She knew that her squirming was driving him crazy. It was smart really. She could sense the tension, between the two, it was as thick as it could possibly be. She had always been known to avoid males, especially vampire males. Human males often forced her to fight, but nothing had been like tonight’s events. Though she was not trying to truly fight either. She wasn’t putting her whole strength into it. She wasn’t the type of woman to give up without a fight. It was something that had been instilled in her ever since she was a young girl. She had helped to save her younger and older sister’s lives once....even if in the end they did die young. She had never needed to satisfy her tastes as much as she did lately. Lately all of her experiments had died before she had a chance to test her new tactics.
There were still other needs that needed to be met, and very few could satisfy her the way she needed them to. Of course, there were certain needs that were not able to be satisfied, and most of her partners were dead before they had a chance to truly try. She usually broke them before they really had a chance to give her something worth remembering. She’d never had a vampiric partner for obvious reasons as there was none that could....quench the thirst the way that she hoped for. She’d never attempted gaining a vampiric partner. As she was wary of the sort. Was it something worth trying? To get a vampiric partner? She wasn’t sure. In this moment she wanted something more than what she was getting from her human partners....something worth looking for. She never had thought about there being a potential—or possibly many potential partners for herself out there. She knew she was beautiful, but she’d never really gone looking for potential partners before, not after what had happened when she was younger.
The truth was, when it came to partners, humans could easily be broken, vampires, not so much. There was something...drawing her into this situation at the moment. Not just from the memory of him, but of what she was faced with now. Alexander was not so different than how she remembered him. He was handsome to be sure, but he was also very cocky much like she was. Alexander had the looks, as did she, but there was other temptations than just the looks. It had to be about whether they could actually get along when they weren’t questioning eachother....or their tactics. Still she had never been in this kind of situation to know what it was that he was thinking or better yet feeling. If he even had feelings at all. She sure did. It was one thing that hadn’t been killed along with her humanity. Looks were not everything to her...not in the end.
Still the pitiful fools who thought they were her partners ended up regretting it later, when she had tortured them, made them feel as though they were the true scum of the earth like she believed them to be before ending their miserable lives. She was getting angry. And that was never a good thing. Before she had a chance to truly say anything much less react, he had spun her around, when he had grabbed both of her wrists, pinning her to him, with her back against his chest. “I’d rather not.” She said, with the same determined Irish accent she always used when irritated. This of course caused her to raise an eyebrow, when suddenly she found herself on his lap, even though she had said she didn’t want to do it. What had just happened? It had all happened so quickly that she had no idea what to expect now. It had all happened without even barely making a sound. She wasn’t happy about it but there was nothing more that could be done.
“Alexander. I think you underestimate me. You may think you know just how much of a brutal killer I can be but you haven’t seen the best of what I can do either. Just like I haven’t exactly seen you at your full potential not that I need to. There’s not much to see. Just from looking. Yes, you may have me bound to you, with no chance of escaping but there’s so much more terrifying things than that.” She said squirming more to try and get out of his grasp. She did not like being bound without there being a true reason for it. She was suddenly pulled against him, her head resting on his shoulder. It made her wonder what was to happen next. His dark chuckle was enough to make her want to escape, but as crazy as it was, she knew he wouldn’t hurt her. How she knew that she wasn’t quite sure. Sure she was bound to him but there were worse things that someone like Alexander could do....if he so wished it.
“I’m not afraid of you, Alex. We’re both monsters in that sense. I’ve killed thousands upon thousands of souls...both human and not, for doing less than what you’ve done now.” Her tone was calm, similar to his when he had said that he was a monster. She did not view him in that regard. A bit crazy for holding her like this but she did not view him as some terrible monster. Yes, there were certain things she would like to say but knew better than to say them. She continued to squirm. She wasn’t going to let him win. This wasn’t going to be how it all ended. “I’m not yours. Just because you have me here, does not mean I’m yours. Say what you will, but there is nothing you could do or say that would convince me you’re this monster you seem to think you are. I’ve seen and dealt with worse.” She told him in a simple matter of fact tone, she knew that the accent in which the words were being spoken was as though it had come from another time. From the century in which she had grown up in. A century long since forgotten.
“No, you’ve lost it, alright. No matter if it is in your nature not. You’ve lost the charm you once held....I can see that just as much as I can see you now. No, not all women are the same. I could say the same thing about men. Especially the ones I’ve found myself in contact with. It’s all about choices it’s as simple as that. The men I’ve dealt with, you give them a little, and they take everything they can, including one’s freedom.” Her tone growing darker as she stated it. His trying to control the situation only made her want to get out from under his grasp, quickly. “ No, you don’t need to remind me. I think you’ve gotten a bit more big headed since the last time I ran into you.” She smirked as she said it, but before she could stop him, he had planted a rough kiss where he had grazed her neck with his teeth. She had been trying to resist even more so now that they were sitting down, it wasn’t right. She didn’t want to be some kind of vampiric slave to him. She was wondering what it was going to be like now. How far this would go?
What he wanted from her per say. As if he didn’t want to hurt her but yet still held her down. “What do you want from me? You wouldn't be holding me against my will if you didn't want something from me. You don’t want to hurt me, I can sense that, but if not that....then what? Because....I can’t figure you out...” He was a mystery to her. There were so many things running through her head as she felt more unsure of this situation, she did not know how to handle this. It had never been done before. She had stopped squirming momentarily when he had moved his teeth back to her neck, because if he bit her and she was squirming, she could end up dead. But something told her this wasn’t what he wanted.
"What is he after? There has to be something...he wants from me. But what? What could he possibly want from me that he doesn't already have and what could I possibly offer him that he wants so much? Guess time will tell wont it?" She thought to herself watching his every move.

