Gentle: Eleazar has excellent manners. Hardly does he speak too loudly, even when he is overjoyed. Extremely polite. Behave well all the time. He smiles at everyone he knows, whether they are his friends or his enemies. He never threatens, never scolds or gets mad, even if he is terribly insulted. He’d rather listen than talk too much and does things very carefully. He respects lives and people as much as he respects himself. He thinks everyone, including the bad ones, deserves to live. Therefore, he thinks it is unfair to kill humans for their blood.
Determined: Despite his gentleness, Eleazar is not flaccid at all. He knows exactly what he wants and what he has to do. Before making any decisions, he always thinks very carefully so hardly does he have any second thoughts. Once he has decided to do something, he will not let anyone prevent him. Eleazar does not back down. Difficult as it is, he’ll never stop trying until he finally manage to success. He wants to leave – nothing will keep him back. He wants to stay – nothing can make him walk away.
Righteous: Eleazar is quite stubborn but it does not mean he cannot decide what the right things are. Being a vampire does not kill his conscience. He respects the law wholeheartedly, as long as they mean good and fair. He is kind but he never covers crimes. He can be quiet but he does not hesitate to defend justice, no matter how dangerous it is to do so.
Eager to learn: Eleazar is probably a very old man, but like what people say, he is never too old to learn. He is curious. He wants to know everything about everything and is always excited to learn new things. Life changes everyday and he is happy to adapt in the modern life. He’d like to keep himself informed everyday by reading newspaper or joining social networks. Knowledge is never the same after time and he will be outdated if he does not get to know what is going on in the world.

Eleazar Álvaro Bolívar was born on January 3rd, 1713 in Spain. He was the only child of Isabel and Álvaro Bolívar, who were the leaders of a bandit group. The bandit group was called Pesadilla, which means “nightmare” in Spanish. There were about fifty members and they were very famous at that time. Even the King heard of them, and feared them in some respects. They robbed and killed everyday. They laughed at people’s pain. The Spanish hated them terribly, and so did Eleazar. Unlike his family, Eleazar was well educated and well-mannered. He preferred going to the church to robbing like the Pesadilla. He wanted to be a good citizen instead of everyone’s nightmare. A priest at the church found him and learned his wish. The priest, with his wisdom and kindness, helped Eleazar study and become a good man. Time flew fast and the boy became a man who was as wise and kind as his teacher. Eleazar found what his family did so cruel and unfair, so he stood up for the people in the country, convincing his parents to let them live in peace. His parents were angry, of course. They threatened that they would tear his throat apart if he ever dared to mention that again. Eleazar – a good Spanish man – could not stand seeing people having to suffer his parents torturing. The Bolívar kid betrayed his family. He came to see the king and showed his willingness to help the King arrest his parents. With his cooperation, the King and his army found the bandit group. Some members of the Pesadilla were caught and executed. The rest of them soon found out the betrayer and they planned to make him pay.
On Eleazar’s twenty-sixth birthday, the Pesadilla found him and they kidnapped him. After being brought to a secret hiding place of the bandit group, he faced his parents. This time, they were no longer his parents. They locked him in a basement when they still did not decide what they would do to punish him. Eventually they decided to drown him as they believed he deserved it for his betraying. Eleazar had no problem with death because he had prepared himself for it. Three days later, they led him to the river where they were going to drown him. Eleazar’s ankle was tightened to a large stone and his eyes were blinded; he stood there, being insulted by his own family. Hardly had they pushed him into the deep river when a stranger showed up. Eleazar could not see any but she could hear some desperate screams. That was all he knew before the stone pulled him to the bottom of the deep river. Being unable to breathe, Eleazar became unconscious. He believed that he was dead. Nevertheless, Eleazar immediately felt a terrible pain after that. The pain was worse than anything he ever imagined. He felt like he was being burned alive. No sooner had his eyes opened than he realized something was wrong. The very first thing was that he was lying among dead bodies of his family, and still alive – in fact, he felt stronger than ever. Secondly, he felt thirsty. Eleazar discovered a horrible truth: all that he wanted was blood. Someone had saved him, and turned him into a monster. That person left a note. ”Good men shouldn’t die so soon.” the note said that. Eleazar soon found out how disgusting what he had become was. Likewise, he soon figured out his special ability: he could see the potential ability of people. He had to leave his hometown to keep the secret of what he was. Eleazar started to live the life of a wanderer.
