URHI . TUDHALIYAS
"You are defying salvation
The wait is your crime
Stalemate in virtue we falter
Forever is a long time"
Full Name :: Urhi Tudhaliyas
Nicknames :: Urhi
Date of Birth :: Unknown to modern calendars. He was born sometime around 1274 B.C.E.
Physical Age :: Nineteen
Mental Age :: Over three-thousand
Species :: VAMPIRE
Ability’s :: Urhi has the basic ability to conjure a physical, invisible shield to repel attacks; however, the ability is only generally good for stunning and surprising, as a vampire with more physical prowess than him could easily push back against the shield and Urhi himself, physically moving him. It also only manifests in front of him.
Height :: 5'4"-5'5"
Weight ::[/i] 124lbs
Hair ::[/i] His hair is really, really black, and though he has cut it short, slicking it back, he still keeps the two long, thin braids that hang down the right side of his head, the ends capped with gold and patiently redone each and every day. Occasionally he'll grow his hair out more, just long enough to put it into a small ponytail at the base of his skull, but he has, for the most part, abandoned the idea of having long hair in this particular day and age.
Eyes ::[/i] Urhi's eyes were once a striking green, like cat eyes, but upon turning they instead shifted a vivid red, which he absently outlines with black kohl, having enjoyed the Egyptian methods when he travelled there. He has almond-shaped eyes and long black lashes on both the top and the bottom.
General Appearance ::[/i] The first impression that many get upon looking at Urhi is that he's pretty. Not handome, nor rugged, nor ethereal, but pretty, exuding a rare kind of youthful beauty that most would identify as almost feminine in nature. This doesn't bother him, nor has it ever, and many often agree that it suits him, and that seeing him any other way would be odd to them.
A slender, lithe individual, Urhi stands at a height of around 5'4.8", though most round it up to approximate 5'5". He has tanned skin, as befitting his people, a nice dark golden brown that even vampirism hasn't been able to get rid of completely, if at all. The braids in his hair are traditional hittite, the one thing he refuses to get rid of, though he shortened the rest of his black hair around them into a short style that he keeps back off his facing, slicking it back. It looks odd sometimes, but he will not do it any other way.
Urhi's facial features are what draws many in, however. He has a long, slender neck--graceful and effortlessly elegant, one might say--and a thin face that starts out more wide at the cheekbones and ends in a slim chin, making him look at least semi-regal, with a well-aligned jaw, which is also narrow, and high cheekbones without the side effect of hollow cheeks, meaning he avoids looking malnourished all the time. He has beautiful, slender hands, perfectly suited to a musician, though he plays no instrument still in existence and has expressed no particular urge to; however, his arms are marred by the scar that turned him, where it looks like his skin tore, his darker skin marred by the white scar made by ripping teeth.
All in all, he projects an aura of youth, without looking childish.

• the Volturi coming to overthrow the coven he is currently part of
• cold, dark spaces
Secrets ::
• detests not being taken seriously
• he had, at one point, been in contact with the Romanian coven before their capital in Dacia fell, and had almost joined them when the Volturi launched their initial attack.
Personality :: Though pleasing to look at, and generally ease to please as a person, Urhi is by no means a shining example of immortal perfection, and he was certainly never an example of mortal perfection in his short nineteen years before his turning. Though his voice is pleasing, his words spoken in smooth, demure tones, without sounding false and forced, it can easily change to harsh tones and clipped barbs when he is displeased, his pretty eyes narrowing into slits of displeasure as they become hooded and dark. This change is generally born through impatience, for indeed Urhi is not the most patient of individuals, and when he is denied for too long he often becomes antsy, especially if he considers the issue to be important.
Still, Urhi can be pleasant when he wants to be, his appearance lending nicely to that more "acceptable" side of him, the side that smiles soft smiles, often tinged with fascination at one thing or another, and he's not a hard man to please, whether it's through genial company or something new for him to distract himself with. He's shrewdly intelligent too, though some often consider him a bit foolish, if only because he has a tendency to move forward without thinking, and he's not above brashly requesting aid from enemies if a greater foe arises. he also hates being interrupted, and interrupts in general, though his anger will vanish quickly if the interruption proves to be something he enjoys.
Urhi, nevertheless, is often someone people enjoy discussing things with, for he's rather famous in his circle for being able to see both sides of an argument, even if it involves him (though that doesn't stop him from acting rashly on his own behalf sometimes). He's not overly diplomatic, though, and even in the presence of a greater authority he speaks bluntly, not bothering to mince words, quickly getting to the heart of what he wants. He's also loyal when that loyalty is inspired in him, and it binds him, for however long, to the source of that inspiration, while it exists.