Alex could tell she was irritated. It was the same as the night they had first met, how she got all Irish on him. He wasn't afraid of her, in fact it amused him that he had made her feel this way. It had been his intention from the start, to get under her skin and make her angry. Mission accomplished. However he was unsure how she would retaliate if he continued to push her. He would not tolerate another physical attack. He had given her one shot, and that was all. He would not hesitate to retaliate the next time she got all physical. Alex was being very lenient with her. He did not normally allow second chances. He wanted her to understand that.
"Katherine, I have never underestimated you. I know that there is more to you than you let on. But you do underestimate me. You may think that all there is to know about me is on my sleeve but trust me it is not." He too was getting slightly irritated with the way she was talking him down. However he did not show it. "There is far more terrifying things than being bound to me, but I could make you regret that. I'd like you to understand my dear, that I am being uncommonly lenient with you. You may be angry but I would be careful of your words. You would not like them to come back and bite you later on."
His laughter grew louder. "If you think that in any way you are hurting my feelings or making me doubt myself you are incredibly wrong. You are sour as I did not chose you all those years ago. I will tell you the reason why I did not chose you... You would not satisfy my thirst. It was nothing to do with the fact I felt the red was better looking than you because it was not. It was because she had fresh blood pumping through her little body. So now you can come down from your pedestal and quit denying how much you are attracted to me." He was not denying that men and women alike were both as bad as each other but he knew that women were far worse in his own book.
"Impossible" He whispered against her neck. He wanted to bite her hard but refrained from it. He just wanted to teach her a little lesson for her quick mouth. He felt her still in his arms and grinned. She finally understood the danger she was in. He could kill her with one snap of his teeth. But he had promised he would not hurt her. "I am unsure as of yet exactly. I will decide presently, it will depend however on how smart your mouth continues to be. I enjoy feisty girls, but I prefer those that understand their place when they have overstepped their mark." He tightened his grip on her wrists a little to show he had the power. "Alas I am difficult. I do not even know how to comprehend myself." He shrugged slightly. Contemplating what to do, he pushed his nose in the crook of her neck and breathed softly.
He was unsure really, although he had never let on before he really didn't know what to do. He was enjoying taunting her and holding her against her will but he was stumped now. He did feel something towards her and that made him confused. The whole turn of the tables had knocked him really. He felt like he should kiss her. But he knew that now she would just get all mad and push him away. Pulling his head back he smirked at the idea. Sure he didnt want to upset her but he wanted to know how she would react. Turning her body to his he captured her lips with his and kissed her roughly.

She was slightly irritated with the situation but did her best to control the situation. There were many things in this world she had understood and she was hoping that for once it would be nice. The fact of the matter was, as much as he thought he was getting under her skin, it was all but an act. As she had been brilliantly trained to play certain roles. She had learned how to play certain roles efficiantly, given how she had grown up and in the time she had grown up in. Women were expected to play a certain role. To let the men dominate them. To be the submissive partners. But that was not the kind of woman she was. No, she was fierce and a fighter too. She was not going to hit him again no matter how much he was tempting her....she couldn’t move enough to do anything anyway. She knew he would have retaliated against her if she tried. It was not a lenient sort of move to hold someone like her a prisoner for any length of time but she was not using even half of her physical strength when she had squirmed like that. But she knew he liked it. She could tell by his reaction.
“Alexander, you don’t have any idea what I’m capable of. It may not be everything that you are, but you do not scare me. I’ve seen far more dangerous men. Men who have done worse than just holding me prisoner, and I’ve killed for less. There is nothing I have ever said or done that I have truly regretted so go ahead give me your best shot. I’m not going to watch my tone, or my words. I speak my mind and if you can’t handle that then you can just let me be on my way.” Her Irish accent still apparent. She was not going to deny that there was something between the two, but his laughter was overrated. She rolled her eyes when he chuckled at her.
“It does not matter. You have no feelings, Alexander. Neither do I...not when it comes to this. There is nothing you can say or do that will make me think otherwise. It is not my intention to make you doubt yourself. You can do that all on your own. I am not sour. I undestood a long time ago that men are not to be trusted. You’ve just shown me what that reason is...to make the chose effectively clear. I knew about the blood, Alexander. You forget I’m a vampire too. My pedestal? Please if anyone thinks they’re on a pedestal, it would be you. You think you’re all that. Because you’re not. What makes you think I’m attracted to you? If anything I think it would be the other way around since you’re the one that’s holding me against my will.” She stated in a simple matter of fact tone, one that stood for defiance and determination. Both she did not regret showing.
She lowered her tone just as he had. “Oh no. It’s quite possible I assure you. You’re just too cocky to believe it. Though your cockiness is sure to get you killed one of these days.” She was quite a difficult woman to please, had been even as a human, now as a vampire it was only worse. She knew that being in his grasp, she ought to be careful but her temper was running a bit high though her tone did not convey that. She did not like the fact that she was still being held prisoner. He was arrogant, and apparently a know it all too. She knew he could kill her but he had promised he wouldn’t. And she would do the same, should he keep his promise. “Well you had better decide and fast. I’m not someone you want to anger. I have connections in very high places.” She knew she ought not to do it but she had already stated it and there was no going back now. “I’m certainly feisty but I don’t generally overstep my mark as I make my own rules therefore, I have nothing left to lose. You just think you own anyone you want and therefore they have to follow you...no matter where you go. And that is where you are mistaken. It’s clear to see why you’re still alone, just like you were when we first met.” It was true that he was difficult but she could be just as difficult. “It doesn’t take much to comprehend you. You haven’t changed a bit. I have. That makes it different. You just can’t see things the way that others can. But I am as old as you are, and I won’t be talked down to simply because I happen to be a woman.” She was fiercely independant in that sense.
