The last time Benjamin had left Egypt without Amun's permission he'd been in so much trouble that it was not worth leaving again, but he had gotten sick of the same view the constant sea of sand, the eyes down the back of his neck from Amun trying to train him harder to give him more control to weaponise him even more and Benjamin couldn't stand it. At night he had crept out and just ran feeling his legs run through the sand as it sprayed out of the way as his steps carried him further away, he wanted to climb trees again, to look out at the view, to actually see the world and not just remain cooped up in that temple forever. It was a risk, Aro's threats against Amun were still there, he wanted Benjamin to join the Volturi for the same reasons that Amun wanted him, the only thing it seemed he was actually good for and that was his ability. Sometimes it felt like there was no person here, he was not a vampire, just a walking ability as that was all everyone ever saw in him, besides Tia the only kindness he had ever been shown was during his time spent with the Olympic Coven in order to help Renesmee, the vampires there had seen him as a person they had treated him well. Despite Amun's efforts to lock him in their attic to keep him a secret, but the secret was out two hindered years of hiding and he wanted to see something of the world.
Benjamin had been running all afternoon and the evening was beginning to draw in but finally he was here the Democratic Republic of Congo had a massive tropical rainforest he had learnt from the books that he had devoured in his time in isolation. Grinning he scaled the tree closes to him quickly passing from branch to branch as he reached the top, then jumping on from this tree to an adjacent tree, he climbed one of the tallest trees he could find sitting on the higher branches looking over the rainforest. It made him miss Egypt slightly, but Egypt only had historical value and Tia, this place had life, birds flying around animals scouring the floors, if was filled with excitement where as in Egypt all he saw was the locked temple door. The scent of another vampire filled his lungs, but he did not prepare himself to fight or to run for this scent was one as familiar to him as breathing had once been he stood up on the branch as Tia landed next to him. 'You didn't come home, I was worried' she said softly and Benjamin nodded turning his head to look out at the view of the rising sun "It doesn't feel like home Tia, just a cage now" Benjamin watched her move across the branch closer to him wrapping her arms around his waist, Amun was not around it was just the two of them which meant they could lie for hours talking and holding each other ignoring Amun's policy on how she should not distract him from his training.
"Did he notice?" Benjamin asked with a smile knowing what the answer would be, 'you know he did!' Tia said chuckling at his smile 'I got the whole you have any idea what a bad influence you are on him talk' this made Benjamin sigh because Amun would never understand that tia was not a bad influence, she was Benjamin's reason to go on, she made him feel cared for and loved by someone in a world where he was only wanted for his ability. "You really are you know, bad girl" he teased childishly and she hit his arm softly, 'I'm older than you so do as your told or as I tell you' now this made Benjamin laugh it was their little joke, she was older than him in human years at her being seventeen when she was changed and him being fifteen, but he was older than her in vampire years him being about two hundred and fifty and her being two hundred and fourty eight. "Come on then Amun is going to have my head if we are any later and he might not let me see you and I just couldn't deal with that" Benjamin said loosing his childish edge as he tucked some of her hair that had been in front of her face behind her ear 'he couldn't keep me away' Tia said with a smile taking his hand and holding it tightly as they decended the trees, when they reached the border with Egypt the sun was already hidden and their skin only glistened slightly whilst the sun still set.
They just sat in the sand Benjamin had his arms wrapped around Tia's shoulders as they watched the sun setting, he kissed her shoulder softly and that was when it hit him. The smell of an unfamiliar vampire, it simultaneously reached Tia who climbed to her feet with him looking around 'Do you think it's Volturi?' She asked holding his hand tightly, "I don't know?" Benjamin followed the scent so he'd understand what direction the vampire was heading from and positioned Tia behind him ready to face whoever it was Volturi or not. Amun would know they were back in Egypt and he'd be after them even more so when picked up on the unfamiliar vampire, but for now Benjamin's priorities were clear protect Tia."Go" he said to her quickly "If it's Volturi I can handle them for awhile, but you need to get away, you can go and get Amun" Tia nodded hesitantly kissing his cheek before running in the other direction away the new vampire, leave the fifteen year old child like vampire standing alone in the desert awaiting this new vampire.

Hello I'm throwing Tia in my threads because Benjamin isn't really Benjamin without Tia! And whilst she's not claimed I might just slip her in here and there! Hope nobody minds!!
