The only thing she could truly know, was that everything had happened for a reason. Her luck had been fortunate, as she had gotten close to the Volturi and had grown to be friends with some of them. The way things were, she had gotten used to the choas on her life. Everything in her life had always been controlled until recently. And she needed something to put herself back on track. The vampire had seen many things in her thirty one hundred years of life but nothing had been as complicated as the most recent events. Events that she could not completely understand even though she had tried to.
She needed to go speak to Chelsea Volturi, the two of them had been close friends since she had first arrived in Italy and the two got along better than most she had ever known. It was true that Chelsea did not really treat her as an outsider, sure there was still things she did not know that Chelsea did but that was all fine by her. Since she wasn't a member of the coven.
Walking through the streets of Volterra, she did not know what to do today. She had wanted to see Chelsea to at least talk to someone that could easily understand her. After a while she had walked into the Volturi’s castle. Walking up to the castle she thought it was really quiet which meant one of two things, either everyone was out, or they were preoccupied. She walked into the main part of the castle, the entranceway. She was not going to go any further, since she was coming today without having been summoned by anyone. After taking a look around, she couldn’t help but spot the very woman who she had been hoping to find. She had survived this long while remaining loyal to the Volturi.
She had known Chelsea since she had first arrived in Italy. It was one thing she was eternally grateful for, was the friendship the two women shared. She watched her step as she walked through the main floor. She could sense someone was coming and when she looked up, she spotted none other than Chelsea Volturi. A grin appeared on her face. “Hi Chelsea! It has been too long since I’ve seen you....how have you been?” She asked as she liked to converse with the woman. Everything was not so different than how it was when the two had just met.
She had made a choice a long time ago that she would side with the Volturi. That she would help them whereever and however she could. Even though she was not a member of the Volturi, she would protect them no matter the price. Chelsea had her eye on Afton and the two were very interesting to be around at the same time. She had found herself drawn to a certain vampire, someone that she knew she couldn't live without. She dared not discuss it while within the castle of course. She’d keep that her own little secret for the time being, if it was still a secret. If they went outside of the castle for a while she would feel more at liberty to say something. But she also did not want to press her luck.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chelsea had just returned from visiting Greece, she was shocked at how much it had changed. She knew that it would have obviously had changed but she didn't realize how much really. Her castle was a complete ruin, it was just rocks. She had actually gotten quite upset, as it had been such a beautiful castle. She could remember walking through the corridors with her long flowing dresses flowing behind her in the gentle breeze. Sometimes she wished she was back in her time period. But she was glad that Afton saved her when he did. She really did not know why he put up with her, especially when she had seen the castle and went crazy. He had calmed her down even when it seemed impossible.
Having returned to Volterra she had reported to Aro straight away. She was only away a couple of days but it was preferred that she came every second day. Of course she was forgiven. She had a lot of freedom, unlike some of the guards. She was thankful as always to her master. She had just dropped by to update Aro and secure the guards and other masters relationships. She wasnt going to go away again for a while but it was nice to know she could come and go as she pleased. She didnt always go traveling but when the mood took her she did.
She passed through the corridors, having been dismissed. She wore a turquoise short dress accessorized with thick gold jewelry. Her trademark 7inch Louboutin heels, she walked gracefully. She loved these shoes in particular having picked them up on her way back. They were gold sparkles. Chelsea was a girly girl. She loved everything sparkly and lovely. She loved her make up. She just loved looking good. She didnt need any of the stuff she wore to look beautiful but she did it anyway for herself. Even for a vampire she was particularly beautiful, one of the best looking ones in Volterra anyway. She knew how to dress, she always wore impeccable clothes, all designer of course.
Her heels tapping against the marble flooring she sensed another vampire up ahead. Turning the corner she smiled when she seen Katherine. Chelsea was a social creature, she was so lovely. Speaking to everyone really. She had met Katherine what seemed like a long time ago. Of course they had hit it off instantly. "Hello!" She rushed forward embarrassing the female in a hug. Some were confused as to how Chelsea ran in her heels, even for a vampire it was quite hard but she wore heels everyday of her life and had mastered them. Even crazy inch heels. "What brings you here?" Her voice was very cheery, her celine bag swinging on her arm. She pulled back and swished her long brunette hair over her back. She had it loose today, it hung beautifully and complemented her hourglass frame. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OUTFIT?! - here TAG?! - Katherine NOTES?! - Hope its okay xD

The one thing about being a vampire that hadn’t eluded her was just how brilliant the life she had had. She had seen alot in her three thousand plus years of life and of course she was more than willing to serve wherever she could. Between Ireland and Italy, she had her hands full. There was plenty of space to run and hunt....without there being a second doubt. There had never been a second to think that she couldn’t handle what life threw at her.