Her stubbornness was getting the best of her but she could feel it as he breathed softly on her neck. It was something she was unsure of what to make of it. The only one who had ever gotten this close was dead, had been for over three thousand years. She had never known a vampire to have held her like this without wanting something. And although she hadn’t shown her full strength she was sure it would be futile to try it now. She had been able to sense how he had enjoyed taunting her and holding her against her will. She was stumped though as she didn’t quite understand what she was truly feeling at the moment. It was like the tables had been turned and not in her favor for once. When suddenly she was turned to face him...she was unable to comprehend what was about to happen. Suddenly his lips were on hers and she didn’t know what to think. It was rough of course, something she recalled from their first encounter. It was not passionate, but rough. And she didn’t mind it. She couldn’t stop him though as she knew that even if she pulled away that could anger him and so she was going to make him think she enjoyed it. Better to play it off that way than to anger someone who was as old and difficult as she was. There was a certain spark between the two of them, and it was like she was—for the first time in her long life magnatized towards him. A fact she did not completely understand. As much as she had struggled when he had kissed her....there was not a point to it. He had all the power now, and she wanted him to still think she accepted that.

Alex's temper was wavering, he was mastering it carefully. He had already made a promise not to hurt her and he had to keep to it. He showed none of his anger in his expression, he was keeping it under wraps for when she really pushed the mark. And the way she was going it looked like it was going to be soon. They really were so ridiculously alike. She was infuriating, but he was also. It was like they both liked to push each others buttons. He was playing the game but she was dishing it right back out.
"Lets just agree to disagree on that one. I may not scare you now but there will come a time." He yawned sarcastically. "Yes you have killed many people, I gathered that. I have also killed many people but I do not go about using it as a basis of an argument. I have also told you I would not hurt you. I keep my promises." It was getting a lot harder for him to keep the promise now. "You think that I will let you get away after striking me like that. Just let you off scot free. Your attitude is much to be desired."
His laughter was a whole new kind of laughter. It was an angry laughter. Sure he was big headed, he knew that. He did not need silly blonde women telling him that. To him she was acting like a sour ex girlfriend and she would always be sour in his view. "I don't think I am all that. I am all that. But you also are exactly the same. Your thinking is close to my own. Please don't flatter yourself. I have you here bound to me because of what you did. I am merely deciding what to do to you. Not because I am attracted to you."
"Perhaps so, But I wont die without taking someone with me." He shrugged off his death. He knew that perhaps one day it would happen but he was not worried. He would try his dammed best to take them with him. He laughed hysterically at her. "Do you think I am someone that you should anger? As for your connections, you can already gather that from the presence of the guards around you I too have a lot of connections." He was amused by her audacity.
"You have already overstepped the mark with your smart mouth. I know I do not own everyone. I am not stupid. I am alone as I chose to be not because I can't find someone. Whereas you are alone because nobody would want to be with you." He narrowed his eyes. She must be truly feeling brave. Alex was getting angrier by the second. Her words had no effect on him but he was angered by the way she was speaking to him and the way she thought it was okay to talk to him like that.
His kiss was getting rougher. There was some sort of passion in the kiss but he was more releasing his anger towards her. He twisted her round so she was now on the ground, he still had her pinned by the arms his body heavy on top of hers.

Her own temper was hard to keep under control. She had already promised she would not hit him again but he was pushing his luck with what he was doing. She was not someone to be pushed around, and ordered around like some kind of slave girl. It was rediciulous how alike the two of them were. This could get dangerous and fast. They were both insanely infuriating to the other, but it was like they could push eachother’s buttons and to a certain extent get away with it. They could play this game for eternity. Whenever one of them threw something at the other, the other could dish it right back which was amusing, more so now than ever before. It was exciting too.
“Fine. But there is nothing you can do to truly scare me. I’ve faced death more than once, since I’ve been a vampire and that doesn’t even scare me. Nothing does.” She rolled her eyes with his statement of not letting her go. “It’s not an arguement Alexander, it is a fact. Simple as that. Only you would turn it into an arguement. I never said let me off scot free, I just said to at least let me go. Doesn’t mean I’d run off. And I won’t strike you again. I gave you my word on that. Your attitude is no different than mine, Alexander. You seem to think you know me, but you really don’t.” It was getting harder for her to keep calm at this point but she was mastering it carefully. It was quite hard to resist what he was saying as part of it was somewhat accurate. She had hit him, and therefore did deserve punishment. But she couldn’t help but think that there was something else there. There was no way to truly define it. She smirked as she looked at him. Knowing he wasn’t telling the whole truth.
She rolled her eyes as he had laughed. It sounded angry but anger was something she was used to when it came to men. As sour as this situation seemed to be, he was still as arrogant as she could recall. And in that sense he would always appear to be the arrogant ex-boyfriend type in her mind. Something of which was similar to what she had once had when she was human, with Aiden. That of course was potentially a dangerous factor given what Aiden had done to her in the end. Granted he got what he deserved. When he said he was all that she chuckled, this time with the full, darker Irish chuckle that she had been known for, what had scared her victims with. Not that she was trying to scare him but nevertheless she couldn’t stop herself. “That’s probably why we don’t see eye to eye, Alexander. It’s why you can’t stop yourself from acting out your anger on me, and why we keep pushing eachother’s buttons. We’re too alike for our own good. You can decide what you want to do all you want, but it won’t do you any good or get you any favors in the end.” She told him in a simple matter of fact tone, the darkness did not appear in her tone the way it had when she had laughed. “Good at least we have one thing to agree on that we are not attracted to eachother.” The Irish accent came a little stronger than she had anticipated. But it did not matter.
“If I were to die, I’d not go down without a fight. I’d take whomever I could right along with me.” She had protected her own self first and foremost then she would worry about whatever allies remained. “Yes well a few guards have nothing to do with it. Their presence is nothing I haven’t seen or heard of before. I know which group they belong to, the Volturi. I know them. It wasn’t a threat, for once, Alexander. So don’t get so offensive.” She smirked as she said it. He seemed to get offended easily.