A few years later, Eleazar found to Volturi. Getting tired of being a homeless, Eleazar showed his desire to join the coven. Aro was fond of his special ability as it would be helpful for the Volturi in judging their enemies and choosing new members. And Eleazar earned a spot in the royal family. They taught him control his thirst properly to wait for a perfect time to attack, so as not to reveal the vampire’s secret. He was not completely happy with the Volturi’s lifestyle as he found it so heartless and cruel, in some respects. However, he did not want to return to his old miserable life of a lonely wanderer. Time passed. Eleazar met the love of his life – Carmen. He was crazy for her. For the first time, he felt love and happiness. He wanted to start a family with her but she did not want to stay with the Volturi. Eleazar did not hesitate at all when he asked Aro to permit his leaving the coven. His decision did not only depend on Carmen’s wish but also on his own wish to leave. Aro, despite his unhappiness, agreed. Eleazar and Carmen became nomad vampires. They traveled around the world together. And fate led them to the Denali. At the end, the Denali sisters asked both of them to stay. Eleazar and Carmen were more than happy to join them, as they finally had a family.
Years later, after a long time living in peace, the Denalis were asked to assist the Cullens when they were about to confront the Volturi to protect a hybrid child. They came to Forks in fears, worrying that they would end up being executed by the Volturi. At first, they thought Renesmee – the hybrid child of Edward and Bella’s – was an immortal child. However, they started to believe the story soon after getting to know the child. Finally they agreed to help the Cullens in their confronting the Volturi. Eleazar was the one to discovered Bella’s gift. Thanks to his discovery, Bella learned to control her shield and brought a huge advantage to the Cullens in the battle. Eventually, Renesmee was proved to be harmless and not an immortal child. It was very painful that Irina was executed for her mistake. But what must be must be. The Denalis returned to their home.
The confrontation had inspired Eleazar and he started to work on a chilren book after returning home. The book was published a year after the meeting up with the Volturi and it became best-selling. He continues his writing career under the name Mad Hatter. Apart from his family, no one knows who Mad Hatter really is.

The door bell rang. Eleazar, within a second, ran from the kitchen to the front door with excitement on his face. As he opened the door, he saw a young man standing in front of him with a package in his hand. For Mr. Eleazar Denali. The man said politely as he looked at the orders. Eleazar nodded with a bright smile. It’s me. He replied, not taking his eyes off the package. Please sign here, Sir. The shipper asked before handing the package to him. Eleazar did everything quickly then he received the package from the shipper. The shipper said goodbye and left. Shutting the door, Eleazar held the small box in his hand, staring at it curiously and excitedly like a child seeing his new toy.
Carmen! Carmen! Darling, I have something to show you! Eleazar called his dear Carmen as he was running upstairs, still carrying the box. A smile grew on his lips when his eyes landed on the beautiful woman sitting in the reading room. Carmen was looking at him curiously, wondering what was going on. He placed the box on the table and smiled at her gently. His eyes were like sparkling when he looked at her. Darling, look what I’ve got here. He opened the box as he was saying. A shiny new mobile phone appeared. This is the newest design of Blackberry’s! I ordered it a month ago. It is extremely rare now. It has a lot of cool games, applications,… The vampire said in joy. Carmen let out some tolerating laughter. He sat down next to her and went on and on about his new toy. He could not stop smiling when introducing his new toy to Carmen. Eleazar always seemed so calm but he completely lost control when it came to cell phones. The mobile phone must be the greatest invention of human being – at least they were to him. Ever since the first mobile phone was invented, Eleazar had always been crazily fond of this device. Well, that could be called obsession, or addiction. No one understood that obsession, except Carmen – who always had to put up with his endless stories about his phones. So many years passed and Eleazar never changed. And its camera can take great photos!
Smile, Carmen. He said with a grin after the introduction. The phone was in his hand and ready to capture the picture of the beautiful woman in front of him. This will be the background photo. He announced before pressing the button.
