Personality :: Despite what she has been told—she belives she is an ordinary plain jane, compared to a striking beauty—due to her vampire status. Although once her eyes were the shade of a dark brown in nature, similar to an earthy chocolate tone, they no longer are. Her vampire life brought upon a few changes—like the color of her eyes, from the color she was born with she started with a crimson red color, like any newborn would have, and now it’s slowly transitioning once more into an almost golden amber color. Among her family she is happy—and feels complete, being around humans, and she is reminded of her past—of her family that has long since passed away—a fact that still haunts her to this day, having never told them the truth because she just couldn’t.
Looks were always something she put on the backburner compared to the others in the Cullen family, but she is about average in height and weight, though don’t ask her for her weight because she’ll refuse to tell you. Her clothing has been somewhat modified over the years to reflect the current time but it’s always casual and laid back, giving it an almost relaxed appeal.
She is skinny but has an almost athletic build which she has worked hard to maintain.
Although it may not be flashy, she tries to look her best—to at least be presentable. Like most girls, especially like Alice, she finds herself happy to gain a new accessory, whether it be a new handbag or new shoes. Everything she does has a natural tone with it, and her makeup is no different. There are very few times where she wears colors that are not neutral in design. Which is exactly how she likes it.
She is goodhearted and accepting when it comes to people, she tries to see the best in everyone and not focus on what might be bad about them. She doesn’t talk badly about people, but prefers to learn about them firsthand. She is forthcoming in a certain extent—trying to maintain who she was before becoming a vampire. But there are things she just won’t talk about, to a complete stranger. She is protective over her family—and the friends she makes throughout her existance. She feels bad whenever she has to ‘lie’ about who she is, and isn’t able to say what she is...but that is a price worth paying.
Not looking to be popular, she is friendly to everyone—even when there are times where there are people less than friendly that she is around. She doesn’t like to fight—and will talk to anyone, no matter the situation they are in. She’s a good listener and willing to give advice where she can. She doesn’t want drama in her life, as she’s had more than enough of it as a human. When it comes to her family she is fierce, and if she has to fight to protect them than so be it. She doesn’t flinch when it comes to blood and being around humans, despite having been a vampire for less time than everyone except her daughter. She has an ambitious spirit, and wants to do the best that she can, no matter how many times she’s been in highschool! She has a good heart and good looks to match the shining personality that most people see.
Mother ::[/i] Renee Dwyer (Biological mom, deceased.) Esme Cullen (Adopted mother in law)
Father ::[/i] Charlie Swan (biological father, deceased), Phil Dwyer (stepfather, deceased) Carlisle Cullen ( adopted father in law)
Siblings ::[/i] Biologically none, adopted brother in laws--Jasper Hale and Emmett Cullen. Adopted sister in laws--Alice Cullen and Rosalie Hale.
Other important people ::[/i] Phil Dwyer, he married my mother and therefore he was an important part of our lives, though of course he and my mother and father are all deceased but I still think about them often. Then of course I should mention the love of my life--Edward Cullen. He is my world, I would not be who I am today without him. He's the reason I was able to keep breathing until I was eighteen. I became a vampire because of our love. Another important person in my life would be my daughter, Renesmee. She is my only daughter--my only child with Edward as she was concieved while I was still a human.
Speaking of my daughter, another important person in my life is my best friend, and Quileute shifter, Jacob Black. He has imprinted on my daughter and I can't say I like it but I know he didn't do it voluntarily, it was something he couldn't control. Although we're now considered enemies due to what we are, I have always loved him and respected him. But oh how he does smell horribe! It's tolerable but still he stinks like a wet dog!
History ::[/i] September 13th 1987, was a day unlike any other for Charlie Swan and his wife Renee. They were at home enjoying a nice day to themselves. Charlie left to go take care of a few errands and it was while he was out and about did his cell phone go off and Renee called to inform him that her water broke. Rushing home quickly, he was able to get his wife to the hospital, but just barely. She entered the world, with a full head of hair and beautiful brown eyes. Unfortunately life was not going to be blissful for long as while Charlie loved the town of Forks, his wife did not, and wanted to get out. Little fights became big ones and soon their marriage would dwindle until there was nothing left. The two later divorced and Renee took Bella to Phoenix Arizona, which was the polar opposite of where her father lived, in Forks, Washington.
During the holidays and the summers she would visit her father, and it was during these trips that she met Jacob Black, the son of her dad’s friend Billy. The two would build mud pies together. After a couple years the visits stopped partially because she disliked coming back. But it was only after her mother remarried a man named Phil Dwyer that she realized she was holding her mother back from doing something she really wanted to do. So hesitantly....almost reluctantly she chose to return to Forks. So that her mother could travel with her minor league baseball husband. Which she knew that was what her mom wanted even without her saying so.