“Doesn’t matter. I overstep my mark all the time if you will. I have no one to report to. I chose to be alone after what I had seen. I don’t need a partner. I never have. I’ve lived this long without needing someone by my side, and I’ve turned out just fine. I don’t care whether someone wants to be with me or not. I’ve accepted that this is my life. I don’t need a man, in my life. I never said you were stupid, Alexander. Quit twisting my words about. Open your ears and actually listen to me for once. Instead of just hearing what it is you want to hear.” She knew this was going to get her into some kind of trouble but it did not matter. Her tone proved how angry she was getting and this time she could not control it. She did not care how he reacted to it, because they were both about the same age. If he had been so much older than she was she probably would have respected the authority in that regard, but since he was not she was going to remain as the indpendent and fiesty young vampire that she was. She had forgotten what it was like to be human, to have feelings and to care about someone other than herself. She'd never felt like this before. But she knew there was a connection between them.
The kiss that he was forcing her to be involved in was something different altogether. There was a hint of passion in it but most of it was pent up anger that he was needing released. Before she knew it, she was on the ground, with his strong masculine body on top of hers. There was no resisting, it was futile to try. She squirmed from underneath him knowing this was probably what he was counting on. She did not like being trapped no matter what the reason was. Before she realized what was happening, before she had a chance to stop herself she was kissing him back. As before that very moment he was the one doing all the work. Her thoughts were scattered to the wind as she felt the intense connection between the two of them. Oh how she wanted her arms free. The truth was she wasn’t sure that even if her arms were free if she would try and push him away or let him have the free reign he was clearly enjoying at the given moment. Still his kisses though the anger that was involved, there was an excitement to it and she couldn’t help but enjoy herself in the moment. It was as though she didn’t want it to stop. She was excited, and he was good at it. She didn’t remember it being like that last time. This was so much better. She was still squirming from underneath him but continued to let him kiss her and to return the kisses with as much passion and emotion as he was giving off.
“He’s good, I’ll admit that...not vocally of course but....there is something between us...we seem to push eachother’s boundaries....pushing eachother’s buttons only to dish out exactly what the other gives out. There has to be a reason. But what? Is he truly denying what is going on here? Or am I the only one who sees it? What is this I’m feeling? An attraction perhaps? To him?! Is that even possible? Why am I enjoying this so much?” She thought to herself once her thoughts became her own again. She was loving every moment of it. Which was odd since before this moment she had thought all of her emotions had died the day she was turned.

Alex wasn't even going to answer her anymore. She was more predictable than she thought. He knew exactly what she was like. She was a female version of him and he knew exactly what he was like so he didnt need for her to give him some silly story that she had been spouting for the past couple of minutes. Again and again. He was sick of hearing it to be honest. She constantly went on about how she had been alive for so long and killed so many people and seen so many things. To be honest he didnt want her life story and he didnt care at all about what she was saying. She was just an irritating thorn in his spine at the minute. He was even questioning why he had taken it this far and continued to hold her against her will. It seemed like he would have less of a headache if he let her go. It was a very tempting idea but something in im was telling him to keep a hold of her.
"I do not need any favors. If I need something done I will do it myself." He licked his teeth, his cool mask slipping slightly. He only ever licked his teeth when he was annoyed. "They happen to be my sons guards. And he has commanded them to stay by my side and attack if I need it." He smirked slightly. He had been a little uneasy about having a babysitter follow him around but he had grown to ignore them over the past few days. They were however very helpful when he needed them to be. He was impressed by how loyal they were to his son, and in turn to him. But he did not need their help. He could look after himself. But in this case it was good to know that he had someone that had his back against this crazy woman that he held in his arms.
"Open your ears and actually listen to me for once. Instead of just hearing what it is you want to hear.” Her insolence showed no ends. Her mouth was far too big for her own good. His eyes narrowed and he looked dead at her. He did not allow anyone to speak to him like that, and she was no exception to that rule. Especially not now. After everything she had already said to him. He wasn't feeling very lenient at this point. "You have went to far little girl." He hissed. Before he knew it he was kissing her. He had done it to piss her off more and show him who was boss. He grabbed both of her hands with one of his in a crushing grip. His other hand grabbing her chin, his kiss still rough even for a vampire.
He was mad, the maddest he had ever been. This was a new way to let go of his anger. Rough passionate kissing. If he had had his way he would have had his way with her too but he would not force himself upon her. He would wait for her to ask. His grip was rough on her chin, keeping her face flush against his. His body was still pressing against hers, pinning her to the ground with ease. His tongue invading her mouth. He wanted to make her see that he was a great lover. Make her take back every nasty thing she had said. He was going to make her see. His kiss was becoming increasingly passionate as it was rough.

She knew when she had overstepped her boundaries but she had been too predictable and that was not going to work. They were far too much alike for their own good. It made her wonder if that’s why they argued too easily? She had repeated the same thing way too much, as she had replayed their run in this time, over in her mind. Silence was better now. But still she wasn’t planning on giving him what he wanted. To be honest she didn’t care about what he had done in the past, it was in the past. Simple as that. He was more irritating than a blasted human could be. And that was saying something as if he were in fact human he wouldn’t still be alive but this was different. She was questioning herself about why he still held her there in his arms. It made no sense of course, but only time could tell what he was going to do. Frustrations were starting to build within her but she did her best to keep it all carefully concealed. “Fine.” She replied with her Irish accent, and left it at that. There was no point in arguing with someone who was as stubborn as he was if not more so.