With all the recent events, Volterra was becoming more and more like home. A real home, instead of somewhere to run and hide from her past. She had no idea what to make of the situation that had happened of course. Alexander was obviously on her mind, as he always seemed to be since they had reconnected. Some humans would say she looked more like an assassin, than anything else. She liked the dark attire she had picked out more recently. It was still professional but it did not stick out as anything other than what any other woman would wear, in this day and age. Having a chaotic situation like the one she and Alexander had gotten themselves into, a smile lit up her face whenever she thought about it.
She had some freedom but it was because wasn’t as tied down as the others due to her not being a member of the Volturi themselves. When it came to the Volturi’s castle, it had been a place that she was familiar with. She often travelled when the mood took her though it had been a great while since she had made a trip to Ireland. A smile appeared on her face as she spotted Chelsea. The woman was a very girly girl. She had always had sparkly things, and make up even. Of course the woman was beautiful in her own right, but makeup only accentuated the natural beauty she had. She liked to see Chelsea happy as when Chelsea was happy she had a glow around her. And of course Chelsea was in style....as always, in her designer outfits.
The vampire of course had heard Chelsea coming moments before she had seen her. She hugged her old friend and couldn’t help but chuckle. “Oh, I had to come talk to Master Aro. He requested I do something for him, so I just....came by to tell him the task was completed....granted I know some around here don’t like the fact that I do things for him....or the other Masters....but you’ve always known where my loyalties lie.” She told her old friend and wondered just what she was going to do now. She looked down at Chelsea’s shoes. “I still don’t know how you wear those heels of yours without falling down.” She commented on her friend’s shoes, as she looked at her. “I have no other plans today though. Since I have done what I came here to do. What about you? Any plans for today?” She wondered if maybe they could talk about things. “How is Afton? I haven’t seen him in what feels like a very long time.” Of course she trusted the vampires who came into the castle, that actually lived there, as Volturi members. She of course was not one of those. She was just a very loyal ally to them. Something that she hoped was good enough. Her blonde hair was in curls, she looked like the simple twenty one year old, that she had the appearance of and yet had the wisdom of someone who had truly lived more than three thousand years. There had been so many changes it was enough to make her mind start spinning. She felt more at peace with herself than she had in years past. The confidence had only grown since reuniting with Alexander. Something Chelsea would probably notice a difference in, since they had been friends for so long.

It had felt like a lifetime since she had seen Katherine. Sadly no one in the Volturi really was like Chelsea. Nobody really was friendly or happy. They all seemed depressed and angry. So that posed her with a little bit of difficulty. Sure everyone was nice to her when she spoke but nobody was as bubbly and upbeat as she was. So nobody really wanted to go out and have fun like she did. She had to result to other people, even humans sometimes. But she didn't mind, she just liked to have someone that would speak to her and be friendly with her. And Katherine was the best possible person she could have ran into.
She grinned and laughed softly, her voice was like beautiful music. "Aro said that you had been doing a few things lately. Dont worry about it everyone is sour around here." She laughed again and her hair moved silkily down her back. "I wouldn't worry about it, as long as Aro is happy with you everyone else can go suck it. He's the main man" She winked and laughed again.
"Its really not that hard, I live in heels." She grinned down at her lovely shoes. "Do you like them? Custom made for Louboutin's favorite customer" She did give that man some business. Her and Afton's room was full of her clothes and heels at one point. It got that ridiculous that Aro had given her a room especially for her clothes and such things.
"Great! So your mine then!" She hooked her arm through Katherines and began to drag her towards the exit door. They would find something good to do. They always did. "He's good! He barely leaves my side these days. He's went off for a rare spot of boy time with the other guys. Well they dragged him away to be honest." She smiled softly at the thought of her fiance. He was truly amazing but sometimes she felt that he had to be a guy. He however hated the prospect of that. But he could not say not to Felix. Felix had basically threw him over his shoulder and carted him away. All she could really do was blow him a kiss and tell him to have fun.