At first coming to Forks, it was just like she remembered. The best thing about being back was that Charlie didn’t hover. Yes she called her father Charlie instead of Dad but that was because it was simpler to do so after not really having the kind of bond that most fathers and daughters had. It was then that she went to Forks High where she was immediately drawn to Edward Cullen. He was mysterious and there was something about him that she just couldn’t place and wanted to know more about him. Especially because at first he wasn’t all too friendly towards her and even wanted to switch classes! Discovering that he was a vampire, didn’t matter. Although it had been her friend Jacob who had told her the legends of the pale faced ones, which she figured out was the Cullens. She had already believed in her heart that she loved him.
He helped her in so many ways. He knew how to make her smile and how to make her laugh. She wasn’t scared about what he was or what he could do to her. All she knew was that he was a good man and that she had feelings for him.
Even though there was a part that was dominant, and she didn’t know how dominate it might be that thirsted for her blood. Knowing what Edward was—it only made her want to be more like him—to be a vampire.
Something that he had always discouraged.
She met his entire family...his mother, Esme, a beautiful woman, his father, Carlisle, a doctor, his sisters Rosalie and Alice, and his brothers Emmett and Jasper. They were all amazing. Rosalie didn’t like her at first. Alice of course the two of them bonded rather quickly with Alice having premonitions. Jasper, he was different and he could control emotions. Then of course Edward with his telepathy. His other family members did not have any unique power. Emmett of course had his brute strength.
When a tracker vampire known as James intervened with his coven, Victoria, his mate, and Laurant during the Cullen’s baseball game during a thunderstorm, it only showed her just how dangerous the situation was. James wanted her dead. With Edward’s help, James was destroyed. Ripped and burned the pieces, which is because it is the one solid method to destroy vampires.
When she was invited to the Cullen residence for her eighteenth birthday party, she went. But when she went to open up a present she cut herself and a little bit of blood came out. And Jasper went crazy due to his not being able to control his thirst.
Although Carlisle was able to stitch her up, it didn’t change anything. She didn’t blame Jasper for it, but Edward wasn’t happy. He and his family left Forks. When Edward left—when they all left, her heart felt like it had shattered into a millon pieces.
It was like she was a shell of who she was. She didn’t really hang out with her old friends, she didn’t do much of anything except mope around the house and have these nightmares.
The nightmares and the pain were the only reason she knew that Edward had in fact existed, that they all did. Her only solitude was when Jake was around. He was able to mend her heart, and she grew to care for him as any friend would. The two would just spend time together talking and laughing, and she even convinced him to build two death machines with her.
It was because of him and their time together that she started to feel like she had been before, before Edward existed.
It was the only time when the pain ceased but even then it still made itself known. She began to realize that she had to do things recklessly to see Edward in a vision.
It was as though he was there in front of her. She had an accident on the bikes because of it, had rode with strangers on their bike, and even had jumped off a cliff recreationally.
It was then that Alice returned and the two would travel to Italy, to where the Volturi, the group known as the rulers of the vampiric community resided. Edward had gone to end his life without her, believing she was dead due to Alice sharing a vision in which she saw Bella jump, but not be saved by Jacob. It was around this time that she learned Jacob was a shapeshifter—a werewolf shifter. And also learned about the tribe known as the Quileutes and the treaty with the Cullens. Laruant was later killed by the shifters.
Victoria came in retribution for James’ death and eventually Edward and his family were able to kill her and rip her head off and burn the pieces. She still wanted to become a vampire, and so Edward said he’d only allow her to do so—that he would be the one to change her if she would marry him. She accepted and the two became engaged. She was the happiest that she had been in a while.
The day of her wedding, she was a nervous wreck. Hoping she wouldn't embarrass herself. She remembers everything about that day. How Charlie had walked her down the aisle--how he had promised her that she wouldn't fall. And the look on Edward's face as he saw her coming towards him. All of the eyes were on her, and it also made her nervous but she was excited to start a new chapter of her life--with Edward as a vampire.
After the ceremony--the two left. Edward took her to Esme's private island for their honeymoon called Isle Esme. It was there where they spent their first night as a married couple. They enjoyed eachother's company and learning more about eachother--but two weeks into their honeymoon things changed. It was then that she realized she'd been late. And felt something move inside of her. She was pregnant. She never thought it was possible.