She couldn’t help but squirm as she did not like being held against her will. She could sense how annoyed he was of course. “Of course.” Was the only answer she could give, though the accent was still there, when he stated who the guards were, it registered exactly who she was dealing with. This was not good. She had crossed too much of a line. She knew that Aro would most likely hear about it from him, if not from one of his guards. Her face showed no reaction when he had stated who it was that the guards’ belonged to as she was careful about revealing any kind of major emotion. Especially when she knew she had done something she ought not to have. She knew of the guards’ loyalty to Aro which of course was important, but the fact she had not only hit Aro’s sire, and had well run her mouth more than she probably should. She knew she would never hear the end of it. If Aro even let her live when it was all said and done. Sh wasn’t afraid of death though, as death comes even to vampires, though they were harder to kill. She knew she could be considered a lot of things, including crazy, difficult, stubborn and above all, insolent...which she never rejected any of those concepts.
Naturally she realized after she had said what she had said about listening to her, it had of course showed him how insolent she could actually be and seconds later, she knew his leniency was at it’s end when his mouth was on top of hers. She could feel his crushing grip as one of his hands had both of hers bound to the ground, and if she had been human bones would have been broken. But alas she was not. Of course due to her strength it hadn’t hurt much. She was much stronger than she had appeared but was allowing things to happen. She did not resist it when he had pushed her on the ground, and had been on top of her. She also felt one of his hands grabbing her chin, knowing that what she was experiancing was a rough kiss even for two vampires. She was angry too, but she did not show it. There was no need. She knew she was in for it now. She had not resisted when his tounge entered her mouth invading it in the way he was. Despite it all, it was very complicated. She didn’t understand what she was feeling in this moment. Part of her was completely angry and part of her understood this could be seen as one of two things, either they were really feeling something for one another or taking out their agression on eachother. It could also be partly both of those things.
With his masculine body on top of hers, she could feel the strength in everything he did, not just with keeping her pinned below him but also in the way he kissed her. But although she understood that maybe she had crossed a line, so had he. There was nothing stopping him from doing whatever it was that he wanted to now. Even though she could resist the kisses, even if she had wanted to, it wouldn’t have mattered. So reluctantly she found herself kissing him back. She was enjoying it, though she was still angry. It was a complicated type of thing and she didn’t entirely understand it, nor did she really want to. It would give her a headache, if she were still human.
"I really don't know what to make of this, or of him. We're too much alike. I know he's angry I can feel it but....there's something else there too. But the question is what? How long am I going to be held like some kind of prisoner? Is it possible I'm enjoying this a little too much? I can't....even understand how we went from arguing to.....well this." She thought to herself. The kisses seemed to go on forever, it was though it was never going to end and for once she had no problem with that. She was going to keep moving forward as best she could in this moment, and keep her thoughts to herself as she knew that she had crossed a line. And the line she had crossed was not a good one. Not by a long shot. She only hoped at the end of it, when it was all said and done, her head would still be attached to her body. She wasn't ready to die yet, though she would accept it if it were to happen.

He was glad she had finally gave in and stopped talking. Now he could let his anger run its course in his kisses and leave her in one piece. He had seen some sort of emotion when he had told her about the guards. He knew she knew his son. Most vampires did, in fact almost every vampire alive did. But he was no snitch. What happened between then happened between them and he would inform the guards as such. Sure she had pushed over the mark and slapped him but he wasnt going to see her be killed for it. He knew that Aro would not take to kindly to her behavior but he was not going to tell him.
She had done what she had to do in the situation and it was over with. This was a huge step for Alex. Letting something go without any punishment. He was angry, but something inside of him was preventing him from hurting her. Even when she had spoke her last insolent words. She was feisty and he did not understand what he seen in her but there was something there. Some form of connection that brought him up short. A connection that made him refuse to hurt her no matter how angry he got. It was a bond that he did not comprehend in the slightest and made him very nervous. He didn't know what it was or what he was doing. It was like everything that he had done around her he had no control over.
He felt her kiss him back and grinned slightly. He had been rough, there was no denying it but the anger seemed to sap from him and he found himself being a lot more gentle. He was still kissing her but his tough grip on her wrists had slackened and his hand on her jaw had dropped. He was even considering letting her arms go. But he was unsure exactly how she would react. She could have gotten away now if she wanted. His grip was so lose she could wriggle out of his grasp without even thinking about it. The last obstacle would be getting his body off of hers.
He was enjoying their kiss. Perhaps a little too much. She had made him so angry, but it had turned into passion rather than violence. That prospect made him wary. How could she have made him like this? What was special about her? And why was his body and brain point blank refusing to hurt her even after everything she had said and done. There was just something in those eyes of her that drew him in and captivated him. He had never understood love. Not even like. He knew that he loved his son. He was proud of Aro and would do anything for him. It was a father/son bond that they shared. But he did not know what sort of bond him and katherine shared. He didn't even know how to label what they were doing right now. Truth be told Alex was confused, more so than he had ever been before. But he was enjoying it.

It was strange being in this kind of situation. She had shut up because there was nothing more to say. Nothing worth saying that is. She couldn’t very well threaten his life when he was connected to the very man she was loyal to, Aro Volturi. She was sure she was going to be killed for her insolence but she had always been very insolent, something that no matter how old she got, it would probably never change. Knowing Aro for this....she would either be killed or forced to do something she didn’t want to be doing. Either option would not be pleasant. Of course some part of her hoped that what happened here would stay between the two of them, of course knowing the guards, it probably would not be likely. She knew without a shadow of a doubt that Aro of course would not take too kindly to what she had said and done, towards his father, but in all honesty she hadn’t known he was Aro’s father and if she had known she might have treated the sitaution with a bit more respect. In most circumstances, what she had done was qualified for a lot of things, torture....or even a beheading and her body burned to the point of ash. Neither option was a pleasant one.
