Jacob found himself keeping up with her easily. He could not just let her slip through his fingers, he had to sit down and speak to her. She had admitted to feeling something in the kiss and there was no way he was going to let her get away without talking to him more about it. "I could chase you all day Ness, I'm not going anywhere." His voice was calm, he did not want to scare her away he wanted to lure her in. Jogging along beside her he gave her a look as if to say c'mon just stop this. He was tired of chasing her all over town, tired of her knocking him back and not deciding on him. Fifty years had gone by since her birth and it had just been fifty years of pain mostly on his half.
"Please Ness. We need to talk. We need to sit down and discuss what is going to happen between us. You need to at least give me a deadline." He felt himself sighing once more.
((sorry its so short, really short on muse today))

Of course he could chase her all day. In fact, she was well aware of the fact that she was going to be the one that got tired first. Had she been a full vampire, running away from him would not have been a problem due to the incredible strength and the unbelievable speed. But unfortunately, only half of her was the vampire. The other half was human. Carrying a weak part in her when racing with a werewolf was definitely a great disadvantage. But she thought she should at least try before giving up. After a while running, she soon found her muscles weakened and worn out. And all Jacob did was jogging next to her, not chasing anymore. How humiliating. She stopped moving to catch her breath. It is so unfair. She murmured in an angry tone; she was more angry with herself than she was with him. If she ever got in dangers, she doubted she would manage to escape successfully, not to mention that the ball was coming closer. Everyone wanted to be her protector when she wanted to protect them – ironic. Always had to be the one to run and hide – she wholeheartedly disliked that. But she assumed she could not do much to keep the ones she loved safe, at least not from the supernatural creatures such as full vampires and werewolves.
Her gaze dropped on Jacob as he spoke again. He insisted that the two of them needed to talk. She barely thought of something worth talking about. It was not that she did not want to listen to him; it was just that she ran out of words to say. Everything she had on her mind was confusion and unclear emotions, probably stupidity too. What exactly do you want to hear, Jacob? She asked with a sigh. She certainly knew what he wanted to hear – her admitting that she had feelings for him, which was quite true in some respects but entirely uncertain. What was going to happen between the two of them? Awkwardness – sure, why not? The kiss had been awkward enough and she had no idea how she could face him the next day without blushing or avoiding his eyes. And she needed to come up with an explanation for her parents if her father happened to read her mind and find out everything. Her normal life had officially turned into chaos thanks to the crazy relationships she had got herself into. Sit down and discuss – sounds fascinating. But what are we going to talk about? Nothing will happen between us, at least not until I figure out what is in my head and my heart. Things are getting so complicated to me, Jake. She said, irritated. And deadline? If I say the deadline is “forever”, will you be willing to wait forever? The deadline had perfectly got on her nerves. She would delay this in every way, so that she would not have to make any decisions, or commitments. She was not ready for any deadlines.

Jacob knew that he was at an unfair advantage. He could run for miles without even breaking a sweat, and he could keep pace with a vampire so Nessie really had very little chance of getting away from him. He did feel bad in a way as this advantage obviously meant she eventually would have to give up. She was stubborn but he could also be stubborn, and he was exercising it just now. He wanted to talk to her, just find out how she felt. What was going on. So many questions that she would never tell him, but he at least had to try. He had to get something out of her. The hope that she had given him still flickered in his chest with a small flame. He needed something from her.
"I know the feeling." He muttered. Looking towards her face, he was trying to catch her gaze. Obviously she was angry with him. He knew that she would always be angry with him in some way. He had this habit of being irritating. "I just want to know what is going on. How do you feel? Can you ever see an us?" His words where honest. He had so many questions but he would only ask a couple at a time. "They will always be complicated Ness. Especially if you are adiment to keep things from me and not talk to me. They are complicated because you are stubborn and refuse to accept things." he sighed again and rubbed a hand through his already messy hair. "Yeah! Do you not feel even the slightest bit sorry for all this? Of course I wont stop trying. I cant." He too felt the irritation course through him. He just wanted her to realize that he wasn't just something she could push away. This was real and he'd keep going till the day he died.