"So! Where shall we go?" She grinned her perfect gleaming smile.

It had been a very long time since she had seen Chelsea and she had to admit she missed her old friend. No one in the Volturi was like she was. She was the exception as where most were really depressed or angry, Chelsea was not. Chelsea was as bubbly and upbeat and she liked it. She liked to go out and have fun to a certain extent of course. It depends on what someone had in mind for fun activities, like shopping and in her case, hunting and torturing an innocent soul. The one thing about Chelsea was Chelsea liked to have as good of a time as she did. She and Chelsea had been friends for a while so it was perfect to run into her now.
“Yes, I have been. And I can handle them being sour. After all you don’t live for as long as I have, without running into those who are a bit sour. Or rough around the edges, you get used to it.” She smiled as she found herself chuckling along with her good friend. “Well he’ll have to deal with it, as I’m not going anywhere any time soon. He knows I’ve been loyal to the Volturi since I moved here, so long ago.” She looks at her old friend. “I’ve given him no reason not to be happy with me. I do my job, and that’s about it. End of story.”
Chelsea was a good friend to have as they could joke and laugh with one another as two girls could. She winked at her old friend. “Yes I know you do. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without them on.” She laughed as she said it. “I do, yes. They’re good. I don’t wear them as much as you do.” She grins as she heard where Chelsea got them. “Yes well I’d imagine you were his favorite customer.” She knew how Chelsea was with her designer outfits and shoes. “In a matter of speaking, yes I suppose I am. For the time being, anyway.”
She grins as she felt Chelsea hook her arm through hers and to drag her toward the exit. The two girls would find something to do, they always did. “Yes, well I can imagine they would have to drag him away as I know how much he prefers to be spending time alone with you. Though it’s quite fun to think that he has to be dragged to go have some boy time with the guys.” She winked as she looked at her friend. She knew how close the two of them were so it was priceless.
“I don’t know, anywhere outside the castle is fine by me.” She told Chelsea honestly. Her smile was contageous as she couldn’t help but smile as well. “I’m just glad to be back. It feels like it’s been a while since you and I have had any kind of girl time, just the two of us.” She told her friend with a grin. Her red eyes were ablaze as she was quite happy with where her life had taken her.
All she could think of was of Alex, Aro's sire. He had come back into her life like a whirlwind and just like that everything seemed to have shaken up. They had proclaimed to be the other's mate so it was definitely something new. Which she didn't know if Chelsea knew about it yet, but knew better than to speak of it while they were still inside the castle itself. And more importantly if Aro were around. She did not want to get on his bad side at all. Especially not now.

Aro had filled her in with a lot of things she had missed. He had a few nomads working for him now. It was strange but she just accepted what Aro did without question. Whatever he did was for the best of the Volturi otherwise he would not have done it. She was just there to keep people loyal and tie people to the Volturi. It was not her place to question and she did not want to anyway. She did her piece and then got on with her life. She was content with that. She had also heard that Aro's sire was in town and that Katherine and him were cosy. She wanted to bring it up but was going to wait till they had sat down to properly talk.
"I love them! Afton bought them for me. He seen me drooling over the idea of them and went and sorted something out with Louboutin. Hes a great human, always there to help." She beamed down at them. She loved her shoes, especially this brand of shoes. She had so many designer makes but this was the brand she reached for the most. She must of had over fifty pairs already but of course that was never enough.
Chelsea knew the perfect place. She had seen a new bar had opened up over town. It was small but quaint and they would not be disturbed by the look of it. She dragged Katherine towards there. Dancing along at her side, she was her usual bubbly, happy self. "He wasn't happy about it, you can say that much. Felix just picked him up like he was a toy and threw him over his shoulder. It was rather amusing." She laughed softly. "I know! I feel like it has been a century!" They had arrived outside the bar and she grabbed them a nice seat outside shrouded by an umbrella.
"You are glowing y'know?" She looked at her nails, and then back up to Katherine grinning. She didn't know if Katherine knew that she knew.

