I REMEMBER WHEN WE BROKE UP THE FIRST TIME • saying,"this is it, I’ve had enough," 'cause like • WE HADN'T SEEN EACH OTHER IN A MONTH
The Night had arrived after long last, Aro had spent thousands on getting things ready and looking how he liked but there was so much more to do; the first of the guests would be arriving within a few hours. His guard where already in position and the food and drink. was been lied out. the throne room had become a wondrous place with lights decorations and even a blood fondue fountain. Aro was not about to let anyone screw this night up.
Aro had a master of list of which covens where attending, and the names of the people within each of them. The Volturi have been known to throw gale balls, for special events or certain days of the year. He was expecting Jasper to show up soon his power would be the control factor he would need for this night to run soothingly. And for sake of everyone it better
He did have other motives for this ball. but he would keep them buried for the moment he would play host. to all the covens that would be showing up. Hours later most of the guests had arrived. the Covens he hoped to show up have not yet arrived. but the night was still young and deadly.
Only he-was present at the moment along with his charming wife Sulpicia and Renata.. along with the others guards assigned to maintain order and keep the peace. Aro had a speech ready but he was unsure if he should use it at the moment. But he would have to the throne room was full of vampires all waiting for Aro to open the ball.
He scanned the room for a moment not seeing the Cullen's. Maybe they where late or had decided not to show?. If they did not Aro would not be happy with them, and when he is unhappy people tend to die.. *he thinks to himself saying. “Well most of the covens have arrived, but the people I want are not.. this disturbs me more then I would like. Al-lass its time to address the underdogs.
"First of Thank you for coming.. I know for some of you the trip was long and most likely boring but I Aro Volturi.. would like to welcome you to the Forever young ball.. Please look around, my guard are here for your protection and mine.. There is Truce In affect for the night. Anyone that abuses it will be dealt with harshly but for now enjoy your time in my home, and always bare in mind who’s home you are presently residing.
I Now Declare the Forever young ball open, please respect the rules and above all enjoy your self.” Aro would then return to this throne and sit down, still scanning the room for Jasper.. Alice, esme and his old friend Carlisle. What where the Cullen’s playing at it was never like them to be late for anything most of all a ball hosted by the Volturi. He looks over to his charming wife and lightly kisses her hand softly before looking to Renata “Keep your eyes open dear.. I can see the look in their eyes already. Jasper where are you..” [/b] Aro again scanned the throne room, this was going to be one long night.. But Aro was ready for it. [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGED ! Open. Jasper was never late, but on this particular night he was quite sure he and the rest of his family could be forgiven they had been hunting since this was a ball held by the Volturi there would be blood everywhere and since Aro disapproved of their 'vegetarian' diet they had thought it best to hunt and walk in their ready to resist every temptation around them. He had gone ahead of the rest of his family leaving Carlisle to keep an eye on Alice for him, Jasper knew he had a job to do here and it would not be a particularly easy one to start with, so he wanted to face it on his own though Alice was going to support him he knew he needed to prepare himself for the intensity of the emotions on his own.
At first he felt nothing, at least until he made it to the stairs entering the throne room where everyone located and then everything hit him at once the overwhelming stench of blood and the emotions. Leaning against the wall for support Jasper felt his ability surround the room soaking up the different feelings, the insecurity, confusion, interest, anger, curiosity, excitement there was so much going on around him, overall all of these feelings the strongest one was caution. Most of the vampires here seemed to be thinking the same thing and that was, a lack of trust, most likely directed towards Aro Jasper suspected, there were also a lot of underlying feelings of anger and resentment towards the Volturi and they were always difficult feelings to deal with.
His head was already beginning to pound with pain and this was only a few minutes into the party, taking a few deep breaths Jasper slowly latched his thoughts on to one of the calmer people in the area anchoring himself to their calm and using this to slowly extend the calm to other people. Slowly adding positivity into the room and making the people feel more comfortable, he did not want to take away their doubts and insecurities because they were right to feel these emotions. That could be a difficult thing with his power he knew he could manipulate the way people felt towards other and he did not want to create a sense of false security for the people here because Jasper to doubted Aro’s true intentions for this ball.
Jasper could feel his power beginning to take effect and rubbing his head he slowly began to continue into the room, he stuck to the outskirts closer to the wall. As he entered he noticed a few unfamiliar vampires look of shock on their faces at the visible scars across his neck, he had actually forgotten how intimidating he could be to new people due to the grotesque scars across his body. Taking a position happily at the edge, he was aware of their eyes still remaining on him, but he choose to ignore them instead going through the rest of the vampires around him currently there were no sings of any elevated anger or possible threats or at least according to Jasper’s judgement there was not. The focus and attention he was directing towards his ability meant that Jasper was not entirely focused on the thirst for the blood around him, which was a great help, but as he grew accustomed to the pressure on his power and the emotions around him he knew it would or could become more of a problem. Now he just wanted to focus on keep Alice close to him, if anything happened to her tonight he would never be able to forgive himself and with Aro’s interest in her ability it was vital in his opinion he kept her safe whilst they were here.

