally, she knew she promised Renata she'd speak to her master if she had the chance. However she knew he did not like the evil mind that she was some of the other guard contained, therefore, she concentrated on being positive. Not even a minute in and it was already mentally exhausting her. She quickly placed the movie back on the shelf, grabbed another and sat next to him, starring at the words on his book page. She hoped he noticed her, so she didn't surprise him, but she began speaking.
"When I was ten, my mother placed me in school. I never had one friend up to the moment I changed. But for three weeks, when I was eleven, this boy named Johnny told me I was pretty and I decided I loved him because he was cute and I was easily satisfied. We had small crushes on each other and at the end of the school day he would kiss my cheek. Then one day, he told me he loved me and I went skipping home, because I was sure I loved him too." Alyx hoped he was listening, but she was pretty sure he was because he hadn't changed the book page. "The next day at school he didn't come, and the days after that he never returned. The teacher's informed our class that Johnny's mother had pulled him out of school for showing inappropriate behaviour with a gypsy. I wasn't the only gypsy in our class, but they all knew it was me." Alyx turned her body full on to face him.
"I've had problems with love before too.". She told him rubbing her finger over the spine of the DVD. She was desperately hoping that their conversation would not turn awkward. That was the last thing she wished for. She could never handle awkward moments with calm or niceness in her voice, unless she was on a mission. Then it was an entirely different story. "I've shared my story, now you must share yours." Alyx claimed childishly.

Marcus sat in one of those comfy chairs and kept on reading the book, it did seem to be a good read but by his nature no one could tell half the time if he was interested in something. Except for maybe Aro but thats only because of his power and how long he’s been around the zombified Marcus. He looked over at Alyxandra grab a movie and sit down near him. The way she was fidgeting with it he knew she was thinking of something to say. At first he wondered why she would want to talk to him but then thought it was probably Renata or another caring guard that put her up to this. Marcus wondered what movie she was holding, it seemed to be interesting to her.
She started talking and he sat there listening to her with care. It was an odd way to talk to your master but he didn’t like everyone to be so formal to him, the words master or lord meant little to him unlike his brothers. He gave her credit though she was one of the more bold ones out of the guards. Most would not start a conversation with a leader unless spoken too and yet she boldly implied that he had to tell his love story.
He sighed softly and then spoke in his low tone, [/b]” I use to be married to a young lady named Didyme, she always brought hope into my heart when I saw her. She didn’t even have to use her power to make me a happy man. Although one day something happened to her and I could not see her anymore...”[/b] He frowned even more and took a deep, unneeded breath