She knew that it was one of those types of things that many did not understand. Why Aro had chosen nomads to work for him when he had a lot of help it seemed like within the castle’s walls. Many would say that it was unnecessary for nomads to be used in any which case. She understood all that, but she wasn’t a traditional vampire by any means. She was a nomad of course, which meant she was able to travel quite frequently on her own. She knew that she did not question what Aro had to say, regarding the nomads like herself as she liked working for him. It was something she was familiar with doing. She followed his rules, as easily as she had followed her own. Life was back to an almost blissful existance if she did say so herself.
She did not need someone to make sure she was loyal to the Volturi. She had lived her life over three thousand years without someone telling her who to be loyal to and to keep her loyal, and she sure didn’t need someone telling her who to be loyal to now. So Chelsea never had to worry about keeping her in line as much as she had to worry about the others. She already had enough people asking questions to her like why she was there, and why she was getting in the way. She did not need a friend to question her choices. She was content to simply help out where she could.
Taking a deep unneeded breath she looked at her old friend. With Alex being in town, her whole world had completely turned upside down, of course. She wasn’t quite sure how to define it. They were mates now and that was in fact a good thing. She liked being around Alexander, he was quite charming and he had always been able to make her smile. It wasn’t just the fact that they were quite cozy as most would describe them as being, she hadn’t known if anyone really knew just how serious it actually was between the two of them.
She smiled as she looked at her friend. “Yes, well they are quite beautiful. And it’s good that you have someone to help you, no matter if they were human or not.” She rolled her eyes when it came to the human part in what she had to say, as she did not particularily care for humans which Chelsea would know given how long that they had known eachother. She chuckled when her friend dragged her to this little bar that was opened in town. She felt as though being with Alex had made her a stronger woman, a stronger vampire, and anyone who knew her would see that.
Chelsea was always so upbeat and so full of life with her bubbly personality that it always made her chuckle. “Yeah well knowing Afton, I know that he would not be happy about it, though it would be quite amusing to watch Felix throw him over his shoulder like a rag doll. “ She smiled warmly as she looked at her friend. “Yes, or more than one, but you and I both know how time flies when you’re having fun.” She was a difficult one to get close to, but she had trusted herself in this situation. Not that it was any different from any other situation.
Once they arrived at the bar she couldn’t help but grin when they had found their seat outside, shrouded by an umbrella. When Chelsea had said she was glowing she raised her eyebrow. “I’m what? Could you explain that one to me?” She asked as she wasn’t a hundred percent sure what she was talking about. Truth was she was a happy camper. Alex had been busy today so she was quite happy to go spend some time with her friend. She couldn’t be with her mate all the time, even if she had wanted to. She caught Chelsea’s grin, which only left her with more questions than answers. Did Chelsea know, and if so who else did?
Not that it mattered as she loved Alex and she wasn’t about to give up what they had simply because some of the others might not understand or might not like it. Their connection had been deeprooted between the two of them, going back for almost as long as both of them had been vampires. Even if the first time she had met him, it hadn’t worked out. She had only hoped that this second time would be better, and so far it had proved to be. Life was looking pretty damn good at the moment. And that in the end was all that truly mattered, wasn’t it? She was happy and so was Alex and those that really cared for them, or loved them would be happy for them.

Chelsea never understood why so many vampires hated humans. Obviously they were seen as derogatory as they were their food source and very easily killed. But that never really gave them a reason to hate them. In fact they should probably worship them or something like that, whatever people used to do with their food. Chelsea had never been a vampire that hated humans. She was interested by them. Their relationships were so easily toyed with but she did not always use them as a source of fun. She studied them, walked among them. Even spoke to them. Humans were still people, they still had lives and relationships and who was she to take that away from them and hate them for being who they were? Some humans had great purpose, like all the designers of her beautiful clothes. She shook her head slightly at her vampire friend already knowing her stance on humans.
Chelsea loved Afton, and she was not afraid to show it. They rarely were apart. Afton hated being away from her, he had felt guilty for leaving her when they had escaped. But the truth was he had been separated from her and could not find her. He had spent the whole time looking for her when they had crossed paths again. He had always loved her, having been a servant of her family. He had encouraged her not to marry Dymas, but of course she never would have. She was set in it in her own way. At the time Chelsea never gave Afton the attention he deserved. She thought a lot of herself back then and was very selfish, but she had grown out of that and had fallen head over heels for him. She loved being with him, just being around him was amazing. She could understand why he hated being away from her, and why it was so difficult for him to go. But she had laughed a little when Felix had scooped him up like a rag doll.