But while everyone around her wanted her to give up the baby--to end the pregnancy, she just couldn't. Even Edward suggested to get rid of it. The only person on her side was Rosalie, the last person she expected. Eventually she did give birth to a child--her and Edward's only child--named after Esme and her mother Renee, given her a combination of it. Her name was Renesmee. Because of what happened while she was giving birth--she was about to die, when Edward changed her, to save her.
Three days later, she awoke to her life as a vampire. Her eyes red, needing blood. Once she opened her eyes she saw Edward...and her life was back in balance. After she had hunted--she was introduced to her daughter for the first time. There were no words to describe the feeling of what that was like. It was then that she realized that Jacob, who was her best friend, had imprinted on her daughter. A fact which made her very angry.
She was reunited with Charlie, in person. He knew of the existance of shifters because of Jacob, but he had no idea that she was a vampire, or that his granddaughter was half of one. She didn't see her mother--but did call her often.
The Volturi believing that her daughter, Renesmee was an immortal child--came after her and her family. They would have a near war--stopped only because of Alice's vision, which showed Carlisle, and Jasper dead, along with Jane and Aro. But even those losses were horrible, just like Seth and Leah's were. Though truth be told she could've handled Jane and Aro's death with ease.
After it was all said and done the family moved away from Forks, and now it's fifty years later, in which she would have been almost seventy should she have aged the way that a human would. She awaits the new challenges and being back in familiar territory.

The motion of her heartbeat had quickened at first and then slowly but surely disappeared as the days progressed. She didn’t know the worry that everyone was fearing. It had been a still—quiet event to take place as she went through the process. The silence, she knew now, had to have been hard on her family to witness. The not knowing if she had been saved from the death she would have had to endure—if Edward had been able to save her life. The last thing she had seen as a human was that of her daughter...and it was beautiful—peaceful. To say that it was like an out of body experiance was putting it lightly. She could feel and hear the others around her but she couldn’t see them—she couldn’t react to what they were saying or how they touched her. Though knowing her sister Alice, she would have probably said that eveything was fine and that the vision would come true—that it just had to. The moment she had awoken up—from her last sleep—it was something she had no words to truly explain it’s feeling. Edward had taken her straight out to the woods, and she couldn’t even remember the feeling that it came, being able to run as fast as he and the others could now. She was no longer this frail and fragile person she used to be. She was so much stronger than that now. She was back among the living—even without a heartbeat—she was still very much alive, well alive as vampires could get. It was a good thing.
Seeing Jacob then had been a blessing. He had come out to greet her as a vampire—which truth be told it was a different sort of encounter than the one she had ever anticipated. But when she moved into the house—her eyes looked upon the faces of the others, thrilled to be among them—to be like them now. Seeing them now—was a completely differnet experiance than it had been as a human. It created a stronger bond with them. Especially with Rosalie, the two of them had formed a unique bond while she was pregnant with Renesmee and it was something that had continued long after she had become a vampire.
Loving Edward wasn’t that hard, although as a human it had been complicated—but as a vampire—being the same temperature—she recalled the strength she had then. Oh how nice that was! It had made him be more vulnerable to her strength—than she had been to him as a human.
Quite remarkable really. The one reason she had loved the family—the Cullens as a whole was that they were strong and passionate, compassionate to others—others who had no idea of what they truly were. They were civil and respected human life and she was more than proud to be one of them—even if she had only married into the family, they were family nonetheless. Death wasn’t what she had ever truly expected, and now that she was a vampire—it was something she didn’t have to worry about. Yes she had died, to become a vampire, but that was different as her death then had not been permanent, because she had been able to wake up from it. Having gotten the deed to her and Charlie’s old home, gave her a bit of renewed hope. It gave her something to focus on, something that didn’t need to be done right away. Esme had asked her if things were okay with what she was doing—to the house—as it was her house now. Quite strange to think of it that way. Although Charlie had never known that she, Edward and their daughter, Renesmee were vampires, he had known enough of the supernatural life to allwo the three of them to come and go from Forks when necessary. They had done alot to help Charlie and it was nice to have their connection with him. The connection she had to Charlie had only grown stronger during these times. Even though they only could come at night—so they wouldn’t be seen—had made a difference on Charlie. He hadn’t lost her, which she knew that was a fear of his when he had walked her down the aisle toward Edward. Now of course things were still the same as the family parked their cars at home—at the old Cullen residence so that no one could see the cars—which would be sure to have people ask questions should they be seen. Although it was good to see the changes in the house—it was filled with sadness, and she hoped one day that the house would be filled with happiness, and the laughter she recalled having there as a young girl. Although it was a hard decision to make she wondered if her daughter would be happy in her old home, with Jacob. That thought would have to be discussed with Edward for sure, before she made a final decision, but she wasn’t about to tell Esme that.