Something had stopped her from being angry at the moment. Yes in part she was upset because she was forced to be restrained but she did kind of deserve it, even if she would never cop to it. He was just as difficult as she was, and yet despite the insolance that she had stated before, there had been a connection. Something even she didn’t entirely understand. A connection that she knew was something she had never felt before. She no longer wanted to hurt him. In fact some part of her felt remorse for having done so, and that was a feeling she hadn’t dealt with for a very long time. Though she kept her emotions hidden from view due to the severity of the situation that the two were in. This.....bond between them was something that she did not understand, not in the slightest. If anything it only made her feel more nervous than learning that he was in fact Aro’s father. And that was saying something as she rarely ever felt nervous. Not about anything. So this was a new feeling that she was experiancing alongside the remorse. What a strange sensation it was too. It was like she had no control over anything at all, not her words, not her actions. It was as though she was seeing and doing everything but that someone else had control over her if that had made any sense at all. Which she knew it didn’t. Nothing since meeting up with him had made a bit of sense.
She could tell that he had enjoyed it when she had kissed him back. She had known that he had been rough with it, and there was no denying it. She could sense the anger also disappearing between the two. She had to admit she was slightly relieved when he went from being the aggressive vampire he had been, to suddenly a bit more gentle. It was something she did not quite understand but she wasn’t going to question it. She knew that she could easily get away now if she wanted to but something told her not to. Part of her didn’t want to get out from under him. Though she knew she should. She still squirmed underneath him but it was more to be comfortable than out of anything else. The real issue would be to get out from under him, but that would take some convincing she was sure.
When it was all said and done she was enjoying this kiss. This time with him. It was nothing like that the last time they were alone—or even somewhat alone with one another. She was really enjoying it and it was kind of scary in a sense as he had made her so angry. So willing to rip his head off and yet here she was enjoying an intimate kiss with him. How was it with all the things in her head did she find that she did not want to hurt him, to hit him again....she was now at the point of not wanting to hurt him. Of not wanting to ever hurt him again. There was something in the way he looked at her, in those eyes of his, and in the way he was not hurting her even for her insolence, that drew her to him like a moth to a flame. She was captivated by him, in every sense of the word.
To be honest she had never understood love. Not the kind of love between couples. Sure she had known that her sisters had loved her, but it had been a bond that could never be replicated even after all this time. Aside from that, she had never had a traditional Irish upbringing. There was no loving family to come home to. It was why when her sisters died, she had honestly though that her capability of loving someone or something was as dead as they were. The only thing she did know was that she didn’t even have an idea of how to explain this bond she felt for Alex, and what it was meant to be. There was no definitive label for what it was that the two of them were in the process of doing. All she knew was that she hadn’t wanted it to end. As passionate and fiery as it had been, it had also had it’s just rewards. But it was also absolutely confusing and almost terrifying in all honesty. There were moments where she did not understand what she was getting herself into. Where did they go from here? Did that mean they were a couple now, or was it going to once again be something similiar to what had happened on the first night they met? She hoped it wasn’t another one of those kinds of events as she would rather not have to repeat what had already happened between them as it were.

After what felt like an eternity, Alex pulled away from her. Letting go of her arms and sitting back on his knees he studied her for a little while. He was speechless in essence. He knew he had just kissed her for a very long time and had been gentle with her but he didnt know why. He was confused as she was to tell the truth. He had no idea what he had just done and what it meant. Normally Alex was very sure of himself, he studied things at far before acting. But in this situation he had just threw himself into it and hoped for the best. But he was unsure if he had done the best. He had no idea what she was going to do or say now.
Rubbing the back of his head he looked at her softly. If she hit him, then again he did deserve it. But this time he would just let her go. He would take his guards and leave. He really did not know what to say to her, he just sat there and looked her over. His eyes traveled from her eyes down to where he was sitting and back. He had acted less than what he normally would. He could be horrible but he had never forced himself upon someone. He felt slightly guilty in a way but he could not deny the bond between them and the fact she had kissed him back.
She had kissed him back. His eyes light up a bit. He hadn't fully taken everything in yet, he was still in shock at his actions. But she had kissed him back. Sure she had been squirming a bit but she was not pushing him off or refusing to kiss him. She had actually kissed him back, and she had looked like she enjoyed it. This gave Alex a little bit of happiness. But he was still unsure what she was going to say. He licked his lips, and then resulted in biting his lip. He did not want to speak. He wanted to see what she was going to do before he said anything. Not that he knew what to say.
Still biting his lip, he placed both hands on each knee and continued to sit there. He was not afraid of her. If she was going to do anything then he would be able to defend himself. But something in him was telling him she wouldn't do anything rash. Especially not now.

It felt like it had been a lifetime, more than the entire time she had been alive that they had been there, kissing eachother. She felt somewhat of a relief when he had finally let her go, but part of her did not want him to. She could not explain the feeling in which she was feeling. It made no sense to her. It was like for the first time in her life as a vampire that she needed to breathe, which was a complicated feeling since she didn’t have to breathe like humans did. There was so much going through her mind that to put it all into words was going to be difficult if not impossible.
It was an impossible situation to be in. How did they get from arguing with eachother to suddenly kissing eachother with the kind of passion and anger that had been there? What did it even mean anyway, if it meant anything at all. It had felt an eternity that he had been on top of her, restraining her while they were kissing. She was as confused as she was sure that he was. Though it had gone from a sort of anger, to passion and finally he was gentle with her before letting her go. What was going on between them? She had no idea. She knew she had to do something but the question was what? What could she do now that she hadn’t already done? She knew she couldn't hit him.
Once he had let her go, she couldn’t help but rising until she was sitting up. She looked over at him. As the memory of what had happened when they had just met played through her mind and then this last memory seeping into her mind. It was different, something was different with how it had happened. She did not want to hit him. She had actually enjoyed kissing him, which was something that altogether left her confused. She did not immediately see anything other than him once she was able to look around. The fact was something had truly changed and there was nothing she could do to change that, not that she wanted to. She never acted like this usually. It was as though she was back to being this foolish teenager she had once been. Part of her was happy about it, to have someone that made her feel like that, but it was also equally as terrifying. There was a million things going through her mind as she looked at him, in her heart she knew that there was something between them, some bond that she could not truly understand, it was like there was an invisable strand pulling them towards eachother instead of running in the opposite directions. It had been proven in the fact that when he had kissed her that she had kissed him back. And why she had done that, she wasn’t sure. She just knew that she was feeling something towards him and had let the feelings lead to where it had. She had thought those feelings had all but died when her sisters had been brutally killed but clearly that had not been the case.