Grinning at Katherine she rubbed her lips together. "Come on.. I know. " She had been told by Aro, but she had also heard some of the other guards talking. Alex had made quite a buzz at the Volturi but what had made even more was the relationship between Alex and Katherine. "So.. How is Mr Alexander Mason? I haven't met him myself but a lot of people are talking about him. Someone said he's 100% Aro's father if not worse than Aro." She laughed softly. Of course she listened to the gossip but she never really believed any of it. She made her own opinions. "I never had you down as the lovey sort. Tell me all about it." her gleaming white grin set she got comfy in her chair and ordered two drinks for them.

She didn’t necessarily have to hate humans, but she did, because of how they had treated her when she had been human. So she had a dislike for them if one could understand that. Humans were very easily killed and were a natural food source for her so she couldn’t see herself being all too friendly with someone she was about to eat. It was interesting to say the least to watch a human both in the moments before they became her victim and the moments leading up to their deaths. It was all in good fun really. She had to say that it wasn’t overly polite to play with one’s food, as some vampires had pointed out but that was what made it all the more fun to her. She liked toying with her victims, especially the males. They were always the most fun to destroy. Granted yes they were still people too, and had relationships and lives for themselves, but she was for the most part able to take that away from them. Some humans may have had a purpose as Chelsea had said once or twice, but she still did not have to be their best friend. Someting of which no one, not even Chelsea would ever change.
When it came to relationships, she was still new at all of it. But she had been happy for her friend, Chelsea who had her mate for as long as she had known the female vampire in front of her. She and Afton were a perfect match and that was all that mattered. She could only imagine how amusing it had been to see Afton being carried away like a rag doll by Felix. She had been thinking of that thought when Chelsea had pulled her out of her thoughts and back to reality. “You know what?” She had said, playing the innocent act for the moment. She chuckled only when Chelsea had mentioned Alex’s name. A grin appeared on her face as she thought of her mate. “He’s great. I’m sure you’re going to like him when you do meet him. Come on we both know how Aro is, and Alex, he’s a bit different from Aro but they’re definitely father and son. There’s no question about it. I can’t say either of them is better or worse than the other because there is no comparasion as they are in fact two different vampires.” She stated as she heard her friend chuckle. She loved her mate, and there was no denying it.
If she had been in Chelsea’s shoes she probably would have listened to all the gossip too. “Believe me, I never thought I was either. Given I was always the type to kill first ask questions later. I never thought I'd find myself in this situation. Where do you want me to start? At the beginning, I suppose? Or would you prefer to just ask questions and I give you the answers you want to know?” She grinned at her friend as she was happy to have someone like Alex in her life. Someone who made her as happy as possible. They had only been mates a short while but she had known him since she had first become a vampire over three thousand years ago. Of course back then they hadn’t been the most friendly of vampires with one another as they never really took the time to talk. But she would be willing to share the experiance with her friend, so long as it didn’t bite her in the rear end when it was all said and done. She trusted her friend, but there were others to watch out for. Those who could not be trusted.

Chelsea knew a lot of things. News in the Volturi spread like wildfire and of course she was one of the first ones to hear most things. She had been told by Aro himself that Alex was here but nothing about Katherine and Alex's relationship. Of course the masters did not gossip, it was only for the lowly minions. She sometimes laughed to herself at the hierarchy of the Volturi, she was of course one of the most important guards but she never played on it. She always treated everyone the same, she never once asked for people to bow down to her or listen to her. That just wasnt how she was.
But of course she was very interested in hearing about Katherine and Alex. She had known Katherine for a while and she was never the person to strike up with someone and be in a relationship. And from what she had gathered about Alex already he too was not the sort. So naturally she was interested. However she wanted to find out the facts herself. Also being Katherines friend she would never tell anyone what Katherine told her. She was just excited at the prospect of it. There was many sour people around the Volturi and nothing exciting ever happened. This was pretty exciting for the Volturi.
"I'll let you just tell me, start at the beginning" Pushing her hair away from her face she looked to her friend intently. She was happy that Katherine was happy. Chelsea had always believed that everyone had someone, but in vampires it was rare for someone else to believe too. So many of them went around moping, using their pasts as excuses to never find someone. Chelsea's past had been bad but she had never dwelled on it. She picked herself up and grew up.