If Edward agreed to it, she would allow her daughter and Jacob to set up their own home there. Both were old enough to be able to live on their own but as a mother, her maternal instincts were strong and she always worried about them. It was also possible that neither Jacob or Nessie would want to live there in which case she would rent the place out while they were gone. She knew that Jacob still looked like he had the last time she had seen him as a human...still as young even though in reality he’d be about her age, though he certainly didn’t look the part, and neither did the other shifters, or their imprints. It was something she couldn’t dare explain, but there was certainly a reason for it, but what was the question. She didn’t dare think about it too much, it would give her a headache.
Coping was the best way she could describe handling Charlie’s death and the deaths of the others had been. Sure many of her clasmates were alive, but their parents. The friends of her parents were long dead...but not many of her classmates had stayed in Forks when it was all said and done, which was refreshing. She heard her mother’s laugh and smiled, Esme had become her mother—with how she had treated her over the past fifty years, as she was now classified as her second mother. Sure she could never replace Renee, but Esme wouldn’t try....but her heart—despite the fact it wasn’t beating was open enough to accept Esme as her mother too. “Yes, I’m well aware of that, Esme. But we don’t want to surprise the humans, they may be well....unaware of us—but they’ll figure something is up if all of a sudden they see the work done faster than most are able to get done within two months.” She grinned at Esme.
When Edward had taken off that first day she didn’t know what to think, she wasn’t sure if he hated her—if she had said or did the wrong thing but then he was gone for weeks at a time—and it started to make her feel like she was the reason. Like was there something wrong with her? That was what had gone through her mind in the days that followed Edward’s disappearance. “I’m sorry I made it so difficult on him. But at least now I know where he was during those times where he was missing from class. I just I remember asking myself you know, if it was something I did or said, if there was something wrong with me....and that was why he was avoiding me. It only made me even more curious. I remember he wouldn’t even introduce himself. He seemed to hate me—and I never understood why until I found out what it was that he—was. Til I found out he was a vampire. Funny thing was he asked me if I was scared. And you know, most people in my situation probably would have been....but I didn’t view him as a threat. I remember he got a good laugh when he told me that I was going to be meeting you guys—for the first time...and instead of being afraid because I was going to be the only human in a house full of vampires. I was afraid that you guys wouldn’t like me.” She told Esme honestly, and it was good to remember it. To remember how it all started. All she had known was that Edward had hit her hard and fast, and from then on, her love for him just seemed to grow uncontrollably. She had known early on that there were a few of the Cullens who had been against her being around—mostly for the fact she knew what they were. Though it wasn’t Edward’s fault she had known the truth—she had done the research herself. Jasper himself had told her that he had wanted to kill her early on, and from the look on Rosalie’s face it was evident she felt the same. But Alice had mentioned to her that they were going to be friends. It was quite a shock at first, but then she realized that everything happened the way it was meant to—and it was why she was so relieved that they hadn’t killed her when they had the oppertunity to do so. Edward had finally given in—to what he was feeling and she was happy he had as she was about to give up.
“Yeah he is, I remember he got so angry with me, because he thought—we were going to end up together...he hoped for it, fought for it....but I just I didn’t see him that way. You know, he was family—still is, but to me he was kind of like a brother, had always been that way even before I met Edward. I was surprised to be honest when Jacob remained by my side after I was changed, especially because of what he had said, when he had found out that I was going to become one. He told me once that he thought it was better that I was truly dead than to be one of them—that was how he described vampires. But he—he helped us so much—him as well as Seth and Leah...they risked their lives to help save ours, and for that I will always be grateful. Especially when they were helping to save my daughter’s.” She took an unneeded breath. “No one did, but I’m glad that it happened, my only regret is that she’s an only child. You know like I was—and the only comfort I have with that, is that she is surrounded by people that truly love her and that she’s truly never alone. Because between our family and Jacob—she has more than enough people to love her. And yes, I know the wedding was beautiful—it was something I never expected. Alice did a good job. I know Rosalie and Emmett get married every chance they can! And don’t you dare give Alice any more ideas! She has too many as it is! Knowing her, she probably is already working on something like that!” She said as she knew that Esme was only teasing but she was very serious. She didn’t want the nerves to hit her again like that. As it had been overwhelming then—but she had been human, now of course it was different. Although it was quite romantic to renew one’s vows she knew that too.
