Alex had thought it through. His ridiculously intelligent brain had been whirling ever since they had agreed to be mates. This was why he learnt so easily. He could take one thing and make a million scenarios from it. When they had agreed to be mates it had already set the ball rolling. I'll need to learn to be romantic. I'll need to buy her gifts and appreciate her. I'll open my heart and let her in. I'll give her everything she wants. I'll protect her and care for her. All of these things whirling around. And then bringing her back to the house and them talking opened up a whole other door of possibilities.
But he wanted this. He was serious and he wanted this. For too long he had been lonely. He had been missing something in his life and that was love. But now that he had found her, he knew already in the short space of time that it would make his life better. He was already so much happier. He no longer felt alone. Having her here in the house with him would be the biggest change for him but he already knew how he would go about it. He had it all planned out. But his plans would vary with Katherine. He had tested the water and laid out a structure but it would be entirely up to her how she would enjoy to play it out.
"Of course, I will give you the grand tour. You can see what is here to offer and then can tell me what you need in order to make it more suited to you and more like our home." He smiled at her softly. It was strange that in a matter of a couple of hours, he was now a complete softie. She had melted his heart and was now holding it in her hands. He returned her kisses tenderly and laughed softly when she said they would not have to sleep.
He was anxious for her answer but knew he had to learn to be patient. When she agreed his whole face light up. He was happier than he had ever been before. "Thank You." Reaching in to give her a kiss, he pushed a hand into her hair and pulled her face to his.

In the midst of everything she was learning new things. Things she never thought she would need to know. Information was key of course, and she could learn to make a million different scenario’s through her brain. It was beautiful from the moment they had agreed to be mates until this very moment. It had started the ball going in the right direction, wasn’t it? Her eyes sparkled at him as she wasn’t the overly girly girl. No, all she wanted, was to be loved, to be respected, and desired. Everything seemed to be going through her mind in spades.
It seemed like the more they spoke, the more things seemed to be real. Of all the things she had once believed in, she did not expect to find herself in this very moment. Coming to the house, and him inviting her instantly to move in with him was quite a shock but she had agreed to it. Her unbeating heart told her it was necesary, that it was the only way they were going to be able to move forward with their lives. She had never lived with anyone before. So it would take some getting used to of course.
A trillion different possibilities ran through her mind as she kept a careful watch on the man she loved. She could tell how much he had wanted this, how he was serious about how much he wanted it. And she could see how lonely he was. Even just talking to him today had defined that. Something had always been missing from her life, and she had never known what that was, until now, until him. It was love. Mostly she had been one to practice patience, and now she was not so sure she could continue to do so. She was just glad that it was finally happening for them.
It seemed like everything had happened very fast, and she was surprisingly okay with it. For one thing she had never really found herself in a position like this. It was definitely going to be different but in a good way. “I must say, I’m very excited. Though I don’t think I’d want to change it too much. Maybe just add a few feminine touches...of course. Nothing major.” She grinned as she looked at him. “Our home...I like the sound of that.” She winked at him as it felt complete.
She liked the sound of his laugh of course, it was like music to her ears. The fact of the matter was, his life was more important than her own. His happiness too. After being alone for so many centuries, life just seemed to throw her in the direction of where she was meant to be. She was so much happier than she could have ever believed she could be. If it wasn’t for the fact that vampires don’t sleep, she would have thought she was absolutely dreaming all of this up. “You’re welcome, my love.”
She told him as he had reached in to give her a kiss. She felt herself reach up and kiss him once more. It was as though she couldn’t get enough of him. She was just happy to be with him, and felt her hands reach around his neck as they continued to kiss eachother. After only a few moments she pulled her face away from him though it had felt like an eternity later.
"Never would I have imagined that this would be where we....ended up but I'm glad it did. We don't have to be alone anymore....we can be here..together. We're home...right where we're supposed to be, my love and I wouldn't have it any other way." She grinned as she continued to look into his eyes. Her hands moved back down to her lap as she continued to remain close to him. She would not let anything or anyone take him away from her. Not now that she had found him...and that they had declared their feelings for one another. She had already agreed to move in with him but what was next to happen? She couldn't help but be curious though only because it was in her nature to do so. She trusted Alex, of course, and there were very few vampires she could truly say that about.