Time held no precedence. There was things that had happened that she had been happy they had occurred but the information around here had seemed to spread like wildfire. Her relationship with Alex had been a very complicated one to say the least. She knew Aro, Marcus and Caius did not gossip, not at all. If they had she would have started asking questions early on. Taking an unneeded breath she looked at her old friend. Alex was definitely unique to the cosmos, and more importantly he had shaken up her world. Gossip was everywhere inside the Volturi’s castle and she was not immune to it. She had known that Chelsea was a high ranking guard which was good, it meant she had good connections.
The interesting part was that her life had done a one hundred and eighty degree spin since she had first known Alex, and then the same would apply for Chelsea since she had known the female vampire almost as long as she had her mate. It was funny to think of herself actually being in a relationship, and being mated to someone. As in her entire existance, she never imagined it would have happened quite the way that it did to begin with. It was kind of one of those things that she was surprised but excited with. She knew how Chelsea’s curiousity was about anything that was different. She couldn’t help but chuckle as she looked at her oldest and most trusted friend. She moved a strand of hair away from her face, and took a deep unneeded breath. “Let’s see, I suppose I should just start at the beginning then.”
She smiled as she thought of it. Just thinking of him made her smile. “I met Alex, Aro’s sire, when I was a very young vampire. I’d just been turned....not long before. I was unsure what to make of it at first. We met over in Ireland, at a bar in Limerick. Our first interraction did not go well....and well he left an impression on me. I’d only seen him that once....briefly. He disappeared without a word....I wasn’t sure if it was something I’d said or done, but I didn’t ever get the chance to ask because after that initial meeting, there was no trace of him. At first I thought he was some kind of a ghost. Because he was there one minute and then the next he just wasn’t. And no one seemed to know where he....was much less who he was at the time.” The memory was not the most pleasant but it had of course caused her to look for him though she wasn’t about to state that right yet.
“I continued on with my life, you know, I never in my wildest imagination did I think I’d run into him again. Not after so many years had passed. I was at the Roman Theatre, and I saw him. At first, we kind of argued a bit but then, our eyes connected, and I can’t even begin to tell you what that felt like. I have never in my life felt like that...now I know how you felt about Afton. After all these years of not really understanding it. But....we’re still trying to figure things out so it’s kind of an interesting process if you will. He showed me where he lived, and told me I could visit any time I liked. You know here I am at the age I am, over three thousand years old, and for once in my life, I feel happier than I have felt in a very long time. I’ve told you almost anything you wanted to know, Chelsea, about my past, you know me probably more than anyone does within the Volturi. After all how long have we known eachother? A long time....since at least the nineteen hundreds at least.” She grinned as she looked at her old friend.
“The thing....this, I have no idea what I’m doing. You know me, you know how I am about most things, it’s kill first ask questions never. But Chelsea, he’s....he and I are a lot alike. Which is kind of crazy. Because never, in my life have I found someone like him. Even—even when I was human....there was never anyone that made me feel....like he does. And I cannot explain it. It’s....something I thought had died when I lost my life and became what I am. You know, and the thing is I never really looked for anyone, someone to share my life with, becaue well there just never seemed to be a reason to. And I guess it’s true that it can happen when you’re not really looking for it. You know I—I hadn’t had the best luck with men. The few I’d dealt with when I was human were horrible. And it was that alone that kept me from really trying to branch out. But you know, normally I have some idea what I’m doing, but not this time. Not when it comes to this. What do I do? I don’t know what to do—or how to be....in this kind of thing. You know, since he and I became mates, things seemed to kind of pick back up where they left off. But I don’t know the first thing about being in a relationship like this, you know how to make him happy. I’ve—I’ve never had to worry about someone else, Chelsea and I’m—for once in my life I’m almost....unsure of every little thing. Because I—I don’t want to hurt him. And I don’t want to get hurt again.” She replied honestly and hoped that what she said here wouldn’t be spread around the castle as Chelsea was the first she had spoken to about all this since it had happened. She knew she’d have to talk to Aro at some point but she wasn’t sure how to even go about doing that, given the situation at hand.