They had just been dormant until this very moment. There was a light in her eyes that hadn’t been there in over three thousand years. There had been enjoyment in what they had done, she could feel it. She hadn’t fully comprehended yet what it meant, of why they were drawn so close to eachother and yet they had argued before it even happened. The truth was she had enjoyed the kissing. No one had gotten as close to her as Alex had, in her entire lifetime without her in the end killing them. And in a sense she knew it was different with him but she couldn’t explain why that was. She had not been able to think clearly with him kissing her, but she had kissed him back for a reason. She had surprisingly not pushed him off or to refuse the advances, which led to them kissing in the first place. She had been happy in those brief moments when they were kissing. And she had not felt like that in a very long time. She was unsure of what to say or how to start a conversation now. But something had to be said didn’t it? She had watched as he bit his lip, clearly he was as unsure of all of this as she was.
She sat there for a few minutes before rising to her feet. She watched him as she stood up, as she did not want him to think that he was going to get hit. He wasn’t. She could sense he was quite a fighter, much like she was, and that in turn they could each defend themselves should the other attack. But something in her was telling her that he wouldn’t...just like she wouldn’t attack him. She wouldn’t do anything rash, especially now now. She took a few careful steps closer to him before sitting down in front of him. She liked the idea of actually being close to him, surprisingly.
They were now in close proximity closer than they had been only moments before he’d let her go. “Wow. But what just happened exactly? I mean one moment we’re arguing and the next.....we’re....kissing. So that only leaves one question exactly. You and I both know how stubborn we both are...we’re too alike for our own good. But what do we do now? I haven’t....felt like that since I was very young...it was like I was a teenager all over again.” She said quietly, she couldn’t help it. She had to break the ice somehow though she was unsure how he was feeling, and even more so how she was feeling. She only hoped this wouldn’t turn around and end badly. That she’d have regrets when it was all said and done. As right then she didn’t have any regrets at all she just wanted to know where it left them now. They’d only been reunited a short while and then all this happened, he was definitely different than she remembered him being but then again so was she. Three thousand years had clearly changed them both in more ways than either one of them saw coming. Was it destined that they were supposed to have separated the way they did only to reunite now and if so what did it mean? All she knew was she was still captivated by him, entranced by what had happened between them.

He must have been quite a sight to look at, just sitting there blankly watching her carefully. He was quite shaken by the feelings he was feeling. He had never really felt before. Not in this way. And it had turned him into a very handsome statue. He didn't blink he just sat there trying to figure out some sort of reasonable explanation for what was going on and what he had just done. This was not Alex. He was not like this. He was a sour faced, hard hart-ed bastard. He cared for one person in the world and that was his son. He was incapable of any feelings. Incapable of anything. But what just happened showed that that was a lie. He did feel. He did care.
As she moved away from him he sat back on his bum and frowned. When she sat back beside him and spoke his head shot up to look her in the eye. He was in full vampire mode right now, all fast movements and little control. He just didnt understand. He had no control. And he didnt like it. He had done everything in his entire life on his own terms. He controlled everything and for it all to go out the window so quickly it was pretty worrying. He was becoming the same human he was when he had fallen for that girl.
He licked his lips and cleared his throat, going to speak. "I dont know." He spoke with a croak. He nodded acknowledging everything she had just said. "I can not explain it. I do not understand. You bring out a part of me I have no control over. A part that I do not know anything about." He frowned and looked to his hands. He wasnt as emotional as he thought he was being. He was infact just being a brooding vampire with a rather confused look on his face. But inside he was an emotional mess. He just didnt know what was going on.
"Feelings..." He almost spat the word. He couldnt believe that he was going to tell her he had feelings. He just didnt know who he was anymore. He looked up to her, his red eyes burning bright. "Do you...? I mean How do you feel?" He looked at her his eyebrows raised.

The fact of the matter was, something had happened and there was no denying it. He was handsome, she would give him that. There was no reasonable explaination for it. She knew it. There was no way to describe the feeling that she had. It had been intense, and something she was not used to. Hadn’t felt this way since she was human...since Aiden. She was not normally the sour one. She was used to getting what she wanted, when she wanted it. Nothing more nothing less. She was not a caring woman. Hadn’t been since Aiden broke her heart and ripped it right out of her chest, metephorically. She did not think she was capable of having any feelings at all. She hadn’t in such a long time that to realize she did...that the dormant feelings were coming back, was almost too much to handle. She did feel, she did care about someone other than herself...she cared about him.
When he looked back at her. She felt the world closing in around them, as though there were no one else around. It was as though it were just the two of them. There were no guards. No one else. Just him...and her...alone. She had no control in this situation and she was used to having all the control. Depending on no one to suddenly feeling like she did as a teenager, dependant upon someone else. Everything that had been controlled was suddenly gone. It had all been thrown out of the window. She felt like she should worry. She felt like she was the same human who had fallen in love with someone and had gotten her heart broken. Although unbeating it still held the same impact as she had when she had been human. A fragile little human with a heart that could be broken.
