Personality ::
tia has always been a quiet girl. even from the time she was young, she was always considered shy - but calling her shy would be a complete misjudgment. tia is very far from shy; she is intellectual, and she keeps quiet not because she is scared of social interaction, but because it's easier to observe that way. people don't pay attention to the woman who keeps quiet. they may think about her for a time - a short time - but soon they move on to more pressing matters, and this gives tia the opportunity to see far more than the average socialite would.
however, tia is also incredibly analytical. she rarely does things impulsively - each move she makes is tapered with caution, decided down to the finest point possible, and sometimes this hinders her more than she'd like it to. snap-decisions aren't her strong suit. she likes to carefully evaluate things before making a firm stance. one of her biggest pet peeves is people who simply act before thinking; she believes it to put everything at risk, and certainly wouldn't advocate any behavior like that.
Mother ::[/i] nen-sala.
Father ::[/i] akar.
Siblings ::[/i] too many for her to remember now.
Other important people ::[/i] amun and kebi, her coven mates, an benjamin, her mate.
History ::[/i]
from a young age, tia has known that she came from a large family - a family that consisted solely of her mother and her brothers and sisters. there had never been a father; akar left, long before tia could remember, but some of her older siblings remembered him. when at last managing the large family became too much for her mother, tia was handed off to an uncle, who appreciated not only her quick and steady fingers, but also the lovely singing voice she had adapted from her mother.
it was the only thing of her mother that tia had left after she went to live with her uncle. at the time, she had thought of it as a punishment; she wasn't part of the family anymore - she was unwanted, tossed aside because she was too much - but living with her uncle is where she met benjamin, when she was seven years old. they were quickly friends; sweet, quiet tia was eternally grateful for the friendship she had with benjamin, and the trust he placed in her. over the years, their close friendship became more - and tia was realizing, as time passed, that she was certainly falling in love with benjamin.
they saved up their money to run away together; they had a plan, a route for escape, but the daydream didn't last long. not long after, tia's uncle died - and benjamin disappeared, leaving her alone. once again, she was the left-over. reluctantly, tia returned to her mother with the money she had saved, continuing to work to help pay her way back into her mother's heart.
eventually, someone offered a dowry for her - something that tia's scrutinizing mother was not willing to pass up. the dowry was accepted, and tia was married to a man named alim - a clerk, who worked in suez. after they were married, she moved to suez with him and lived a happier life; she was in a better home, with a man who, she supposed, must have felt something for her - but he wasn't benjamin, and she didn't think she would ever love her husband like she had loved ben.
so, when benjamin found her in suez after all that time, there was not a moment of hesitation in tia's heart when he asked her to come with him. when she saw him, she knew - she would never be happier than when she was with benjamin. as soon as tia realized she could never be with him as long as she was mortal, she agreed to let him change her - and they've been together ever since.

Role Play Sample ::[/i]
thick, heavy moonlight was cutting slices across the marble floor of the home that they shared with amun and kebi. for the longest time, tia had been restless - the volturi were on the move, planning something, and she could feel it deep in the chilled marrow of her bones. she had spent the last few hours watching the water in the pool sift and sway and with an invisible current, but even the sound that might have once mimicked the ocean didn't calm her slowly fraying nerves.
the woman prowled a little bit - she sometimes did that when she was feeling particularly restless - but it didn't last long; she stopped and paced, looking out the windows at the clear night. she had to figure out something. they'd made the stand with the cullens all those years ago, but that certainly didn't mean that they were able to be kept safe from any harm. no, if anything, it meant that their defiance of the volturi rule had put them in the spotlight - had put benjamin in the spotlight - and suddenly the very real threat that her mate may be under volturi scrutiny was sitting heavy on her mind.
despite her worrying, tia was confident - well, partially confident - that things would be alright. there was no way that she was going to let those volturi parasites sink their claws into her benjamin; she had spent too many nights worrying, too much time on the run, too much effort keeping benjamin safe and out of the public eye to let the volturi ruin everything now. yes, she thought absently - let them debate, let them throw their balls, let them do whatever it is they wished. she would make sure they reaped what they sowed.