History ::[/i] Urhi was initially born in the land his people and the Assyrians called Hatti, near the height of their empire until the reign of king Muwatalli II. In fact, he was born during the same year as the famous Battle of Kadesh between the Egyptian army and Muwatalli's invading Hittite force, which was won by the Egyptians, though by how much is actually hard to say. A noble of respective standing within his family, he was the only child to survive past the age of three, his other siblings having died in infancy or early childhood. He was named for the crown prince of Hatti, prince Urhi-Teshub, an honour at the time. Early on it was determined that he would not be joining the Hittite forces, for though he would have felt personal satisfaction in showing Ramesses that even an "effeminate" army (so Ramesses called them, as a result of the long hair Hittites preferred) could best his, he knew he did not have the build.
Instead, Urhi spent much of his early years training for priesthood, looking to their emperor, who doubled as the High Priest of Hatti's polytheistic beliefs, to keep the empire strong. Being raised in Hatti, Urhi came into contact with many smaller cultures and religions that had been assimilated into the Hattian Empire, which tolerated other forms of polytheistic worship, often actively incorporating the beliefs of others into their own religious system. Urhi himself eventually chose to dedicate himself to service of the storm god, Teshub, the major Hattian deity.
When prince Urhi-Teshub succeeded his father, Urhi himself watched from the temple shadows as the young emperor lost his crown to his uncle, Hattusili, but he did not have much time for idle observation or critical thinking, for his duties in the rapidly changing Empire only increased as the people threw their support being Hattusili, who had proven himself a far more able warrior, and therefore more worthy in the eyes of the people than a prince who had done nothing. It was sometime during this chaos that Urhi-Teshub fled Hatti to seek refuge in Egypt, and without knowing why, Urhi himself joined the small procession of men following him to beg aid from the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramesses II, already being hailed as Ramesses the Great in the smaller, conquered kingdoms of Mittani and Nubia. It was during this visit to Egypt, alone in the palace, that Urhi was approached by a strange woman, dressed in the red robes of a priestess of Isis, approached him, but he had little time to react before she swooped down on his, latching her teeth onto his arm, almost ripping at the skin as he screamed before she whisked him away to hidden rooms in Isis' temple and explained to him exactly what he had become.
He spent a harsh year under the priestess' hawk-like watch, her shrewd eyes watching him for any mistaking, threatening him with death if he messed up. When Urhi-Teshub was eventually required to return to Hatti, Urhi himself stayed behind, shortening his hair to stop those within Egypt's palace with disdain for the Hittites from thinking him ill or a spy. Still, he kept his braids, though he'd often pin them up, keeping them hidden under the expensive wigs the Egyptian nobility wore. He became aware of an Egyptian coven of vampires by the time he was a year old, no longer a mere newborn, though he chose not to join them, for though he enjoyed the Egyptian gold and the way the Egyptians dressed and lived, it was not his home. As soon as he was able, he left the care of the priestess, returning home to Hatti, where he stayed until he caught wind of a large vampire coven down in Dacia, so primitive a country that he had never deigned to step foot there. Still, Urhi left Hatti and made his way day, intent on joining the much larger ranks of the Dacia coven, if only to chase away the astounding sense of loneliness he felt, unable to step out into the sunlight he loved without fear of exposure in a desperate attempt to keep his old life.
Upon reaching Dacia, he requested an audience with the twelve leaders of this coven, so vast, something Urhi knew had never been done before in the vampire world; however, before he could assimilate himself fully into their ranks, the Volturi attacked, burning down the Dacian castles and slaughtering nearly all of the leaders. Urhi fled, not once looking back, almost horrified by the brutality of this new rising coven. He wandered as a nomad for many years after that, hearing about the Volturi-induced destruction of the Egyptian coven from other nomads he would sometimes travel with, filling his days with their hushed talk as the vampire world around them burned.
For a long while, no vampire dared to try and piece together their own coven, no matter how small, for fear the Volturi would descend upon them, but eventually they started trickling together again, through bonds of love or just companionship. Urhi was in many different, small covens during his wandering years, as he watched the world he had grown up in collapse and give way to new ones, though he never stepped foot in their directions.
Eventually, in his travels, he caught wind of another name, small but constant--that of "The Saint Vampire", and while the name made his mouth twitch in ill-suppressed amusement he made his way to her large plantation home and unostentatiously requested to be allowed to stay, at least for a little while, or until she saw fit to request his absence from her coven. He has been there ever since, and has since adapted the surname Tudhaliyas, if only for convenience's sake.
