Due to the influx of powers in original characters especially we, the admins, have come up with some guidelines that will hopefully help people determine what powers are okay and which ones are too powerful, etc, so that I don't have to cry inwardly whenever I ask someone to change their power c:

THESE WILL BE ADDED TO THE RULES, AND THEY ARE ALSO BEING ADDED TO THE GIFT CLAIM. If you have any types of powers that you think should be on this list, please post it here.

Remember that Stephenie Meyer stated that "a large majority of vampiric gifts are psychic", and that Benjamin's gift of elemental control is "the most powerful physical ability and one of the most powerful gifts in general that ever existed among vampires", followed by Alec's sensory deprivation, etc. So if your gift is more powerful than Ben's, you might want to revise it c:

• Anything to do with seeing/ predicting the future [except alice]
  
• Anything to do with timetravel
  
• Any ability that can strengthen/weaken/otherwise change other people's abilities
  
• Anything to do with regression [changing someone's age]
  
• Mental Imprisonment
  
• Teleportation
  
• Telekinesis/etc
  
• Anything to do with changing how a person looks
  
• Technokinesis
  
• Hemokinesis
  
• Shield abilities like Bella's [can block all mental/physical powers, cover multiple targets etc; if you want a shield ability make sure it has reasonable limitations and does not approach Bella's level c: ]