Alex had never felt the need to make anyone happy but something in him now wanted him to make Katherine happy. He never wanted her to experience anything like her past before. He wanted to give her a completely new life. One that was full of happiness and love. One that she could have everything she ever desired. In total he just wanted to make her happy. He would struggle at first and he knew himself he would. Only because he had been on his own for so long and was not used to having to account for another person.
"We can completely re-decorate if your heart desired it my love." He smiled softly to her, lightly stroking a hand through her hair. "Yes ours." He whispered.
He had never felt joy like this. Having found a mate and had her move in in less than a day had filled him with happiness that he had never experienced. His smile would not slip, it stuck to his handsome face. His eyes still taking her in, appreciating every inch of her. He was astounded by her beauty, and astounded that she wanted to be with him.
He smiled more as she spoke. "Yes my love, I feel the same. It is such a perfect moment. I could not have asked for more." He pressed a kiss to her forehead, with a slight sigh. He was content.

It wouldn’t take much to make her happy. Not realistically anyway. All it took was the simple things. Sure flowers occassionally were nice but they withered and died. And chocolates were out of the question since they didn’t consume anything but blood. All she really wanted was someone to talk to, someone that would listen to her...and maybe someone she could hunt with on occassion. She never wanted Alex to endure what he had in the past. She wanted to be someone that could light up his world, simply by being with him. She knew that it would not be easy at first as they were both going to have a subtle adjustment period to get used to the way things had changed for both of them. She wanted to help give him an oppertunity for a new life. One where he would never have to question whether or not someone was there for him, truly there for him. She wanted to make it known that she loved him with every fiber of her being and that nothing, no one would ever change that. She would do everything in her power to give him what he desired, whatever that might be. All she cared about was that he was happy, and that they both could be happy together, here in their new home.
It had been new to her as much as it was new to him. She knew this. Of course, but she wanted to make things as smooth of a transition as possible. She was not used to having to account for another individual, no matter who it was. Sure things had changed since she had first moved to Italy but now, more so than ever was she grateful that it had. That she had chosen to come to Italy when she had. Despite the fact that she sometimes missed Ireland. She couldn’t help that, as it was her homeland after all. Even if it wasn't her home anymore, that it hadn't been for many years.
She smiled to her mate, as it was beautiful to just be there with him. This was going to be something new for both of them and it deserved a fighting chance. She knew she might struggle with being accountable for someone else, but she would do her best to make him happy. His happiness would make her happy, it was as simple as that. She was finally right where she belonged.
“I don’t think we need to do a complete redecoration, my love. Just a few places of course.” She winked at him and then felt him stroke his hand through her hair. It was something she hadn’t felt in quite a long time. She liked the way the term ‘ours’ played off his lips as it sounded better when he said it than when she did. She kissed him lightly as she couldn’t be happier than where she was right then. “But right now, we don’t have to think about redecoration, after all we have all the time in the world to get the castle where it suits both of us, my dear.” She chuckled as she gave him another kiss before pulling away slowly to look into his gorgeous eyes. Everything about him drew her to him. The way he spoke, the way he talked, the way he smelled. Everything.
They would have forever to talk about things, and to learn more about eachother, this much she had known. Of course it was going to be different than it was before. She knew she would not want to be apart from him, especially at first. And would have to keep herself in check when he wasn’t around, because her new instincts told her she would worry about him. Though she knew that nothing would ever happen to him, but still she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from worrying anyway. Just as she was sure he would feel the same. Their connection to eachother was stronger than she could have ever dreamed one could be. Not that she or any other vampire could actually dream.
[Sure we can end it here, and if you want to start a new one that'd be great.]