The time had come. The months of preparation and planning all culminated in this night. What would happen here tonight was anyone's guess. Probably the least likely opinion was that everything would go smoothly, though that was certainly the option she hoped for. More likely than not however, one of the covens who resented them for some reason or another would choose the ball as the perfect time to stir up trouble. This was not a time for any of the guard to relax and just have fun. If anything, the coven was more in danger now than it had been in centuries. She adored Master Aro, she really did, but she had to question the wisdom of letting so many who clearly resented them into their own home. Well it wasn't as if they were defenseless, she reminded herself. The entirety of the Volturi guard was here on the lookout for any trouble, and they had also enlisted Jasper Cullen to help them for the night. With his help the night should run a little smoother.
He was late though, she noted with a frown. All of his coven was. Where were they? It wasn't like them to be late. She glanced about the room trying to spot one of them when a blonde head of hair finally came into view. Thank goodness. She thought with some relief, shooting a brief smile in Jasper's direction. She looked back at Aro and Sulpicia, who seemed happy to be out of her tower, and mentally sighed. Why did she have a feeling that despite all their precautions, something bad was going to happen tonight? She eyed each of the guests carefully. Now who was most likely to make trouble?
The Cullens of course, were a big worry. She knew the coven was no fan of theirs after what had happened nearly five decades ago. She could not see Carlisle planning anything, but some of the younger members like their mind reader Edward might. Especially since many of the Volturi were not fond of his mate, and were bound to be thinking about harming her at some point or another. The Romanians too, might stir up trouble, though she suspected they would be easily overpowered if they tried anything. The two surviving Romanians had no gifts that she knew of, thank goodness. Most of the other covens were not likely to start anything in her opinion, though they might join in the fight if one of the two more problematic covens started something. In any case, I'll feel a great deal happier once this is all over. She thought as she laid a hand on Aro's sleeve.

The night she had in effect dreaded had now come to fruition. The invitation had been one she and Jasper had dealt with head on. She knew why it was that Aro had requested his assitance, but she hadn’t had to like it. Getting prepared had not taken long—but she had been hesitant when Jasper had gone alone, without her. It made her angry—partially because she was so worried about her husband. She didn’t know what was going to happen tonight but she hoped that it would be a nice night, without a fight breaking out. However she was preparing for each of the scenarios that could happen.
However, Jasper’s ability was the one thing that Aro was now coveting—he wanted it tonight to keep the powers—the vampires that were going to be in attendance from getting out of control. She was no fool however, as she knew very well that Aro had other motivations. He never was without a plan. And that was why she was hoping htey could get in and out, without a problem. She knew that many of them would have a problem once they arrived. Carlisle had tried his hardest to keep her close to him in the moments after Jasper had left and she had been on pins and needles so to speak. She would keep herself focused on that of her family—and what the future held, hoping she would not have a reason to use a vision to gain information. She knew it could get deadly and fast, whether anyone broke the cardinal rules or they did not.
It was safe to say that she did not trust the Volturi, no matter what they might promise. She had been running behind schedule due to Carlisle’s attempts to keep her behind. They were still at the hotel, as they were finishing up getting ready. But she had slipped past Carlisle and had made an attempt for it. She couldn’t just wait for the others to get ready. She did not want to make anyone specifically unhappy, least of all the members of the Volturi since they were in fact on the Volturi’s turf and not their own. She had arrived seconds after Aro had begun his introduction in the throne room. She was well fed and so she wouldn’t have to worry about the blood in the room. Because she knew there would be human blood and hopefully animal blood too in case they needed it. Once Aro finished speaking, she felt somewhat at ease. It eased her mind slightly as she hadn’t seen her husband yet and that above all else made her nervous. She only hoped this night would end in peace. Of course she knew above all else that it would be hard to resist the temptations around them due to the blood that would be found at any given area of the ball. Despite the fact they were in the home of the Volturi, it also made her slightly unhappy. She tried to put on a happy face though because she didn’t need questions being thrown at her. The intensity of the room was easy for even she could tell, however now that she was here she wanted to find Jasper first and foremost.
There was so much going on, and not really alot of peace in the room. She could feel the tense reactions of the situation at hand, although not being able to read emotions like her husband—she still could see it. After all they were in a place where they did not want to be—for most of them and yet here they were. She was going to be taking her time and to make sure she didn’t say or do the wrong thing that could land her family in more trouble than necessary. There would be no insults thrown tonight, at least not by her. She looked like someone straight out of the thirties, and it was purple in color. Esme had helped her pick it out and she had loved the color to begin with. After what seemed like an eternity she had found out where her husband was, and walked over in his direction. She knew there were alot of vampires there tonight, and she wanted to make the night as fun as possible. It was while her husband was lost in his keeping things calm tonight, she tapped him on the shoulder, hoping he wouldn’t be too startled. A smile appeared on her face as she looked at him. She was going to at least appear to be happy—to everyone else.
Once she found her husband though, her emotions had relaxed and she was able to start enjoying her time here. She was just going to take this all in and try to help her husband as best she could. She would feel much more relaxed when they were on the flight home. “Hey Jazz. I know you’re probably irritated that I showed up alone—but Carlisle was finishing helping Esme get ready and the others should be on their way in just a little bit....” She told her husband as she moved her hand to grab his and squeeze it so that he could know she was right there with him, even if he hadn’t heard her.

Jane had to get dressed for the dreadful thing called a gala ball. She knew that a lot of the other covens were to be there. She knew amongst them would be the despicable Cullens. Jane slipped into hher red dress that renata and Yuki helped her pick out. She did not see why she would have to dress up . Afterall she was just there to maintain order and protect the masters. She thought that regular attire would be enough for that. She did not question master Aro's order. If he thought that she were to dress up then she would have to. Then she put her black cloak on over her dress. She wanted to hide as much of the dress as possible. She wanted to keep as much diginty in tact as she could. She walked out of her chambers and she saw two lower ranked guards looking at her . They had their jaws dropping at the look of jane in a dress. She cast deadly glares at them but she did not want to waste her energy using her power on two lowly guards.
Jane made her way down the hall and towards the throne room. She saw renata, Master Aro , and two of the Culens already there. She walked up to master Aro. She asked him" What shall I start on doing for this dreadful ball. Where is my dear brother. He said he would escort me to the ball. he never showed up.?"