Chelsea listened to Katherine as she spoke. It was like a crazy love story almost. She could play it all out in her head. Of course she had never actually seen Alex but she pictured him somewhat like Aro. It was strange what her wild imagination could think up when it wanted to. It was almost like all vampire mate stories were fairy tale stories. Well most of them anyway. It was quite a crazy thing to hear as she knew what Katherine was like and this was almost the complete opposite of what she was normally like. Also from what she heard of Alex he did not seem like the romatic sort either.
She smiled softly at Katherine, playing with a strand of her long brunette hair. She applied another layer of lipstick as she listened. When Katherine had stopped talking she tilted her head to the side and smiled. "You have it bad honey." She paused slightly still observing Katherine. "You have been bitten by the love bug. You have fallen for each other bad by the sounds of it. But it is so unlike you both." She looked pretty happy by it all. She knew that she would have to help Katherine adapt to being all lovey. It would come naturally eventually but it was nice to have a little help.
"Dont worry, I will help you." She chuckled softly. It seemed like Katherine was really panicking about this, and it just showed Chelsea how much she cared. "I doubt he will hurt you Kathie. From what you have said he feels strongly about you. If you are both alike then you will be like two parts of a puzzle. You will fit in together and it will be perfect. Plus. If he hurts you, I'd hurt him. Regardless if he is Aro's sire or not" She shrugged simply, using the glass of the cafe to sort her hair and correct her lipstick. She said it so blaze like she didnt have a care in the world of the consequences of hurting someone as important as that.

She knew how chaotic her life had been prior to Alex reentering it. She could not put into words how the effect of that alone had changed her life, as she looked at her oldest and most trusted friend. It was a fairy tale in a certain extent as she never imagined it would even happen to her. She and Alex were anything but the romantic type so for them to suddenly be with eachother and so well romantic...to a certain extent was completely against who they were for the most part. It was kind of almost scary to think of.
She knew she was in trouble for the most part because of the way things were. She loved her life and had no idea what to make of it now. “Yes, that I do...though it all kind of happened so fast, my head was spinning the entire time. I hadn’t—I hadn’t felt like that since I was human....and we both know how long ago that was. And yes, I nkow how unlike me it is, and it’s unlike him too. We’re both the same way, ruthless for the most part. You know I thought I’d never find someone...not that I was really looking for it. But I appreciate the help, Chelsea. I really do.” She told her friend and sighed softly while looking at her.
She smiled softly at her old friend and it was unlike her to really care about someone like this. It was one of those things she was absolutely petrified for a better word. “It’s unlike who we are, Chelsea. I mean we....when I met him we were both ruthless, fierce, willing to kill without a second thought. But there’s something about him that I just I couldn’t do that. I mean you know how I am, I speak my mind, for the most part. I might even be considered insolent, that’s how he first described me. You know though, he had plenty of oppertunity to hurt me...when he and I first saw eachother again, but he didn’t. He couldn’t. So I don’t fear that he will, plus, I don’t care if he’s Master Aro’s sire or not, I don’t have it in me to hurt him. I’d probably even protect him even if he did hurt me. I can’t really explain it more simply than that.” That was how strong the connection was between her and Alex, even if it was a complicated one at that.
The best way to describe how she felt was to literally tear out her heart, and then with Alex it was like it was slowly healing itself. Like being with Alex, and even just thinking about him brought her closer and closer to knowing her heart would mend again. She wondered what all would happen next. She knew there was a ball coming up and wondered what it would lead to. She would attend one way or another, and hopefully Alex would join her. After all it would seem funny to attend without having her mate right there with her. “You know it’s kind of crazy how it’s all kind of happened of course. But I don’t know the first thing about being in a relationship, not as a vampire. My last relationship was back when I was human, granted the guy cheated on me with my best friend at the time and I sliced their throats....granted I was still human at the time.” She grinned as she thought of the deaths. They still made her grin even now.
She chuckled as she looked at her old friend. She was ruthless even as a human. Her first kill had been when she was fifteen after all. Both times of course the vicitms had deserved it. “Granted it wasn’t quite as fun as my first kill. He didn’t even know I was in the room. Which made it all the more fun.” She chuckled as she thought of it. He was an amusing victim to be sure as he hadn’t seen it coming. Neither had her best friend or her ex-lover but that was alright. It didn’t matter now as she had someone who was more important than anyone she had ever known of in either life, when it came to men, was. “Now I’ve been to a lot of places, but I tell you, I’ve never been to anywhere overly glamourous aside from the castle, it’s very well decorated. My home’s....pitiful compared to it in all honesty. But then again I don’t really stay there very often. Since I’m used to going from here to Ireland whenever I wanted to....because until now, I’ve never really had something that held me here. That has made me want to plant roots permanently. You know as well as I do how much I love to travel.”