She cleared her throat, trying to speak although words were becoming harder to form. “Nor do I...” Her voice was struggling to get the words out. She nodded, acknowledging everything that had happened. It had all happened too fast. If she had been human her head would have been spinning in a thousand different directions. “I can’t either. You bring out something in me, that....I thought had died a long time ago. I haven’t felt like this in I can’t even count how long....not since I was a human. Which is more than a few thousand years in the past.” She spoke in a quiet sort of way. It took a lot to make her this quiet. The truth was she was like an emotional mess. Something of which a brooding vampire like herself was unknown to. She did not know what was going on. Or how best to handle this certain situation. She didn’t know what to make of the way to describe it. “I don’t know...but what I do know is that I’m drawn to you. You push my buttons....and yet it’s like I cannot stop myself....you know in most cases I would not have tolerated what had happened between us. I wouldn’t have as easily given in, but with you there’s.....I don’t know something different....most anyone else who tried what you did would have been executed by now. But you....I don’t think I have it in me to even try. I cannot put it into words exactly what it means...I hit you once, and normally I would not have thought twice about it....but I wish I hadn’t....you hadn’t really deserved that...after as much time that has passed. But it is something that won’t happen again. I can promise you that. And when I make a promise, I keep them.” Her bright red eyes looked at him as she had spoken it. She felt like she was a lost teenager, curious and yet not as in control as she was used to being.

She seemed just as confused as he did, so that put him at ease a little. He was glad that she also felt the connection he did. If he had been alone in this he could never have shown his face to her again. He had shown a side of him that never existed. One that even he did not know existed. He had a reputation to keep and he couldnt have people running round thinking he was a softy. He hoped that if this didnt go the way it was looking it would that she would not tell anyone. He would have to consider that option too. If this did not go well what would he do? He wouldn't be able to hurt her himself but if it came to it in order to protect himself he might have to get someone to take care of her. But he had a good feeling it was not going to go wrong.
"So.. where does that leave us? What are we?" They both had feelings but he didn't know if they were in a relationship or not. "Like you said, I feel the same. I can not hurt you. Even with everything you have done today." He frowned softly but continued to look at her. He wanted to see her eyes, wanted to see everything that she was feeling. Her eyes were the gateway to her soul, just like his was. He could hide it sometimes but it was just not one of those times. He could not hide his emotion from his eyes at this point.
"Are we together? Mates?" He did not know if he should ask her or not. He really just wanted to know exactly what she felt. He didnt want to completely let everything out without knowing her stance first. He had a lot to say, a lot of deep feelings to share but he never had the chance to share with anyone. He was still nervous if he could trust her or not. But even if they were together he would still be very cautious. Very over bearing and jealous. It was just who he was.
Since his female mate, he would be unable to have any new mates around other males. He knew in himself the sort of person he would be if he entered into a relationship. He could not risk being hurt again.

There was no way to describe how to feel, what she should be thinking. She had been feeling something but she wasn’t quite sure how to describe it. She was glad that it seemed like she wasn’t the only one that was feeling it. She knew that Alexander was not a softy. In the time that she had known him he was anything but soft. He was strong....and dominating and that was something she liked about him. Always had. She had known that he had shown a side most did not see around her, and that was what she had shown him as normally she was a killer, plain and simple. Nothing more, nothing less. Around him it had been very different and she still had no idea what to make of it. All she knew was that she didn’t want to hurt him. She couldn’t. She wouldn’t share that he was a softy, because it would mean that she was one too and she couldn’t have that.
She had a reputation that she could not damage. It was who she was. It was the heart of who she was in the end. She was frustrated as she was unsure what to do. If it did not go well, between them, what could she do? As she could not bring herself to kill him. Or to hurt him in any way, shape or form, and she was sure that he couldn’t hurt her either. But she had the sense that everything would be alright. “Right where we are, I suppose.” Her eyes turned to face him, still sitting close to him. She liked being in close proximity to him. “That’s a good question, what are we, exactly? Friends...or more than that?” She had hoped it would be more than that, but she wasn’t going to just blurt it all out. She truly didn’t know if they were in a relationship or not. She wanted to believe that they were. She had to believe it as it was the only thing that seemed to make sense in all of this chaos.
“Yeah, and I have to say...I normally don’t apologize for what I’ve done but in this case I feel like I should...that I have to. So I’m sorry for hitting you, and for my...lack of control, when it comes to how I spoke to you, before.” Her eyes now seemed to be locked on his as she was trying to read the connection, and what it meant. There was emotion inside of her that was showing in her eyes, something she couldn’t hide, especially not from him as he brought out something others couldn’t. She took a deep unneeded breath as she looked at Alexander. She didn’t know how to answer the question of whether they were together or if they were mates, without knowing how he felt about it. There was a whole lot of pent up feelings that she was willing to share with him as she had never shared anything like that with anyone else, not even Aiden. “I would like to think that we are, though it...that’s something I’d like to hear from you. I’d like to be your mate, but I know that it’s not going to be easy as we both have been through alot, when it comes to trusting others....all I know is what I feel right now. And that is....I’m right where I’m supposed to be, if that makes any sense. I feel like...I’ve been waiting for this....for you, for as long as I’ve....been alive....do you understand what I mean?” She was curious as she found herslf moving to sit right next to him. So that they were in arm’s length from one another. She was nervous, without a shadow of a doubt. Trust was something they would have to build over time, and time was what they both seemed to have an endless amount of. The fact was she had never gone looking for a mate, since she had been turned. It just never seemed to be something she needed at the time, now she knew why. She’d never met anyone like Alex, not in her three thousand plus years of life. She did not want to be hurt again but she was putting herself out there, to put her unbeating heart out there for him to take hold of if he wanted to. It was his choice. The ball was in his court now. “I’ll do whatever you want me to do...I’ll do anything I have to, as long as I don’t get hurt again....I’ve been hurt too many times to....go through it again. I won’t.” Her red eyes were ablaze. She just didn’t know how this would affect how she hunted since most of her targets wer actually males to begin with. But if he was anything like she was, he wouldn’t want her anywhere near them. Just like she wouldn’t want him to be anywhere around other females...until their bond grew stronger at least and they could learn to trust eachother wholeheartedly. Which would take time.