Chelsea had seen many vampires like this. They would think they could never love anyone as they were heartless. They hated everything. But then poof. The second they meet a person they like they are falling over each other. It was one positive side to a life like this, watching someone who would never have dreamed to have found a mate find one and become happy. She knew that behind her masters stood a very powerful, beautiful woman who made them happy on a level no one else could. Showing that even those considered evil, had a heart when it came to that special person.
And it was happening all over again in the form of Katherine and Alex. She loved Katherine as a sister, but Katherine never had a loving bone in her body. She had never expected her to shack up with someone but that made it all the nicer. She was happy for her. So happy that she too could experience the love that Chelsea and Afton did. Love was something that only the few could live without and even then their lives were complete misery. Love was a powerful feeling that could bring an empire to its knees. Love was amazing.
"Honestly do not worry about it sweetie. It will come to you. It comes naturally after a while but ill give you a little push in the right direction." Chelsea loved playing teacher but she hardly ever got to play. "I know you well O'Riley. This man has you good. Its good that he has a lovely castle though" She grinned. She had a lot of money herself but most of it was tied up in the voltrui. She didnt mind as Aro give her everything she wanted anyway. She was a happy camper. She knew Katherine was also in a great financial position but someone with a castle would look after her to no end. "Your set then, think of the gifts you will get" She chuckled musically.

Living over three thousand years she had seen the rise and fall of kingdoms, of all the life and loss that had happened over such a long period of time. She had been ruthless, and cold to a certain extent. She was not used to being anything but that. So to go from that ruthless state to actually caring about someone in the way that she cared for Alex was a drastic change. Sure she had liked others, before, but nothing like this. She had cared for friends like Chelsea who was like her sister, for all intents and purposes. It was strange to find herself falling in love with someone. But that was exactly what she had done.
She had wished for nothing but the best for Alex and the relationship they were getting themselves into. No one could put into words the feelings that she was overwhelmingly dealing with. Even those that were considered evil because of their actions had a heart, and could love, even if it was an unbeating one. She now understood that even those who did not have a beating heart could love, and could care for someone else, if that person was special enough to them. Chelsea had been the closest thing to family that she had had since she had resided in Italy. It was one of those things she had admired about the woman. She was the glue that held the Volturi together in more ways than one.
As humerous as the idea was of shacking up with someone was since she hadn’t done that yet, she had to admit many thoughts were forming in her brilliant mind. When it came to love she was anything but a pro at it. She’d never felt like this before and so in a certain extent she was absolutely terrified. Love was new to her, like being a vampire had one been. It ws a powerful feeling, something she woul have to get used to. She’d seen how others were with their mates and she wanted to be like that too, but she was not used to needing someone as much as Alex had made her feel. It was an amazing kind of feeling to be honest.
“I wish it was that simple. I hope you’re right though, that it’ll come to me in time. I would appreciate the help, at least a push in the right direction if you will.” A chuckle escaped her lips. “Yes, I suppose he does. It is, his place makes even mine seem like a pebble in the sand.” She was nervous of course as she was unsure of where to start. “Yes well I have known you just as long as you have known me, Chelsea. And I know, there is a chance he could give me things, but that’s not why I’m involved with him. You know if I have him by my side that is enough. Sure I’d love any gifts and treasure them, but it wouldn’t be all I would be expecting. I’ve known him too long to expect anything other than taking things in the direction they have been. He’s a charmer I’ll admit that. You know, it’s strange to think of how many years have passed since I met him. I was a newborn essentially when he and I met. I hadn’t been a vampire very long. And now to look at where life led us, back to eachother. You know I think he was the first vampire that I actually met that I can truly remember what he looked like, and what he sounded like, even then.” A smile appeared on her face as her accent came into it. Emerald Isle was her home, and she was more than proud of the country in which she was born even through all it’s ups and downs. Though she loved Italy more otherwise she wouldn’t be there now, but most of that had to do with her friendship to Chelsea and her loyalty to the Volturi.
